Since my last article I am glad to report that Marchand Petit Prime Waterfront and Country House has had a very successful quarter securing some fantastic sales for our existing clients and also managing to secure sales for our new clients where their previous agents failed!! Christmas seemed to come early this year and just as we thought things were wrapping up for the winter chill a final flurry of excitement whirled through our doors, as a series of last minute price adjustments resulted in a number of outstanding sales. However, there are still a lot of people out there who
have decided to leave the important decision making process of buying and selling houses until next spring. and selling? Well, based on the current economic climate and the continued expected uncertainty in 2012 I fear we will not be seeing any major increases in prices. Instead, I think we will see a very similar market to that of 2011, where valuing property correctly will be crucial in achieving sales. It will be a market where only realistic buyers and sellers will realise their goals. Flexibility will go a long way. So how do you get a step ahead of the competition? Preparation is the key. If you are considering putting your house on the market early in the New Year, choose your estate agent now and work together to create a strong launch program, an
outstanding set of details and a productive advertising schedule. In this way you will be in plenty of time to make the most of, what is probably, your most important financial asset. Most importantly choose an agent with exceptional local knowledge, as regional price variations in the market are more prevalent now than ever.
