The KimPossible Project aims to impact teens and young women who are experiencing similar challenges to those that I experienced in my youth. The mission is to share some of the vital life lessons, self-advocacy, soft skills, business/work preparedness and other tools that I wish I had been taught, as opposed to 'figuring it out' along the way. I believe that the path to womanhood begins with two pivotal phases, the teens and the 20s; with that, I have curated a curriculum for both age groups.
For the pilot program KPP is partnering with Shemika May, Shelter Director at Community Advocates - where the workshop will be facilitated. Our facilitators, are a collective of female industry leaders with roles including Physicians, Professors, Therapists, Executives and Health & Wellness Experts. The KPP will explore the following topics:
Communication Skills for Self-Advocacy
Financial Literacy
Etiquette
Resume Building & Interview Skills
Mental Health
Art Therapy & Creative Writing
Women in Tech
Post Secondary & Special Education Advocacy
Physical & Spiritual Wellness
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
You can support the KimPossible Project by purchasing the Flyy Girl Centerpieces or contact Kimberly Carver-Wilder to make a donation.
