A Message from the Executive Principal A very warm welcome back to Term 2 for all our students and parents! I hope that you all enjoyed a fantastic Winter Break and that the first two weeks of school have been smooth. As always, life at KGIS has been vibrant, busy and varied with two parent engagement events taking place - our KG Open Day and our Primary to Secondary Transition Information Evening. As we think about transitions and the next steps in the educational journey for our children, I am very pleased to inform you that we are launching our first ever KGIS Mother & Toddler Group on Wednesday 7 February at 1:30pm! This is a free of charge opportunity for parents and members of the wider community with young children aged 6 months to 3 years to come into school for an hour of fun educational activities led by our amazing KG Team. We will shortly be sending details of how to sign up for these sessions which will be held every two weeks. Well done to our oldest students in Grades 11 and 12 who have been sitting public examinations over the last two weeks! One question that parents often ask us is how they can help their children prepare better and support their learning at home. We are often asked if children have text books and the answer is yes! All children from Grades 1 to 8 have textbooks for English, Maths, Science and Arabic core subjects. These are in the form of digital textbooks which promote sustainability, and are identical to the paper copy books. In the upper grades students have hard copies of the textbooks for the subjects they are taking. Mr. Ian kindly recorded a video for Primary parents with children in Grades 1 to 5 to show how to access the digital textbooks at home.
