Saadara is a well-bred young mare by Champion sire Snitzel, out of the Red Ransom mare Sogha. She is a half-sister to Champion two-yearsold filly Mahbooba, a multiple Group winner in South Africa and the UAE, including victory in the Gr.1 South African Golden Slipper. Mahbooba has gone on to excel as a broodmare herself, producing two Gr.3 winners both by Dansili - Dubai Warrior and Mootasadiradding international depth and credibility to the pedigree.

While Saadara did not win during her racing career, it’s worth noting that many elite racehorses including Militarize, Celestial Legend, Kimochi, and Bella Nipotina - have come from mares who were themselves non-winners. The strength of the female line and the quality of matings often prove to be more important than race records alone.

As a broodmare, Saadara has produced two foals to date. She has a yearling by promising young sire Tagaloa, whose early runners are already making an impression. Among them is Stakes winner Spicy Lu, and the exciting recent winner and Gr.3-placed Salty Pearl. Tagaloa’s first crop of two-year-olds are in the stables of Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott, Chris Waller, Peter Moody & Katherine Coleman, and Ciaron Maher, with his second-crop yearlings outselling his first, with prices reaching up to $270,000 this year.

Saadara was covered again by Tagaloa in 2024. With four first-crop Stakes performers, Tagaloa looks set to build on this early momentum heading into the spring and this resultant foal could carry significant commercial appeal going forward.

She hails from a strong black-type family, descending from multiple Stakes-winning mare Pasar Silbano (Elnadim), dam of Zousain — winner of the Gr.2 Champagne Classic and runner-up in several Gr.1 races including the Gr.1 Golden Rose Stakes and Gr.1 Coolmore Stud Stakes.

Newzou was a winner herself at 1400m and was covered in her first season at stud by young sire Diatonic, a multiple Groupwinning Japanese sprinter-miler by Lord Kanaloa. Known for his brilliance, toughness, and versatility, Diatonic earned over $5.2 million on the track. He boasts a powerful pedigree, descending from the direct female line of Halo and Northern Dancer - two of the most influential bloodlines in modern breeding.

Diatonic covered a stellar book of mares in his debut season at stud, including elite race mares Snapdancer, In Her Time, and Melody Belle, and first weanlings have already received strong early reviews from breeders, with his first crop due to be presented at the 2026 yearling sales.

Description

November is a New Zealand-bred mare by Tavistock out of the Zabeel mare Tuesday’s Child. She descends from one of the most influential families of the Australian breeding history. Her granddam is none other than the legendary broodmare Dancing Show (USA), whose first foal was the multiple Gr.1 winner and sire Hurricane Sky. She went on to establish herself as one of the most influential broodmares, most notably through her daughters who have become exceptional producers in their own right -most notably Shantha’s Choice, the dam of several exceptional racehorses including Manhattan Rain, Platinum Scissors, and the outstanding sire Redoute’s Choice.

These are just a few of the many outstanding individuals from this remarkable lineage, which continues to leave a lasting impact on Australasian breeding.

November was a winner over 1350m and has since been supported by some of Yulong’s exciting stallions as a broodmare. Her progeny includes a two-year-old filly by Champion Sire Written Tycoon, and a yearling colt by dual Gr.1-winning miler Grunt.

In 2024, November was covered by promising young sire Tagaloa, whose early runners are already making an impression. Among them is the Stakes winner Spicy Lu, and the exciting recent winner and Gr.3placed Salty Pearl.
