Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. What a bold and all-encompassing statement Jesus makes with these words about the reach the Gospel will have. He declares that the Good News of His saving grace and life-redeeming power will make it to the “whole world” so that “all nations” will hear of who He is. Jesus left no doubt that the Gospel will be…must be, far reaching. And because we believe wholeheartedly in the One who made this claim, it’s our mission and desire at Kingsway Church to take the Gospel as far as we can.

When each person at Kingsway gives generously to Kingdom Builders, we continue our commitment to reaching further with the love of God and the hope that Jesus offers. It’s been said that the Gospel is only Good News if it reaches people in time and those sobering words are what motivates us to stay devoted to praying, and giving, and going so the nations will hear of the Jesus we love and His power to save.

I want to thank each of you who are Kingdom Builders that sacrificially and open-handedly give to send out our global workers, strengthen our local churches and missions partnerships, and equip the next generation of leaders. The difference you are making is real, felt, appreciated by many and kingdom impactful. Let’s remain unwaveringly committed to reaching further in 2024 so that all nations will hear the Good News.

GLOBAL MISSIONS

BIBLICAL FOUNDATION

All throughout Scripture, you can see God’s heart for the world and the nations. In fact, there are 1,600 Bible verses that show God’s passion for the world. From Genesis to Revelation, God’s desire is to make Himself known and show His love to all people on earth.

In John 3:16, it says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only son.” Christ’s last words can be found in Acts 1:8. He says, “You will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

These words of Christ are our common mission as followers of Jesus. Our ultimate goal, found in Scripture, is depicted in Revelation 7:9-10, where it says that every tribe and nation would gather around the throne of Jesus, giving Him all of the praise and worship.

Simply put, the aim of “missions” is to see God’s glory and the Gospel advancement among all nations and people on earth.

If God’s heart is for the world and the nations, are our hearts in alignment with His mission? As followers of Jesus, we should be on mission for Him so that all may know and worship Him.

“For our Christmas ministry in December 2023, we were able to bless six different drug and alcohol rehab centers with much need supplies for the residents and multiple 50lb bags of beans, rice, and lentils for the centers.  In addition to the ministry in the centers, almost 200 kids from the Colli came to our Christmas posada (Christmas service/party) and we were able to deliver another 180 gift bags for the kids in that same neighborhood.”

CHILDREN’S FEEDING

HOPE BEGINS WITH A MEAL

Convoy of Hope wants to see lives changed — free from poverty and hunger — through Children’s Feeding. A nutritious meal opens doors to provide children and their families with education, clean water, job and agricultural training, and a sense of hope.

AGRICULTURE

HOPE IN EVERY HARVEST

Food security transforms communities by lifting people out of dependence for their daily sustenance. Through Convoy of Hope’s Agriculture program, vulnerable farmers and families are equipped with skills, tools, and seeds to produce life-sustaining crops. Tens of thousands of meals are harvested each year, some of which are used to support Convoy’s Children’s Feeding program — simultaneously generating income for local farmers.

RURAL INITIATIVES

HOPE FOR RURAL COMMUNITIES

Poverty and hunger have gained a devastating edge in rural communities. Through Rural Initiatives, Convoy resources, empowers, and partners with rural churches through training, mentoring, and coaching. Convoy believes that increased presence and partnership with local leaders will help strengthen and enrich entire neighborhoods and towns.

HOPE IN EVERY COMMUNITY

At Community Events, Convoy provides free groceries, health services, haircuts, family portraits, job services, veterans services, a Kids Zone, a hot meal, new children’s shoes, and much more to those who may not have the means to acquire these things themselves. These events strengthen communities by meeting the immediate needs of local families and creating opportunities for future collaboration between local entities.

WHAT WE DO

DISASTER SERVICES HOPE IN EVERY STORM

Convoy of Hope’s Disaster Services team is consistently among the first to respond to disasters at home and around the world. This team is highly regarded for its scalable response and distribution model, which utilizes several warehouses, a specialized disaster response fleet, and a highly trained team of staff and volunteers to respond to disasters quickly and effectively.

WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT HOPE FOR EVERY WOMAN

When women are given the opportunity to generate income, it impacts their families and their country’s economic standing. Convoy partners with women to develop sustainable resources that they can leverage to make more strategic, independent life choices.

GLOBAL MISSIONS

To increase the impact of each global team, we send $10,000 to the ministry/ missionary with whom we partner. Funds may be used for construction, Vacation Bible School, food distribution, humanitarian relief, or any other need identified that will enable more people to find and follow Jesus.

MISSION TRIP PROJECTS

“When we first felt called to Colombia, the areas that we felt called to serve in were closed due to conflict. But we trusted in the Lord’s calling, and He continually opened door after door for us to minster in the heart of one of the most complex regions of Colombia. By establishing a permanent office for Convoy of Hope in the region, we have new doors to minister to families who live in conflict, through our main initiatives (Children’s Nutrition, Women’s Empowerment, and Agriculture), setting us up to plant the church deeper into Colombia than ever before. During 2023 we were able to provide a meal a day to over 2000 children, train 450 farmers, and empower 100 women to start a business. All of whom had access to a Gospel witness while receiving a tangible manifestation of the Lord’s love for them.”

THE STATE OF THE WORLD

The state of the world paints a picture of a worthy work left unfinished. To understand this world, we must be aware of how many people have yet to hear the Good News of Jesus. Those that are waiting and have very little or no access to this Gospel are known as the unreached.

7,246 people groups in the world are considered unreached.

3.4 billion people live among the unreached.

42% of the world has yet to hear the Good News of Jesus.

Only 10% of the 7,397 known languages have a complete Bible.

Kingdom Builders is committed to funding the expansion of God’s kingdom locally – through outreaches, enlarging our own campuses, planting churches, and partnering with local ministries serving in our own backyards. We want to help the hurting and make sure our neighbors hear about and experience the love of Jesus. We do not do this for comfort, extravagant buildings, or praise, but to help as many people as possible find and follow Jesus.

SERVE Week is eight days of service in our community, sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways. Our goal isn’t to promote our church; there’s no hidden agenda. Our goal is to serve. For those 192 hours, we focus on being the hands and feet of Jesus. Our prayer is that our combined efforts will be a powerful display of God’s love for people.

SERVE WEEK

“As a parent, you’re always focused on making sure your kids are growing up with the right values and the best way is just to live out life to define what “normal” is for your family.  Our “normal” is serving our community.  It’s loving on those around us.  It’s representing Christ to those that may not know Him yet.  Our “normal” is setting time aside to think less of ourselves and be more aware of the world around us and doing something tangible to impact that world.  We look forward to being a part of Serve Week every year and sit down together to figure out which projects we can do.  We’ve met so many incredible people and have so many great stories of experiences we’ve had together.  It’s one of the highlights of our year.“

FACES OF CHANGE

Faces of Change is an addiction services ministry based in Camden. It provides assessments, referrals, processing, and support meetings for those battling addiction. Led by Lucy DuBose, they also go out into the community every Sunday night, meeting the needs of the homeless and those on the streets.

TEEN CHALLENGE

A Christian-based organization, Adult and Teen Challenge assists people in gaining freedom from chemical addictions and other lifecontrolling problems by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

ABILITY TREE

GOAL AMOUNT = $10,000

Kingdom Builders partners with Missionaries Joe and Jen Butler, in advancing the mission of Ability Tree, a non-profit organization that is devoted to making Jesus accessible to all by:

1 Providing disability ministry training for the local church through nation-wide consulting. We help churches become more accessible through assessing their place, people and programs.

2 Providing R.E.S.T. (Recreation, Education, Support, & Training) to individuals and families impacted by disability through local branches in NJ, AR, & FL.

LeaderUP

LeaderUP aims to bridge the gap between church and community, by powerfully engaging and inspiring youth to be leaders through developing relationships. LeaderUP provides a biblical approach to life skills and discipleship to instill long-term change in the lives of youth. Founder/Executive Director – Marcus Bell

LOCAL CHURCH EXPANSION

The WOW Center is a New Jersey- based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission of empowering real women with real stories to thrive, dream, believe, and pursue the impossible through love and community.

