DOMEXTIC Ottawa’s Planning and Infrastucture Comittee has developped a new Zoning By-Law for the industrial sector of the Bayview Trainstation. This area is located between Mechanicsville and Little Italy. This zoning is made up of areas going from 6 to 30 storey’s high in response to the impending new OCTranspo line that will transgress Bayview

moving to the Bayview area, this project suggests a workshop that will support the residential migration of people through furniture reclycling. exchange of domestic goods between established
old furniture to the workshop. Designer and craftsmen will then transform those items into ‘“new” ones that will appeal to the residents of the area for their personal use. Beside the recycling and production, a important part of the workshop relies on product exposure. The design suggest spaces to inform the public: cafe and showroom. main commercial arteries. Programs are formally divided into contained mezzanine areas and open lower areas. Thus, specialised programs, such as Spray booth, metal shop, plastic, showroom and café are found inside these elevated close zones whereas general programs such as woodshop/general production zone along with the collaborative studio space are located below and follow an open plan aesthetic.
