A LOVE STORY

ROOTED IN FATE

Married to Michael Costello, a distinguished, luxury homebuilder in Breckenridge, Maggi’s personal story of how everything came together to result in her current life is nothing short of blessed happenstance. A homegrown Wisconsin girl, she and Michael grew up only 15 minutes apart from each other in Oshkosh and Neenah, making each other’s acquaintance

when she was 19. As college students, they even interacted with each other and had mutual friends in both Wisconsin and Colorado, but they didn’t date until a little later in life.

Flashing forward a few decades or so, Maggi had a full family life, married with four great kids. One day while in Breckenridge for her boys’ hockey tour-nament, she happened to notice a boy with the name “Costello” printed on the back of his shirt. Upon closer inspection, she noticed her old friend Michael Costello, also married, standing by the glass down by the rink, watching his son play hockey. They happily acknowl-edged each other, then went their separate ways. It wasn’t until they were both single a few years later that they got together to talk again.

Now married to Michael for one year after dating for three years, they love to spend time together, whether it be biking, snowshoeing, lifting weights, pickleball or just sitting in peace with the glory of God. A favorite subject of Maggi’s, she makes no bones about the importance God has played and still plays in her life. Above all else, her faith in Jesus is the guiding force behind everything she does.

“God has answered so many prayers,” she says. “He has always provided, and

he is the only reason I made it as a single mom of four kids.”

Maggi’s life events and job experiences have assisted in molding her into the strong, capable person she is today. From time spent working at Nordstrom to selling men’s custom clothing for J. Hilburn and running two coffee shops, selling real estate was a natural progression for her. It’s her unwavering faith, however, that fuels her dedication to serving her clients with honesty, integrity, and compassion. Using the analogy of her time serving customers at Nordstrom to reference how she feels about her clients, Maggi firmly states, “Whether someone buys a $20 t-shirt or a $200 dress, you treat them the same way. They deserve a luxury experience regardless of the price point. Treat people as you would want to be treated.”
