Renaissance

lookbook fall/winter 16/17

The velvet, lace, and intricate details of Renaissance elegance return in the 21st century. It is an expressive texture, soft to the touch and gorgeous to the eyes, with a slight shimmer and the ability to keep you warm against the elements.

A true Renaissance woman wears delicate and cultured outerwear, as shown by Oscar de la Renta, while luxurious velvet and classical colors are reawakened on the Roksanda catwalk.

This autumn will be bursting with blooms, as seen in the floral motifs of a number of designers, including Gucci, Prada, and Michael Kors. Gucci and neirastÄ m play with bright colors, while Prada combines bold hues with botanical impressions. Michael Kors freshly connects furs with florals.

Attach the striping tape as pictured - one bold diagonal line and 3 thin vertical lines.

Proenza Shouler connects time-honored neutrals, leather, and fine knitwear, while a rough knit sweater is the perfect partner for a feathery skirt from Michael Kors. However, as seen in Emilio Pucci, an eye-catching oversized sweater is a seasonal must-have.
