December 2011 Issue

Ephesians 6:18 ‘...praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints’

Dear Saints, Welcome to the December edition of the Kidcare Prayer Letter. Firstly, I would like to thank you for taking the time out to pray with us. We apologise for not publishing this prayer letter for a while now… since July this year. Much has happened during this time to both pray about and thank God for which you will read in the following pages. God has assured us in His scriptures that ‘in everything by prayer and thanksgiving, we ought to let our requests be made known to Him, and His peace which passes all understanding will keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus’. Philippians 4:6 & 7. His peace is very much needed at this time with all that is happening in the world today. We remember this season, that Jesus the Prince of Peace came to reveal the nature of God. On behalf of the trustees of Kidcare, I pray a peaceful and blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year for you, your friends and families. Susie Djan, Director

KIDCARE UK Please Pray. We announce the passing away of our dearly beloved Kidcare Trustee Rosemary Crow on the 27th of November. Please pray for her husband Malcolm and the rest of her family that they will experience the comfort of the Holy Spirit at this time and feel God’s presence in their lives in a very real way. Rosemary battled with cancer for over 9 years. She is now a peace now with the Lord. Please Pray that God’s blessings will flow to all those who give and that God will bring others to support Kidcare. Pray for more fundraising and sponsorship opportunities from the general public and other funding bodies to open up to Kidcare. Please Pray for the success of the +Zone Kidcare children’s ministry as we seek to encourage parents to teach the children the word of God and have fun doing so. Pray for the new TeenSearch group and God’s wisdom and grace for their leader Laurie Gomez, our new +Zone Assistant Leader Kassandra Tomlin and all the hardworking Assistants. Please Pray Kidcare needs to raise an additional £2000 to see its children in Uganda to school next year February.

Thank God for a successful summer BBQ and fair. Although done in a small scale, it was fun and we were able to raise around £600.

‘We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren…’ 2 Thessalonians 1:3

Thank God. By the grace of God all our children are keeping well. In Orissa also we opened an orphanage with 16 children. They all came from deep poverty, most of them are pure orphan and few are semi orphans. Please Pray for all children in both homes in Kerala and Orissa. This year, they celebrated “Children’s Day” on September 25th. Most of the children do not know when their birthday is, so we celebrate all our children’s birthday on this day. That day various children’s programs were conducted and special feast were arranged. They really enjoyed this day. The years program was special because children who had lived in the home previously came and they testified that their life in the home changed them and some are working in multinational companies, some became pastors, some are doing higher studies, even some of our girls got married. Thank God for all the sponsors who helped them years before to get education and meet their needs. Surely what is being sowed in this fertile land will bring forth Harvest-‐ the Lord’s reward will be upon you. Please Pray We need more sponsors for these children. Sponsorship is £20 a month. Please Pray for the orphanage and Bible College:-‐ Instead of fire wood, we need gas stoves and we need to renovate the kitchen at the cost of £2300
