M t Kinabalu Via Ferrata Via ferrata (or iron road in Italian), is a mountain path consisting of a series of rungs, rails and cables embracing the rock face.

There are more than 300 via ferrata routes around the world and the world’s highest via ferrata, can now be found on Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia, whereby the highest point starts at 3,400 m and ends at 3,800 m. This is the first time that the sport of via ferrata climbing is being introduced in Asia.

An activity for everyone, the via ferrata is devised to give people with little or no climbing experience access to rock faces normally reached by mountaineers and rock climbers.

There are several requirements for one to take part in the via ferrata activity, including having an average fitness level, being able to hike up to 3,200m in 6 hours, being at least 10 years of age, being at least 1.3 metres tall; and, especially, having a fearlessness of heights (or willing to conquer their fear of heights).

This is a challenging adventure, and those interested to experience via ferrata on Mount Kinabalu should note that the beginner’s route

While the idea of work addiction (or workaholism) may seem like a novel way to describe a driven person, work addiction is a real mental health condition.

Like any other addiction, work addiction is the inability to stop the behavior. It often stems from a compulsive need to achieve status and success, or to escape emotional stress. Work addiction is often driven by job success and is common in people who can be described as perfectionists.

In a culture where hard work is praised and putting in overtime is often expected, it can be difficult to recognize work addiction. People with work addiction will often justify their behavior by explaining why it is a good thing and can help them achieve success. They may simply appear committed to their job or the success of their projects. However, ambition and addiction are quite different. A person with work addiction engages in compulsive work so as to avoid other aspects of their life, particularly troubling emotional issues or personal crises. Symptoms of a work addiction might include:

Much like someone with a drug addiction, a person with work addiction achieves a “high” from engaging in work. This leads them to keep repeating the behavior that gives them this high. Inpatient treatment requires you to stay at a facility during recovery. Outpatient treatment, on the other hand, allows you to live at home while attending classes and counseling during the day.

Research related to the scale says that if you can answer “often” or “always” to at least four of these items, you may have a work addiction.

In some cases, a work addiction can result from a coexisting mental health condition such as obsessive-compulsive disorder or bipolar disorder. A mental health expert can help design a treatment plan that will address the addiction and any other underlying problems. One-on-one therapy and even medications could assist in controlling impulses, anxiety, and stress.

This is a common result of work addiction.

Burnout can lead to extreme stress, damaged relationships, and even drug abuse.

Without treatment, a person with work addiction could alienate themselves from friends and family. Waiting too long to get help could damage these relationships permanently. Also, chronic stress that could result from constant working can be hard on your physical health, leading to a weakened immune system and increased risk of disease.

Fortunately, work addiction is manageable.

With treatment, people can restore a healthy

Ingredients 1.5kg/3lb 5oz lamb shoulder, boned weight, cut into cubes 4 tbsp medium Indian curry paste 2 tbsp vegetable or sunflower oil generous knob of butter 2 onions, halved then thinly sliced 1 cinnamon stick 6 cardamom pods 400g/14oz can chopped plum tomatoes 1 tbsp tomato purée 300ml/½ pint hot chicken or lamb stock 400g/14oz can chickpeas, drained 125g/4½oz baby leaf spinach, well washed Preparation method Place the diced lamb shoulder into a bowl or food bag. Mix in three tablespoons of curry paste and leave to marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature, or up to 24 hours in the fridge.

Heat the oil and butter in a large heavy based pan, then add the onions, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods and the remaining tablespoon of curry paste. Fry over a medium heat for 10 minutes, until the onions are softened and starting to turn golden-brown.

Add the marinated lamb, and fry for a couple of

minutes until the meat has changed colour - it doesn’t have to be browned.

Stir in the chopped tomatoes, tomato purée and enough stock to cover most of the lamb, with the top pieces just poking clear of the liquid.

Add the chickpeas and bring the mixture up to the boil, then turn the heat down to a simmer, and cook gently for 1 – 1½ hours, until the lamb is very tender and the sauce is rich and

Spoon away the excess fat that will have gathered on the top of the curry, then season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Add the spinach, stirring the spinach leaves into the curry until they wilt.

Serve the curry with your favourite rice, breads and chutneys.

