Villanova Wins National Championship By: Mia Farrell/kk Villanova swept Michigan on Monday night in the NCAA National Championship. The final score was 79-62. Donte DiVincenzo dropped 31 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist in 37 minutes. Villanova had a nearly perfect season and finished it off winning their second title in three years. Like it did this entire tournament, and really the whole season, Villanova smashed the ever-popular narrative that the one-and-done phenomenon had thrown college basketball into an era of parity where more teams than ever had the chance to win a national championship. At some point this season, Villanova didn’t seem like a team that would be vulnerable to the typical NCAA tournament randomness because, to be blunt, they were just so much better than everyone else. For the last several years, everyone in college basketball has been flailing around, searching for the formula that leads to success in an era where recruiting the most talented player’s means the roster will turn over year after year. Lately, those teams have struggled to achieve greatness in the postseason, and programs with fewer NBA prospects but more continuity have generally risen above them. After Villanova’s lost its first game on December 30th, Jalen Brunson went 15 for 22 to win the next game. Even when Villanova wasn’t playing its best it still made other teams do something special to earn the win. Donte DiVincenzo's 31 points were the most ever for a non-starter in a championship game and the first 30-point performance in a title game in 21 years. Jalen Brunson is the frontrunner for the Player of the Year award. Jay Wright has turned his program into more than a Big East contender -but a national power that has proven it is here to stay. The Wildcats overcame a 7-point first half deficit to bury the Wolverines, building a lead that ballooned to as many as 22 in the closing minutes to comfortably cut down the nets in the Alamo City. DiVincenzo was named the Final Four's Most Outstanding Player after the game and named to the All-Tournament team, too, after more than doubling his season point’s average in the biggest game of Villanova's season. DiVincenzo was outlandish from outside. He found hotness again in the second half, and it was because of him that Michigan's spirit was broken. The game was effectively over with more than eight minutes remaining.

Boomerang Review

UFC Fighter Goes Wild

By Maximillian Rayner/cr

By Kolby Gilbert/cr

Since Boomerang Café opened, I have been there a couple times, and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was very good, but it was also different. There was no waiters or waitresses assigned to any specified tables, which was helpful, but also kind of confusing. It helped when it came to making sure everyone had their orders and refills, but it also created confusion on having multiple people having different tickets for you. That is really the only complaint I have about the café, the food was excellent and all the waitresses and waiters were nice and helpful. I have tried there loaded fries, fried mushrooms, fried okra, burger, and chicken which were all fantastic and fresh. Personally, I thought their portions of food were perfect and their deserts were also pretty good, but I also thought they were not necessary after the meal. Overall, I enjoyed all the times I went, and would highly suggest going to the Boomerang Café if you have not already and give it a try, I also heard their fish was very good, but I have not tried it. I hope you enjoy the food as much as I did.

On April 5th, Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter, Conor McGregor, reportedly attacked a bus filled with other UFC fighters. McGregor is a mixed martial artist who is known his antics. McGregor was charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief after video of him and a group of people attacking a bus filled of UFC fighters. Conor McGregor went to the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York, and proceeded to throw trash cans at the bus. McGregor was tried to throw a guardrail at the bus but was stopped. The New York Police Department says McGregor threw a hand truck at the bus, injuring an individual on the bus. Video was released from both outside the bus and inside. The footage shows McGregor’s awful actions and shows multiple things being thrown at the windows of the bus. No warrant was put out for his arrest, but the NYPD was looking for him to get more information about the incident. What McGregor did was and is complete insanity and disgusting. Conor McGregor turned himself into the NYPD the night of April 5th. Updates will be released when more information is found out about these maniacal actions by the famed UFC fighter.

