to our fifth Burlap and Barbed Wire female sale. On behalf of our sale partners, Burgman Farms and Klein Ranch, we welcome you to the sale and we are excited to bring you this offering. These females represent the top cut from our individual herds and are sound, functional, profitable females that know how to work for a living.

Weather has given us major challenges since our last B & B sale - starting with drought the first two-thirds of 2018, then turning too wet the rest of 2018 and so far in 2019. Calving, breeding, haying and every other aspect of farming and ranching has been extremely difficult. We hope an easier winter is in store.

As always, we have a shared commitment to integrity and a vision of the importance of proven maternal value. Each of us goes about it in a slightly different way, but the focus is the same: build a better cow, and the rest will take care of itself.

This year’s offering includes Simmental, SimAngus™ (red and black), and Angus. There are fall pairs, fall and spring opens, spring breds and one embryo lot.

Because of our unwavering belief in selection for proven maternal traits without regard to the current popular bulls, you will find pedigrees at this sale which are complete outcross to many of the most popular lines of bulls. The mating flexibility provided by these outcross genetic packages presents a tremendous opportunity.

All breeding age females have been bangs vaccinated and have had IBR, BVD, PI3, Vibrio and Lepto vaccines.

All have been poured with Ivermectin. Contact the individual owners with any other herd health questions you may have.

This will be a video only auction, and no cattle will go through the sale ring. Females will be available for viewing prior to the sale as well as sale day.
