1979 Née le 25 juin 1979 à Montréal, Kim Waldron est la deuxième enfant de James Bellord Waldron III et d’Ann Waldron.
Kim Waldron was born on June 25, 1979, the second child of James Bellord Waldron III and Ann Waldron in Montreal.
Sa grand-mère, la danseuse Virginia Bacon, avait sa propre compagnie de danse à New York dans les années 1930. Ayant été élevé par une mère danseuse, son père, un ophtalmologiste, encourage ses aspirations artistiques.
Her grandmother, Virginia Bacon, was a dancer who had her own dance company in New York City in the 1930s. Having been raised by a dancer, her father, an ophthalmologist, encouraged her artistic pursuits.
1999-2003 Kim Waldron étudie la photographie, la gravure et la vidéo au Nova Scotia College of Art & Design, à Halifax, et obtient un baccalauréat en arts médiatiques. Elle a pour conseiller Michael Fernandes.
Kim Waldron studies photography, printmaking and video at Nova Scotia College of Art & Design, in Halifax, and graduates with a BFA in Media Arts. Her advisor was Michael Fernandes.
2001 Kim Waldron participe à un programme d’échange de trois mois qui lui permet d’étudier à l’École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris auprès de Jean-Marc Bustamante et de Sophie Calle. Elle fait la rencontre de Nan Goldin lors d’une conférence de l’artiste au Centre Pompidou. À cette époque, elle travaille au projet Working Assumption.
Kim Waldron attends a three-month exchange program at École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris, France where she studies with Jean-Marc Bustamante and Sophie Calle. She meets the artist Nan Goldin at her artist talk at the Centre Pompidou. During this time she creates the project Working Assumption.
2003 Elle présente la série photographique Working Assumption au Khyber Centre for the Arts, à Halifax, et dans le cadre de l’exposition Proof 10 à la Gallery 44, à Toronto.
She exhibits the photo series Working Assumption at the Kyber Centre for the Arts in Halifax, and as part of Proof 10 at Gallery 44 in Toronto.
2004-2007 En 2004, elle reçoit une première bourse du Conseil des arts du Canada pour la réalisation du projet The Dad Tapes/The Mom Photographs. Il lui faudra trois ans pour le mener à terme.

In 2004 she receives her first grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to produce the project The Dad Tapes/The Mom Photographs. It takes her three years to complete the project.
