Seven teams, made up from members of church service ringers from the district, took part:、The Kibworth “A“ team won the competition , 乙 regain the trophy. The winning team included Harry Gearing,Beverley Mayne,Peter Mayne,Jim Wadkin,Terry I1iffe and Alan Behagg、Since the start of this, annual event in 1979, a Kibworth team has won the trophy outright 7 times and shared it once. For the second time, Kibworth fielded two teams.、The youngest (and shortest!1) ringer in the competition this year was 11 year old Robert White who rang for the Kibworth “B“ team. Due to the short ropes he was unable to ring until a suitable platform could be found. This consisted of two hassocks, one under each foot to enable Robert to reach his rope. The Kibworth bellringers are always keen to welcome new members, both learners and experienced ringers. If you are interested, contact Terry I1iffe on Kibworth 3410.