My Top Anime boys By: Reygan Martin

Did you know that teenage boys (age 12-17) tend to earn less weekly than same-aged girls, but save more per A Proud Supporter of Kingfisher High School

Starting at number one ‘Inuyasha’ I think Inuyasha is cute not only because of his ears but because he is a demon samurai, too bad kagome got to be with him, I mean why can’t she be with koga!? Number two ‘Danganronpa’ there are a lot of guys I like from this anime but my favorite (in a recent article) Komeada Nagito because he may be crazy but he is a precious little cinnamon roll, he was driven to insanity from the trials on Monokumas island. Number three ‘Naruto Shippunden’ Kankuro… I have detached myself from Gaara to his older brother, who is a puppet master, he has a puppet he calls cricket and I think he turned Sasori into one of his own puppets. Number four ‘Blue exorcist’ this anime is about demons too but my favorite demon is Mephisto pheles he can turn into a small dog and it’s the cutest thing ever! Number five ‘blood lad’ now this one is about hydras, vampires, and werewolves, right up my alley! My favorite boy in this anime is called Braz D Blood and he is bent on over throwing the demon king, but he is pretty impressive, I’m sure he’ll over throw the king some day! Well there you have it my top five favorite animes and anime boys, I could go on and on but that would take forever!

Top 10 Home Defense Guns Overwatch Retribution By Colby Harms

By Tyler Roman/jh

Number ten, Taurus Judge/Smith & Wesson Governor. It’s chambered in .410 bore and .45 colts. It has a 5, 6, 7 round cylinder

Many people may remember the Overwatch Uprising event that took place last year. In place of Overwatch Uprising this year Blizzard will have Overwatch Retribution. Unlike last year Overwatch Number eight, Smith & Wesson M&P shield. It weighs 19 ounc- Retribution will center on Blackwatch fighting Talon. In the limited time event you will play as McCree, Moira, Genji and Reaper as they es. infiltrate a Talon base and face hordes of enemies. Blackwatch is infilNumber seven, Glock 19, in the 1980's the glock was introduced trating the base to take out a high ranking Talon member who is beto the America with a polymer frame. hind a bombing that killed many innocent people at one of OverNumber six, Remington 870, Remington has sold about 11 million watch’s base. since the 1951. Number nine, Colt Expanse M4. The original AR design was introduced to the world By Eugene Stoner.

Number five, Colt 1911. The Colt 1911 is the most complimented gun of all time. Number four, Ruger LCP, this gun is lightweight it only weights 10 ounces and is measures just at 5.16 inches. Number three, Mossberg 500. this shotgun was adopted by law enforcement agencies quickly because it was affordable, reliable and offered plenty of stopping power. Number two, Winchester SXP Defender, this gun has a six round slide action with an 18 inch barrel and it only cost $450.

The PvE event will include a completely new map which which will even be playable in multiplayer mode. In addition Blizzard has said that they will be including the Overwatch Uprising event from last year for those who were not able to play it. Along with the event comes 60 new cosmetic items. Moira even has a new legendary Blackwatch skin. It seems that this year Blizzard is learning from the community and has realized that we love PvE events. So far it seems that they put a lot of effort into Overwatch Retribution unlike Junkenstein’s revenge.

Sadly I do not think we will be getting any information on Number one, Remington Versa Max Tactical. It’s a gas action gun what is happening currently happening in the Overwatch universe. As that been simplified and therefore made more reliable via Remingfar as I know it seems Blizzard is going to keep giving pieces of the ton’s Versa Port system that self regulates depending on the length past rather that the present. of the shell.

PUBG Mobile Review Opinion by: Ronnie Porter/jh While I’m not a mobile gaming enthusiast, I do know my way around good and bad gaming. Mobile games are usually like arcade game and have cartoony graphics, but this game excellent the scale of mobile games. When I had an Xbox, I owned PUBG, or Player unknown’s Battlegrounds. I’m sure many of you know that I love Fortnite, but in all honesty, PUBG came out before Fortnite. PUBG is a 1 v 99 battle royale game where you jump out of a plane, drop on a deserted island, loot buildings, and try to survive as the last survivor. You can play by yourself, with two people, or with a full 4 man squad. Unlike Fortnite, there is no building, but the map is so massive that you have to have a car to make it to the circle. Speaking of circles, the circle is a wall where if you are outside it, you slowly take damage. Like previously stated, most mobile games are goofy or have bad controls, but this one is different. It is extremely easy to navigate in PUBG Mobile, and the game is very easy to pick up. The buttons don’t block anything on the screen, so you can see perfectly. Overall, I give the game a 5 out of 5 for its excellent execution of bringing Battle Royale to Mobile.

