THE KNOWLEDGE PARENT NEWSLETTER 2 NOVEMBER 2023

A Message from the Executive Principal Dear parents and carers I hope that you and your families enjoyed a restful mid-term break together. We are full steam ahead this week as students get straight back to their studies! A reminder to all parents that all Primary and Secondary students now have access to their digital textbooks for the core subjects of English, Maths and Science as well as the hard copy text books for Arabic subjects. Our senior students in IGCSE, A Level and GED classes have access to digital and hard copy text books for their chosen subjects. The move towards the use of digital rather than paper copy text books supports our school Sustainability drive. This academic year we have committed to rolling out our action plan in order to make our school more environmentally friendly, and to educate students about the importance of sustainability and their responsibility in this. From the start of October, we have reduced the amount of paper usage by making better use of devices, and in one single month we used a staggering 35,000 less pieces of paper compared to the same month last year! In the month of November, we are focusing on reducing the use of paper and plastic disposable cups. As such we are reminding all students that they need to bring a re-usable water bottle to school each day. We are grateful for your support in reminding your children to bring this with them. Ms. Liz Stanley Executive Principal
