In this project, students were asked to make a design for a house of five. The husband is described as an entrepreneur who has a dentist wife with two kids and hired one household assistant. Therefore, we also have to designed a dentist clinic for his wife to work. The site is located quite near from town center which can be an advantage but on the contrary needs to be concerned because of the loud noises. This site plan describes an outcome from observation based on its existing.

The concept that is tried to be applied in this project was ‘Japandi’ which combine Japanese and Scandinavian design style. It has a lot of wood accents, neutral colors, and a simple yet clean look.

In this project, students were asked to make a mall design, a commercial building. The challenge is to make this building unique, but on the other hand, target visitors predicted in this area would be middle to lower class. As a result, the idea is to make a cozy public space for people to feel secure and assume that this place can be attended by anyone. Jatinangor Lifestyle Place represents a fresh and modern commercial building which reachable to various classes, especially in Jatinangor.

The mass composition of this mall was starting from the site existing itself. This site has a diagonal shape that makes the placement of this building difficult, but turning to produce an extraordinary form.

Concrete structure applied in this project because there was only one basement and 4 floors above it. Like other commercial buildings in general, curtain wall picked as the technique for the openings to expose every store and booth inside the mall.

This competition asked us to design a type 36 and 45 residence with millennials as the target market. Both houses are suitable for the needs of modern families, with ‘practicality’ as the main concept. The minimalist style of this building creates an efficient inner space to fulfill the needs of today’s modern families.

Mildern City is a type 36 (Maloca) and type 45 (Amber) house property project that refers to 3 main points including millennial, modern and simplicity. In addition to having an aesthetic building facade, this residential design also follows the trend of modern millennial home styles and remains simple.

Amber House is a two level type 45 house that has a total area of 72 sqm (6 x 12 meters). It has facilities of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, family room, clean kitchen, dining table, washing and drying area, also a carport for one car. This house is suitable for more family members with various needs. Each bedroom of Amber House has 1 bed and 1 adjustable cabinet as a work/ study desk. This cabinet innovation is made to utilize space efficiently.

The combination of wood material with white and gray colors creates a simple, clean and comfortable impression, but still contains neutral elements so that it can be acceptable to many people.

Maloca House is a one level type 36 house that has a land area of 72 sqm (6 x 12 meters). It has facilities of 2 bedrooms, 1 toilet, family room, kitchen, dining table and carport for 1 car. This home is suitable for new families who need an efficient compact home.

Even though it only has one floor, Maloca House has a high ceiling to create an open space which is large enough to allow for good living. Folding doors that lead directly to a small garden beside the house make natural lighting into the house and help to save energy during the day.
One of the characteristics of a modern-millennial house is the functional efficiency of space for activities. The Covid-19 pandemic requires our house to be a place for so many activities, as a result, the design has to be adaptive to the activities carried out by its users.

SL House is a house project for a family that consist of a husband and wife and their 2 children. While working on this project, I was asked to work on several things such as the façade and the details of the inner room. On this occasion, I learned a lot about how to using materials, combining colors, and looking for the most suitable shape composition for this house.

When planning on more detailed things, I was helped by my colleague, Nurul, and try to design the floor patterns, ceilings and walls in every room of this house. It takes several revisions until finally the design can be approved by the client.

In this project, I was asked to finalize the design of a public park in a residential area. There are some request, including how this park can be comfortable enough for all ages, does not require a large enough cost but still looks beautiful. As a result, the green area becomes something more dominant, coupled with a sitting area in the middle of the park for people to relax.

This project is an assignment from the Interior Architecture specialization course that asks the students to make a kitchen interior. The modern concept chosen with a predominance of wood materials and black colors to make an elegant impression.

The process of designing this kitchen space is similar with designing a building. We were asked to brainstorm from zoning area, listing the necessary items in the kitchen space and trying to design some customized furniture to keep necessities.

This project is a sports building that is going to be functioned as a golf driving range. It is located on contoured ground so that the main floor is on the 3rd level and has 2 semi-basements below, as well as 3 floors above it. The site of this project is a naturally-beautiful place filled with many big trees, which tried to be maintained. As a result, two large-tall trees were preserved and made as portals into the building.

Floor Plan Drawings

The main facilities of this building are certainly a place to practicing golf, which divide as a regular and VIP bay. There is also a proshop to buy golf sports equipment. Furthermore, there are some other supporting facilities such as cafe, prayer rooms, changing rooms, bathrooms and toilets, and also utility rooms for building purposes.

This building façade will be dominated by glass, exposed steel and ACP (Aluminum Composite Panel). The position of the building that is quite near to the main road makes it an advantage and also challenge to be explored the design further. We tried to apply CNC laser cutting on the ACP to produce a form of many dots into a tree. The image of this tree itself was chosen because the existing situation is lush enough and make it seems to adapt to the surrounding circumstances.