The WOW Center is a community of women who stand alongside each other imperfect, restored, and redeemed. Through the sharing of personal testimony and faith in action, WOW empowers women to fully embrace and believe, “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.”

The WOW Center provides programming for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, individuals experiencing homelessness, and women who are currently or were formerly incarcerated.

WOW programming includes a food pantry, free clothing boutique, financial empowerment classes, entrepreneurship cohorts, job development, group fitness classes, cooking classes, senior craft activities, mental health support groups, and more!

In 1 Timothy, Paul writes to the young leader, Timothy, encouraging him to set the example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. Kingdom Builders believes in coming alongside our next generation leaders to foster a love for the Bible, God and the lost. Our Kingdom Builders partnerships work with organizations that care for the physical and spiritual needs of our next generation leaders from birth through those beginning their careers. We want the next generation to serve, give and love more.

KINGSWAY LEADERSHIP SCHOOL

Kingsway Leadership School is designed to help identify and develop next generation leaders that will shape the future. Students engage in character development, pursue an accredited, academic degree, and receive hands-on ministry training.

KLS students develop in three areas: Heart (Character) Head (Academics) Hands (Ministry Training)

Beginning the process of missions awareness, concern, and stewardship in young lives. BGMC challenges kids to reach the world by introducing them to the Great Commission at the earliest possible age.

At Kingsway, we want our kids to be Kingdom Builders too. They are discipled to pray for missionaries and give towards BGMC every month.

Student-led initiative...

providing essential transportation and creative communication equipment, like boats, cars, and even yaks, for missionary evangelism. REVO students are challenged to be Kingdom Builders, investing in spreading the Gospel around the world.

HOW WILL YOU TAKE HOLD IN 2024?

These projects only get funded by the over-and-above giving to Kingdom Builders. When you give to Kingdom Builders, God’s marvelous kingdom expands.

At Kingsway Church, we believe that every Christ-follower is called to tithe (10%) of their full income to their local church. Kingdom Builders is above and beyond our tithe and is generous and sacrificial giving that God lays on our heart to change the world.

By God’s abundant grace and blessings, and through the sacrifice of many, we were able to give away more than any other time in our history as a church. We invested in people and organizations who are expanding (building) the kingdom of God globally, locally and in the next generation.

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?

It requires a generous sacrifice from all of us. If you are new to giving or looking for ways to grow to new levels in your giving, here are some practical steps:

PLAN

When you have plans and are diligent, its beneficial (Proverbs 21:5). God is excited when you have a plan that involves blessing His kingdom. Whatever the amount is – put a plan in place, work the plan and be obedient with it. Start there.

VISION

The next step is to ask God to give you a vision for what He could do through you with His help. This is beyond what you can do in your natural income. It’s a step of faith. Additionally, Habakkuk 2:2 tells us to write that vision down and pray about it. God will supply all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Stepping out in faith pleases God.

DREAM

What would be a dream number? Hold onto the dream. Don’t tell people about it – keep it between you and God. Watch God bring you closer to the dream number.

- Towards the purchase of a van for the Mexican Ministry Training School in Oaxaca, Mexico. The van transports students to assignments and ministry trainings all throughout Oaxaca

- To translate a course for the Oral Learners Bible Initiative

- To Connect Church, a church plant in Hightstown, NJ, for the purchase of a sound system

THE CHRISTMAS OFFERING

Every year, we set aside one Sunday to give back to Jesus through Kingdom Builders. It’s one of the biggest Sundays of the year for us. Because Jesus came, to give His life so that ALL would know Him, we give generously to fund the missionaries and projects we call Kingdom Builders partners.

In 2024, the Christmas Offering will be Sunday, December 8, 2024.

And the Holy Spirit said...

“While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.”

– Acts 13:2-3

It’s challenging, in a swiftly changing world, to outline every mission need months in advance. That’s why, a portion of Kingdom Builders funds are categorized as “And the Holy Spirit said…” Like the disciples in Acts 13, we desire to be a people led by the Spirit of God, prepared to respond however and whenever He leads. As needs, opportunities, or special projects arise – we stand ready to partner with God, the Holy Spirit wherever He is moving.
