CNHUKLtdwarrantsthatyournew1996andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roaddieselenginewasdesigned,built,andequippedtoconformto applicableU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgencyregulationsforaperiodofuseoffiveyearsor3,000hoursofoperation,whicheveroccurs first.

Thenewmodelyear,classofdieselengine,andemissionapplicationdeterminationforyourengineareidentifiedontheemissioncontrol informationlabelaffixedtotheengine.Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatethenewequipmentissoldtothefirstretailpurchaser.

Anyemissioncontrolsystempartswhichareprovendefectiveduringnormalusewillberepairedorreplacedduringthewarrantyperiod.The warrantyrepairsandservicewillbeperformedbyanyauthorizedCNHdealeratthedealerísplaceofbusiness,withnochargeforpartsor labor(includingdiagnosis).

TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoardandCNHUKLTDarepleasedtoexplaintheemissioncontrolsystemwarrantyonyour engine.In California,new2004andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roadenginesfrom50to750HPmustbedesigned,builtandequippedtomeettheStateís stringentanti-smogstandards.CNHUKLTDmustwarranttheemissioncontrol systemonyour enginefortheperiodsoftimelistedbelow, providedtherehasbeennoabuse,neglectorimpropermaintenanceofyourengine.

Youremissioncontrolsystemincludespartssuchasthefuelinjection systemandtheairinduction system.

Whereawarrantableconditionexists,CNHUKLTDwillrepairyourheavy-dutyoff-roadengineatnocosttoyouincludingdiagnosis,parts andlabor.

ManufacturerísWarrantyCoverage:

The2004andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roadenginesarewarrantedfromtheoriginaldateofdeliveryforfiveyearsor3000hoursofoperation, whicheveroccursfirst.Ifanyemission-relatedpartonyourengineisdefective,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedbyCNHUKLTD.

OwnerísWarrantyResponsibilities:

• Astheheavy-dutyoff-roadengineowner,youareresponsiblefortheperformanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourownerís manual.CNHUKLTDrecommendsthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyourheavy-dutyoff-roadengine,butCNHUK LTDcannotdenywarrantysolelyforthelackofreceiptsorforyourfailuretoensuretheperformanceofallscheduledmaintenance.

• Astheheavy-dutyoff-roadengineowner,youshould,however,beawarethatCNHUKLTDmaydenyyouwarrantycoverageifyour heavy-dutyoff-roadengineoraparthasfailedduetoabuse,neglect,impropermaintenanceorunapprovedmodifications.

CNHUKLTDwarrantstotheultimatepurchaserandeachsubsequentpurchaserthattheengineisdesigned,built,andequippedsoasto conformwithallapplicableregulationsadoptedbytheAirResourcesBoard,andthatitisfreefromdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanship whichcausethefailureofawarrantedpart.

DIESELFUEL

1.Undernocircumstancesshouldgasoline, alcoholorblendedfuelsbeaddedtodieselfuel. Thesecombinationscancreateanincreasedfire orexplosivehazard.Inaclosedcontainersuch asafueltanktheseblendsaremoreexplosive thanpuregasoline.Donotusetheseblends.

2.Neverremovethefuelcaporrefuelwiththe enginerunningorhot.

• Tightenallconnectionsbeforestartingthe engineorpressurizinglines.

• Iffluidisinjectedintotheskinobtainmedical attentionimmediatelyorgangrenemayresult.

7.Donotmodifyoralterorpermitanyoneelseto modifyoralterthetractororanyofits componentsoranytractorfunctionwithoutfirst consultinganAuthorizedDealer.

8.Continuouslongtermcontactwithusedengine oilmaycauseskincancer.Avoidprolonged contactwithusedengineoil.Washskinpromptly withsoapandwater.

9.Keepequipmentcleanandproperlymaintained.

Soil,air,andwaterarevitalfactorsofagricultureand lifeingeneral.Whenlegislationdoesnotyetrulethe treatmentofsomeofthesubstanceswhichare requiredbyadvancedtechnology,commonsense shouldgoverntheuseanddisposalofproductsofa chemicalandpetrochemicalnature.

Thefollowingarerecommendationswhichmaybeof assistance:

• Becomeacquaintedwithandensurethatyou understandtherelativelegislationapplicableto yourcountry.

• Wherenolegislationexists,obtaininformation fromsuppliersofoils,filters,batteries,fuels, antifreeze,cleaningagents,etc.,withregardto theireffectonmanandnatureandhowtosafely store,useanddisposeofthesesubstances. Agriculturalconsultantswill,inmanycases,be abletohelpyouaswell.

HELPFULHINTS

1.Avoidfillingtanksusingcansorinappropriate pressurizedfueldeliverysystemswhichmay causeconsiderablespillage.

2.Ingeneral,avoidskincontactwithallfuels,oils, acids,solvents,etc.Mostofthemcontain substanceswhichmaybeharmfultoyourhealth.

3.Modernoilscontainadditives.Donotburn contaminatedfuelsandorwasteoilsinordinary heatingsystems.

4.Avoidspillagewhendrainingoffusedengine coolantmixtures,engine,gearboxandhydraulic oils,brakefluids,etc.Donotmixdrainedbrake fluidsorfuelswithlubricants.Storethemsafely untiltheycanbedisposedofinaproperwayto complywithlocallegislationandavailable resources.

5.Moderncoolantmixtures,i.e.antifreezeand otheradditives,shouldbereplacedeverytwo years.Theyshouldnotbeallowedtogetintothe soilbutshouldbecollectedanddisposedof safely.

6.Donotopentheair-conditioningsystemyourself. Itcontainsgaseswhichshouldnotbereleased intotheatmosphere.Yourdealerorair conditioningspecialisthasaspecialextractorfor thispurposeandwillhavetorechargethesystem properly.

7.Repairanyleaksordefectsintheenginecooling orhydraulicsystemimmediately.

8.Donotincreasethepressureinapressurized circuitasthismayleadtoacomponentfailure.

9.Protecthosesduringweldingaspenetrating weldsplattermayburnaholeorweakenthem, allowingthelossofoils,coolant,etc.
