THE KNOWLEDGE PARENT NEWSLETTER 16 NOVEMBER 2023

A Message from the Executive Principal Our Universal Islamic Value of the Month is ‘Support’, and never has this been more evident within our KGIS community than this week as we promoted Anti-Bullying Week with all our students. As a close knit and inclusive community, it is more important than ever that our students learn to support each other, to be proud of their individuality, to be tolerant of others, and to celebrate the diversity that exists within the school and the community here in Oman. We want our students to grow into internationally-minded young adults - global citizens who can and will make a difference in the world. As a community we also continue to demonstrate our support of those less fortunate than ourselves through our ‘Year of Giving’ initiatives. This year, we have already done a fantastic job of raising money to support needy families and sick children in the local community, to support the victims of the war in Palestine, and to support our mosquebuilding project in Senegal. We look forward next week to our Night Market on Monday and Tuesday from 5:00pm, where we hope to raise even more money to donate to the above charitable causes. We also have the chance to reflect this weekend on how lucky we are to live in the beautiful country of Oman as we mark the 53rd Oman National Day. How fortunate we are to live in a safe and happy environment, where people of all nationalities are welcomed, and where we have access to quality healthcare, sanitation and education. Wishing you all a restful weekend! Ms. Liz Stanley Executive Principal
