Since Mrs、Ronnie Lunt of the Bakers「 Arms,Thorpe Langton,Painted FLY NAVY on her roof in honour of her son Tony,who is serving with the Falklands Task Force, she has been getting a lot of attention from the U.S. Airforce! 0n the day the cease~fire was announced some of their pilots put on an aerobatic displ1ay specially for Thorpe Langton,dipping their wings in salute as they 1ew over her Koof 。 Mrs Lunt has a magnum of champagne waiting for Tony「s return; she is keeping her fingers crossed until then,for 1ike other Task Force mothers she won!「t Telax until her son is home。 Tony , the captain of a submarine hunter-~killer Sea King helicopter in 826 squadron based on H.M.S。 Hermes,will1 no doubt be particular1y appreciative of the champagne,for he wrote recent1y that they had run out of beer - the marines drank it al1! has received five letters and two tapes ffom her son since he sailed in April,but he has been able to receive a deluge of encouraging mail from his family and ffiends , including a clipping from Apri1「 s Chronicle about Kibworth man Richard Hallowes,1eading airman on the f1ight deck of As a result he and Richard have got together and are planning a reunion drink at the Bakers Arms。 It「s a small worl1d,even in the South Atlantic,for a surVivor from the Atlantic Conyveyor ,winched up from a 1ife-raft by Tony「s heli~copter,turned out to be marfied to one of his ex-gir1friends!
