This book of portraits and quotes is one I created from conversations with people living in the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York (the colonized land of the Lenape people). In these conversations, we explore their experiences and notions of home. Sometimes they answer directly what it means to them. More often than not, their thoughts take the form of stories. I want to provide an equitable archive in which people that are generally underrepresented are amplified and have the agency to choose how their record is kept.
