These words stated by real estate agent Carol Powers directly correlates to her love of the industry and her job; however, it is really the process of helping clients find the home of their dreams that is most interesting for her. Carol goes on to say that she prides herself on the connection she makes with her clients. “Through the process of truly getting to know someone, you are able to zero in on the little things that make a house a home. And this is different for every person. Determining the number of bedrooms and bathrooms a client wants is the easy part. Understanding what is important to living in the space is where I believe I can really help my clients and make a difference.”

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Carol moved to Boulder at the age of twelve and is no stranger to the Boulder Valley area. She even prides herself on knowing and understanding the local landscape since she has been a native for years. After high school, Carol attended the University of Colorado – Boulder where she earned a degree in Marketing & Real Estate. After graduation, Carol’s career took a winding turn away from real estate. However, as the years passed, she stayed in touch with a close friend from high school, Brian Mygatt. Early in 2019, Brian said that he and Kimberly Junior were looking to expand their team and thought her business experience and commitment to client service would be a perfect fit for a career in real estate. Carol realized her passion for the industry was still burning strong inside of her and decided to get her real estate license and join the Colorado Luxury Group team at Coldwell Banker.

environment. Everyone collaborates really well together, and I have been able to learn from some of the best agents in the area. Carol strongly believes that success in this industry requires creativity, commitment, and truly knowing your clients. Her personal mission is to make people feel at ease with her and trust that they are in good hands.

During the pandemic, Carol saw how people’s meaning of a home really changed. A home became a school, office, gym, etc. She collaborated with her team on how to get creative to best serve her clients during this unprecedented year. In turn, she wanted her clients to absolutely feel at ease with their purchase and ensure that their home truly satisfies all their needs. Even though it was a difficult

year for many reasons, she was able to achieve the “2020 – Rookie of the Year” Award.

Carol attributes her personal success to a daily practice of gratitude, appreciation, and exercise. In her free time, she loves yoga, hiking, and skiing. “The ability to do this with my husband and two daughters is even more special!”
