2015 Registration and Class Information
PTA Enrichment Class registration will be online for the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall Sessions. If you haven’t registered online for an enrichment before and plan to sign your child up for classes for 2015, you’ll want to do so Instructions are included below. There are two main steps in the registration process—creating an account and registering/paying for classes. Here’s how it works:
1. The first time you go in the registration site, you will need to create an account. You will only need to do this once and the information will be saved for future enrichment registration sessions. (email help@kssprograms.com for help with your password if you forget it.) When you create an account, you will provide basic contact information for yourself and then add your child/children to it. There will be a space to indicate your classroom teacher and grade. This will help you get through the process quickly once classes become available. You can set up your account at any time from here on out by going to KSS Programs.
2. Registration for all classes will open. We expect some classes to fill up quickly based on the unique offerings, so you are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Please do not make special requests for classes after the fact as the time in between registration and classes is needed to create-ate and deliver the class rosters for teachers, vendors, extended day and the front office.
3. Once registration opens, you will go to the same link: KSS Programs. Click the register online tab You will log in with the account you previously set up, select the registration button and then select classes you wish to register your child for based on availability Note that only those classes the student may take (based on the grade you input in for them in your account) will show up as options. Note that only those classes the student may take (based on the grade you input in for them in your account) will show up as options. The site will indicate if spaces are available for classes or if they are already filled up If filled, you will have the option to be placed on a wait list. If you have a second child who you are en-rolling, the classes for the first child will be held (i.e., the spaces in the class) while you are choosing classes for your second child.
4. After picking the classes, you will electronically sign a consent form. The consent form includes the following reminders about responsibilities:
Ÿ It is up to the PARENT to remind the child each week to go to his/her class.
Ÿ Extended Day students must report to Extended Day before going to any Enrichment class.
Ÿ Children being picked up from class MUST be picked up on time, at the place where the class meets. Teachers will not be responsible for your child if you are late. If late more than once, student may be dropped from the class.
Ÿ Once your child is signed up, if you wish to withdraw from a class, the KSS Programs is not obligated to refund your money. Requests for refunds will be considered on an individual basis.
Ÿ Students are expected to follow all usual school rules regarding behavior.
Ÿ Disruptive students may be asked to withdraw from a program at the discretion of KSS Programs (in which case a refund will not be given).
5. You will then proceed to checkout, where you will confirm the classes and determine your method of payment.
6. Payment options include credit card. You may register by check. Fill out the registration form. Mail to KSS PROGRAMS, P.O. Box 16211, Alexandria, VA 22302 or leave in the SCHOOL PTA Box in the main office. Tell office staff this is for after school activities. We encourage you to register online.
2. emergency form and enrichment program release:
For the 2015 School year, PTA enrichment requires only one waiver for each student for the academic year. Even if your child is in a class with online registration, you must fill out an Emergency Form and Enrichment Program Release. All participants must have this on file in the office, but once the form is in place, you will only need to check the box indicating your submission on the registration form for classes each term.
3. payment
Make checks payable to KSS Programs. Please include the student’s first and last name and the name of the class on the check. Only one check is required for each child, each term. Please indicate on the registration form which classes are being paid for, and the total.

Registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received. Classes will be closed once they reach the maximum number of students. Your payment will be returned to school if a class is full.
4. confirmation
Confirmations will be sent out the weekend be-fore the start of class via email only. We need your email address to send confirmation that your child is (or is not) enrolled in a particular class.
If you have a junk filter, please check your junk mail to see if your confirmation is there. If you don’t have email, we will use your home phone number to contact you. Once your child is confirmed, please write down the start dates, dates with no class (i.e.,holidays), and start and dismissal times of your child’s class.
