Founded in 1974 by three Georgia college students, the brand has subversively spread its counterculture brand to a family of stores over 100 strong spanning fifteen states. The core philosophy of the founders has helped maintain its unique culture and environment as it has organically grown, and now the company stands poised for a new level of success.

Old Parr Scotch Whisky In the waning moments of 2010, the nice people at Diageo, the world’s largest producer of spirits, enlisted Markham Unlimited to handle the branding for the Grand Old Parr Scotch Whisky in Latin & South America. We earned the assignment by besting two vastly larger agencies, and despite the obvious disadvantage of our not exactly being a Latin American agency. The Grand Old Parr is one of Diageo’s oldest and most venerable brands, having been in distribution in various parts of the world since 1919. Despite commanding a large and enthusiastic following in certain areas of Latin America, its brand identity remains virtually non-existent. After winning the account, we partnered with Diageo to create, test and tweak two campaigns for Old Parr: one for markets in which the brand was virtually unknown, and one for markets where the brand was already well established, yet still not well understood.

Hell’s Bay Boatworks We do our very best work for the things that we are passionate about.

One of the things we are most passionate about is shallow water, light tackle angling. It’s what we think about when we should be doing something else.

And so when we got a call from Hell’s Bay Boatworks, we were understandably excited. After all, Hell’s Bay makes the world’s finest shallow water skiffs. They are the Rolls Royce, the Cadillac, the Champagne of Skiffs.

We saw an opportunity to communicate a deeper emotional connection with their core audience - to communicate a point of view, those share values, the things we all agree on and believe in.

And so we’ve been creating a vast body of work to illuminate the fact that they do more than build boats.

They build experiences. They insist on excellence, they don’t tolerate compromise, and hold themselves to the highest standards - And in doing so, they have created a tribe of like-minded sportsmen and women who own and enjoy them.

Rolling Billboards The vehicles in the Hell’s Bay fleet work harder than most- serving the trucking and hauling needs of the team, as well as serving as backdrops , makeshift tradeshow booths, mobile storage units, changing rooms, campers, demo stages and billboards. We designed and wrapped these trucks in collaboration with the Hell’s Bay team this summer.

Helena Linares, owner of Razzledazzle, knows a thing or two about how to make folks look good. So it’s no surprise that when she decided to expand her barbershop concept, she came to Markham Unlimited.

A throwback to the golden age of the tonsorial arts, Razzledazzle serves up haircuts, shaves and shoeshines in an atmosphere that’s a cross between New Orleans and prohibition-era New York. Our job was not so much to define the concept, but explain it quickly and memorably in a series of print ads, posters, radio commercials and promotional materials.

Informed Families Informed Families/The Florida Family Partnership is a public-private organization based in MIami, with a state-wide network of offices focused on issues involving families, children and prevention. Based on our proven record of creating successful cause-marketing movements, we teamed up with them in the summer of 2013 to begin building communications aimed at building a greater level of engagement with their quarterly programs.

Family Day 2013: The goal for Family day is to encourage families to eat dinner together 4+ times a week, as children who do so are half as likely to abuse drugs or alcohol.

We created a video game reminiscent of the old 32-bit cartridge games in order to illuminate the barriers kids face in getting to the dinner table. This was integrated into their digital media, contests, and social media outreach efforts, and they achieved historically superior participation numbers thanks in part to this campaign.

iDesigns Opticians, an optical boutique on Coral Gables trendy Miracle Mile, needed a way to highlight its over-the-top selection of super high end designer eyeglasses. So we at Markham Unlimited created a series of equally over-the-top high end posters and print ads. The orientation of these posters in front of the store allows passers-by to pose underneath the headlines, thus rendering themselves the real-life “subject� of the captions.

Trout Unlimited Trout Unlimited is a 140,000 member non-profit dedicated to the

conservation of freshwater streams, rivers, and habitat for trout, salmon and other aquatic species. Established in 1959, Trout Unlimited asked us to help them both raise awareness and contemporize their image with 20-something aged anglers through a series of print ads.

Pleased with the results of that effort, Trout Unlimited then commissioned Markham Unlimited to create an entire brand identity, and website design, for troutunlimited.com, a multimedia website slated to launch later this year.

Nextlife was founded on the concept of Closed Loop Sustainability - that is, products that go from manufacturing, to the market, through recycling, and are remanufactured from the original base materials. Case in point- a program they have in place with Publix grocery stores, where they recycle used plastic shopping bags and use the material to manufacture shopping carts and baskets (as well as recycling bins). Working with them since the inception of their company, we have done everything from logo and product design to the web and marketing materials.

Vitals.com is a unique site where patients get to learn about the physicians they might visit through patient reviews, as well as comprehensive information about their practice areas, education, awards, associations and hospitals.

We have been working with them from their inception on everything from brand positioning, to web design to widget applications for third party sites such as Yahoo and CNN.

Gathering so much data, Vitals decided to publish qualitative data about the physicians it has reviewed. We worked with them to establish a series of awards, for subject areas such as “Patient’s Choice” for the best reviewed physicians, to “Leading Experts” for those who are the most prolific or awarded specialists in certain fields.

Popcorn, Indiana From small places come big dreams. There’s a real town in southwestern Indiana called Popcorn, and the spirit of that humble Midwestern town is in every bag of fresh, delicious Popcorn Indiana Kettlecorn. Brought to life by the same team as Dale and Thomas, We participated in the early brand architecture, as well as package design, website design and functionality, and wholesale brand extensions, including shelf impact and POS design. Look for it in your local grocery store or big box retailer (Costco, and the like).

The founders of Dale & Thomas Popcorn, in their effort to take over the gourmet food world, decided that lemonade would be the perfect companion to their popcorn. So they contacted us to develop the brand from the ground up, and gave us two weeks to do it.
