SERITI

By Tatenda Sipula

STORY BOARD

The collection is called SERITI, a word which originates from the Basotho clan in South Africa, which F O Rd A i rW e cEt lSyO tM r aEn s l a t e s t o d i g n i t y . This being my first complete women's collection, I wanted to give it great depth and meaning. I therefore chose to name it SERITI. As a Tailor, I am more used to bringing out a masculine look and feel in garments. To capitalize on this strength, I have blended that expertise with a touch of femininity to elaborate on the woman SERITI was created for. This is a woman who is bold, daring and fearless, (qualities typically associated with masculinity), and yet humble and caring, More often than not, we forget to thank or honour this woman, which is why this collection honors and gives her SERITY (dignity)
