Pulau Ketam, literally translated, means “crab island” is a small island located at the coast of Klang, Selangor and it is well known for its fishing activities, seafood, locals’ products and tourism activities.
The project is to develop possible design strategies that can be adopted to solve the issue facing (Economical & Environment) facing by Pulau Ketam while at the same time, preserve the unique elements that contribute to the sense of place to Pulau Ketam for future.
The design concept “Living Community Path” takes inspiration from the existing pedestrian path culture of Pulau Ketam, and the innovative use of waste materials as building materials. The design seeks to create a sustainable and resilient community by repurposing waste materials to enhance the pathway experience and create new spaces for the community.

The goal of the landscape design is aim to restore the polluted environment at Pulau Ketam, and maintaining landscapes by considers the ecology of a site and creates landscape that enhance the surrounding environment for the benefit of the community and all other life in the ecosystem of Pulau Ketam.
Mangroves play a vital role in filtering and purifying water. Their extensive root systems and dense vegetation can effectively trap sediment, organic matter, and pollutants, preventing them from reaching the surrounding waters. By strategically locating mangrove plantations in areas where water pollution is a concern, the design can help mitigate the negative impacts and contribute to the overall improvement of water quality.

The aim of this project is to design housing for transient Millenial to facilitate their changing lifestyles and bring in young community into the Pudu Urban Revitalization process.
Shared living space (Co-living) are on the rise as Millennnials today seek more of a sociable and active lifestyle where young people have less money to spend and have different priorities to suit their lifestyle. Inspire from the traditional Iban House layout where the residents share their common spaces in a same building, the idea is then developed, transform into interconnected loop of sharing community space.

PUDU MIXED DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL

Pudu are facing the serious issue of Lack of Community Sense which leading to a higher crime rate within the area. Secondly, being the spatial extension of society and city itself, most of the space in the urban area are fill with commercial and residential building which causes the Lack of Public Realm within Pudu area.
The main aim of the Co-cinema is to create a new conception space at Pudu, that need to become a Symbol of everyone and at the same time A Place for everyone. The project emphasizes on the seperation edges at Jalan Davis between the old District and New District in Pudu, and creates a connection by celebrating the axis between the Indian Temple and TRX tower. The project consist of two different district, first if the old district design to blend in with the surrounding context, while the new district design to contrast with the surrounding context.