I’ve witnessed people who are initially confounded, even repulsed, by the 5.5-inch phablet, hold and play with it for a while and then proclaim this is the iPhone 6 for them. Perhaps that’s why Apple chose to build an iPhone that’s almost too big for a pocket, but, as one woman told me, would fit quite nicely in a clutch.

There are so many similarities between the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, that this review will focus primarily on the key differences, the benefits you get from owning an iPhone 6 Plus and the design and software choices Apple made to maintain usability and, more importantly, “reachability.”

At 6.22 inches tall by 3 inches wide, the iPhone 6 Plus lives up to its plus-sized name.

For the sake of comparison, the iPhone 6 is 5.44 x 2.64 inches, respectively (the iPhone 5S is a puny in comparison at 4.75 x 2.25 inches). At 6.07 ounces, the iPhone 6 Plus significantly outweighs the 4.55-ounce iPhone 6.

Despite its extra heft, the larger iPhone is just two millimeters thicker than the iPhone 6.

Other than size and price (the iPhone 6 Plus starts at $299 for a 16GB model), the iPhone 6 Plus closely follows the design language of the iPhone 6, right down to the slightly protruding iSight camera.

With its size and weight, the iPhone 6 Plus feels more like a mini tablet than a phone and easily fills one of my pockets. I prefer the

smaller smartphone, but based on recent preorder reports, I may be in the minority.

With the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus being so similar (with the exception of OIS and some widescreen extras), the choice comes down to size, and that’s a very personal choice.

If you want a phablet, the iPhone 6 Plus is a very good one. That big screen is especially well suited to movie watching and game playing, but also packs in a lot more info from web pages and emails than you’ll get from the iPhone 6, 5S and other, smaller smartphones.

To be honest, I can see why, even with the heftier price tag, the iPhone 6 Plus is so alluring, but no, I won’t be carrying that giant device in my pocket or feeling its slightly hefty body tottering in my hand. I prefer the iPhone 6.

Owners of the new iPhone 6 Plus have been left angered as it emerged the phone can bend out of shape simply when stored in a pocket.

Since the new model launched on Friday, a small but growing number of iPhone 6 Plus owners have reported the issue that significantly alters the appearance of the phone.

place the pan over a medium heat. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring regularly until the spices are lightly toasted – you know they’re ready when you can smell the spicy aroma.

Place the chicken on its breast on a sturdy chopping board and cut carefully either side of the backbone with good scissors or poultry shears. Chuck out the bone and cut off the foot joints and wing tips. Strip all the skin off the bird apart from the ends of the wings. You’ll find this simpler to do if you snip the membrane between the skin and the chicken flesh as you go. Cut off and discard any obvious fat – it will be a creamy white colour. Open out the chicken and place it on the board so the breast side is facing upwards.

Press down heavily with the palms of your hands to break the breastbone and flatten the chicken as evenly as possible. This will help it cook more quickly. Slash the meat with a knife through the thickest parts of the legs and breast. Place the chicken in a shallow nonmetallic dish – a lasagne dish is ideal – and tuck in the legs and wings.

Cover the dish with cling film and put the chicken in the fridge to marinate for at least four hours or ideally overnight. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6. Take the chicken out of the dish and place it on a rack inside a large baking tray, breast-side up. Squeeze over some juice from the lime and season with ground black pepper.

Roast for 1-1¼ hours until the chicken is lightly browned and cooked throughout, tossing the lime quarters on to the rack for the last 20 minutes to cook alongside the chicken. They’ll be good for squeezing over the meat later.

