THE KNOWLEDGE PARENT NEWSLETTER 9 NOVEMBER 2023

A Message from the Executive Principal Dear parents and carers What a fantastically exciting and vibrant week this has been at KGIS as we celebrated Science Week! Each grade had the opportunity to experience the wonder of Science as we took our learning beyond the usual classroom walls to allow students to see and interact first-hand with Science in action. We hope that the week fostered a greater sense of curiosity in the world around us and look forward to seeing this reflected in Science learning as we move through the rest of the academic year. Thank you to Ms. Kerrie (Primary Science Coordinator), Mr. Ali (Head of Science) and their teams for working hard to prepare such an engaging and exciting programme of activities. We also continue our KGIS Year of Giving and it is fantastic to see our senior students and Student Council members taking the lead this week as they organised a bake sale in aid of charitable causes. Well done to the students for being such proactive global citizens and for acting as excellent role models for our younger students as they demonstrate our Universal Islamic Values in action. Next week we look forward to the events planned by our Pastoral Team as we celebrate Anti-Bullying Week. I always look forward to the annual ‘Odd Socks Day’ in particular and enjoy seeing the range of outrageously coloured and patterned socks worn by our students and staff as we celebrate individuality, inclusion and the diversity within our school community. Ms. Liz Stanley Executive Principal
