Arriving in the UK Before you depart Please make sure you complete the online passenger locator questionnaire before you leave home it will save a lot of time at immigration on arrival. It is a requirement by the UK Government.

Direct trains to Brighton run all day, from approx. 5am in the morning right through to 2am at night

Trains run regularly all day until about midnight — just ask station staff for a ticket to Brighton and they can point you to the correct platform. Brighton station is the last one on the line so you won’t miss it!

If you have booked an airport transfer through Kings, our representative will meet you at or near the airport information desk.

They will be holding a Kings sign with your name and ‘Kings Brighton’ on it.

Our representative will be wearing a face mask and will expect you to wear one too, in the airport and during the journey.

The journey will take you between 30 and 45 minutes and should cost under £20

If for some reason you do not make contact with them at the arrivals area, please ask the airport information staff to put a call out for the Kings representative.

From London Heathrow airport

If you still cannot find your driver, please call the Kings Brighton Emergency Number on page 1.

Your driver will drop you off directly at your residence, homestay, or private accommodation, or the school.

If you have not yet submitted your flight details, or would like to book a transfer, please contact our admissions team to do this. You need to do this at least one week before you travel.

From Heathrow Airport, you can take the Heathrow Express train into Central London (Paddington Station) which will take approximately 15 minutes. From here, you can take the underground to London Victoria and catch a train to Brighton Station. Alternatively, you can take the underground (Tube) from Heathrow to London Victoria (Piccadilly Line and Circle and District Line) before catching a train down to Brighton.

Getting to Kings Brighton From the train station

By bus

The train station is an easy 5 – 10-minute walk from Kings Brighton.

The closest bus stop to Kings Brighton is London Road Shops (stops B, C or S), which is on many of the main bus routes and can be accessed from most areas of the city.

Buses servicing these stops include 5, 5A, 5B, 21A, 22, 37, 46, 48, 49, 50, 50U. The school is only 3 minutes’ walk from the London Road bus stops.

From the coach station The coach station is an easy 20-minute walk from Kings Brighton.

Your first day at Kings Brighton

Arrival and induction

More information about our policies can be downloaded here

You will then be taken into a classroom where you will receive an induction and a level test. We will also need to take a copy of your passport and/or BRP card so please have these available and bring a copy with you if possible. You should remain seated at your individual desk unless a staff member allows you to move around the classroom If you haven’t received your Classmate login details already, these will be provided on your first day — giving you access to more information and e-learning recourses that will be used alongside your classes You will also receive your class timetable on the first day so that you will know your schedule for the rest of the week A Kings staff member will take all new students on a walk around the local area during your first week, so you get to know the local environment and feel more at home You will meet other students who are also new to Kings and start making friends straight away

Please arrive at school for 08.45 on the first day of your course If you are travelling by public transport, please remember to wear a face covering Once at school, you will be required to wear a face covering while in communal areas such as reception, corridors, toilets and the canteen. You may remove your face covering once you are in your classroom, though you are welcome to continue wearing one if it makes you feel more comfortable. Please ensure that you bring face coverings with you on your first day.

You will notice directional signage around the school. Please remember to follow the signage as this will help you to maintain a safe distance from others On arrival to the school reception, you will be asked to sanitise your hands and your temperature will be tested
