I enjoy working with the students and connecting with them. I also have a connection to KHS, as I graduated from here. KHS feels like a family and I enjoy working with my peers. Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog.

- Brittany Cleveland, KHS Staff

I decided to come back to teach at my Alma Mater because of the opportunity to give back to what this school and community gave to me. As a former student, the teachers and staff I experienced at KISD were my biggest fans, even when I felt like I couldn't do it they pushed me to exceed my own expectations. I get to do this now and it’s a dream come true.

1.Maintenance & Operations (M&O) –Covers daily expenses like teacher salaries, utilities, and student programs. Funded through property taxes and state aid, with voterapproved tax rate increases (VATRE) possible.

2 Debt Service (Interest & Sinking, or I&S) – Pays for school construction and renovations through voterapproved bonds. These funds cannot be used for salaries or operating costs.