The juices should run clear when the thickest part of one of the thighs is pierced with a skewer. Cover loosely with foil and leave to rest for 10 minutes before carving. While the chicken is resting, make the sauce. Spoon the yoghurt into a serving bowl and stir in the mint sauce until thoroughly combined. ‫یک بسته چند عدد چیپس به دهان بگذارید مشکل چندانی پیش نخواهد آمد؛‬ ‫اما اگر عادت داشته باشید که مشت مشت از این محصوالت غذایی را به دهان‬ ‫ببرید باید بیشتر حواستان باشد‪ .‬چون چیپس ها سرشار از نمک‪ ،‬چربی‪ ،‬کالری و‬ ‫مواد نگه دارنده اند و از طرف دیگر فاقد مواد مغذی و فیبرهای غذایی هستند‪.‬‬ ‫نوشیدنی های گازدار‬ ‫توصیه می کنیم نوشابه ها را از سبد غذایی تان حذف کنید به خاطر اینکه‬ ‫سرشار از کالری و قند هستند و هیچ ماده مغذی وارد بدن نمی کنند‪ .‬فراموش‬ ‫نکنید که این نوشیدنی ها همچنین حاوی شربت ذرت و سرشار از فروکتوز‬ ‫هستند‪ .‬نتایج پژوهش ها نشان می دهند که نوشیدنی های گازدار باعث افزایش‬ ‫قند خون شده و به سلول های کبد آسیب می زنند‪ .‬این نوشیدنی ها از عوامل‬ ‫اصلی چاقی و بیماری های باکتریایی هستند که درعین حال خطر ابتال به‬ ‫سرطان را نیز افزایش می دهند چون بدن را اسیدی می کنند‪.‬‬ ‫بیسکویت‪ ،‬کراکر‪ ،‬کیک ها و مافین ها‬ ‫این مواد غذایی که اتفاق ًا پرطرفدار نیز هستند حاوی میزان زیادی قند‪ ،‬نمک‬

‫و همچنین اسیدهای چرب ترانس هستند‪ .‬اسیدهای چرب ترانس باعث می‬ ‫شوند که ماندگاری این محصوالت بیشتر شده و ظاهر آن ها نیز بهتر باشند‪.‬‬ ‫اگر به این مواد غذایی عالقه زیادی دارید طرز تهیه شان را بیاموزید و در منزل‬ ‫تهیه کنید‪.‬‬ ‫کروکت مرغ آماده‬ ‫تقریب ًا در تمام فست فودهای زنجیره ای کروکت مرغ ارائه می شود که یکی‬ ‫از غذاهای مورد عالقه بچه هاست‪ .‬به همین دلیل بعد از دیدن این غذا به‬ ‫سختی خواهید توانست ساالد یا سبزیجات دیگر را به خورد فرزندتان بدهید‪ .‬به‬

‫احتمال زیاد کروکتهای بسته بندی شده و آماده در یخچال سوپرمارکت محله‬ ‫تان نیز پیدا می شود که می توانید با گرم کردن آن ها به یک غذای سریع‬ ‫دست پیدا کنید؛ اما توصیه ما این است که از مصرف این قبیل مواد غذایی آماده‬ ‫و صنعتی بپرهیزید‪ .‬به خاطر اینکه بسیار شور‪ ،‬چرب و حاوی مواد نگه دارنده‬ ‫فراوانی هستند‪.‬‬ ‫غالت صبحانه شیرین‬ ‫غالت صبحانه که به همراه شیر صرف می شوند شاید به ظاهر غذای مغذی و‬ ‫خوبی به نظر بیایند؛ اما واقعیت این است که غالت صبحانه آماده سرشار از قند‬ ‫هستند که در صورت مصرف بی رویه امکان ابتال به دیابت را فراهم خواهند‬ ‫کرد‪ .‬همچنین باید بدانید که این غالت فیبر کمی دارند‪ .‬بهتر است غالتی‬ ‫انتخاب کنید که حاوی حداقل ‪ 5‬گرم فیبر بوده و کمترین میزان قند را داشته‬ ‫باشد‪ .‬همچنین می توانید مقداری میوه تازه به پیاله غالتتان اضافه کنید تا میزان‬ ‫فیبر دریافتی تان باال برود‪.‬‬ ‫پاپ کورن های تهیه شده در ماکروویو‬ ‫تماشای فیلم یا فوتبال با خوردن پاپ کورن قدمتی طوالنی دارد‪ .‬درست است‬ ‫که ذرت بوداده خواص زیادی دارد و برای سالمتی مفید است اما بهتر است‬ ‫دور و بر محصوالت بسته بندی شده را خط بکشید‪ .‬پاپ کورن هایی که در‬ ‫ماکروویو تهیه می شوند حاوی یک ماده شیمیایی به نام دی استیل هستند که‬ ‫به عملکرد ریه ها آسیب می زنند‪ .‬اگر خودتان یا فرزندانتان به پاپ کورن عالقه‬ ‫مند هستید بهتر است خودتان و در منزل با کنترل روغن و نمک اقدام به تهیه‬ ‫پاپ کورن سالم بکنید‪.‬‬