Board of Education Report April 2, 2018 The Kingfisher Board of Education met in regular session at 7PM on Monday, April 2, 2018 in the Board of Education Building with all members present. Outgoing President David Diesselhorst called the meeting to order and asked Superintendent of Schools Jason Sternberger for Honors and Recognitions. Mr. Sternberger introduced Joey Little and Alex Wilczek representing the KHS Photography program which he praised for their recent success at the Oklahoma Camera Club Youth Photo Contest. Little and Wilczek thanked the Board for their continuous support and presented each member with a collage of the winning photos and explained that many of the photos had also been selected for the National Competition. Mr. Sternberger also praised members of the FFA for their many recent accomplishments which, he noted, was nothing unusual for Kingfisher’s truly outstanding program.

After approving previous minutes, the Board heard Supt. Sternberger discuss current finances. All funds, he said, are in very good condition although there has been a decrease in the Gross Production Tax money. He added that the recent raise for staff approved by the legislature would cost about $1 million for the district to be offset by state funding. He added at the current rate and with planned spending, the district should finish the school year with about $2 million in the bank. The Board approved two out of state trips for the FFA and accepted the resignation for retirement of Athletic Director Craig Patterson. The Board and Supt. Sternberger praised Mr. Patterson for his devotion to the district and long years of service to its students. Mr. Sternberger then discussed some of the summer projects with the Board including many paving projects as well as replacing carpet in several classrooms and offices. Work would begin soon on the Gilmour office to make it more secure and some work will be done around the FFA barn. The Heritage roof is nearly done and the auditorium there will soon have new seating. With no new business, the Board adjourned at 724.

Track Results in Top Fin- Deleting Tilted Towers Opinion by: Ronnie Porter/sj ishes Submitted by Coach Nall The Watonga High School Invitational Track Meet was held on April 5th, 2018. At the end of the meet, the boys team came in 4th in points, with the girls team taking 5th. Placing in the top positions were Madeline Loosen (2nd) Reece Lafferty (1st) in the 800 meter run, Colton York (2nd) in the 100 meter dash, Madeline Loosen (2nd) and Bryce Carrington (3rd) in the 400 meter dash, Madeline Loosen (2nd) in 1600 meter run, Colton York (3rd) in the Long Jump, Rayna Patton (3rd) in the Discus Throw and second in the Shot Putt. In the 4x800 meter relay, the girls team took third place, while the boys finished 5th. McCall Sinclair pole vaulted a personal best of 9' 6" to tie for third. The KHS track teams competed at Woodward on March 23 and Choctaw on the 29th.

Fortnite Vending Machines Opinion by: Ronnie Porter/jh Recently, there was a new Fortnite update that added the new game mode High Explosives V2 and brand new feature. Around the map, you can find various vending machines. There is a blue, purple, and gold vending machine. Each vending machine holds different items. The blue vending machine holds rare items, the purple one holds epic items, and the last one holds legendary items. You have to pay to receive some items. The blue items cost 300 materials, the purple costs 400 materials, and the gold costs 500 materials. Some people see this new vending machine as too overpowered, since you can use 500 wood to get a gold scar, a weapon that most people see as the best gun in the game. I see it as a very innovative way to get rid of extra materials. In most of my games, after about 7-10 minutes, I already have a full stack of wood that I collect from trees and other people. I don’t need a whole stack, and so I can use these extra builds to be prepared with weapons for my next battle. The weapons you grab also come with enough ammo to keep yourself ready. Overall, I love the new addition, and I’m excited to put them to use.

This is 100 percent real. There are clues and rumors pointing to Epic Games deleting Tilted Towers. This is a speculation that has been around for some time, going from just a wish from the players all the way to decrypted messages in the game. When playing, you will feel various vibrations in your remote. While falling, in day, in night, and in the storm is all when you can feel these weird vibrations. When you put these in order and decrypt it in Morse code, you get SOS and the coordinates of Tilted Towers on the map. Another clue hinting to this is that when you look at the telescopes, they point to a black hole in the sky with a meteor in it. Everyone is speculating that this meteorite will destroy tilted. While this information was figured out the day before April Fools, I feel like this could be true. Many places, like Haunted Hills and Snobby Shores, are very good for loot, yet they get no attention. When you drop at Tilted Towers, however, it seems like half of the players go there. This could be the main reason why Tilted may be removed.
