The ECOSPEED booms are air-filled containment booms which expand instantly as they come off the reel during deployment, without the need of blowers, compressors, or other forms of external air-supply. Instead, air is sucked in through the flush-mounted breathers situated on the top of the boom, thereby
filling the floats with atmospheric air. The self-inflating system and absence of check valves make the ECOSPEED an exceptionally fast launching boom, with minimum personnel requirements.
ECOSPEED booms have excellent wave following characteristics
because of their high buoyancy, flexibility, and stability. Internal solid flotation foam gives the booms plenty of reserve buoyancy making them virtually impossible to sink in the case of damage.
The air breathers prevent water from entering the floatation chambers and eliminate the risk of damage associated with surface-mounted valves Moreover, each 25-metre section has drainage valves at both ends Water that might enter a damaged boom will automatically drain out when the boom is lifted
out of the sea with the boom reel, without the need for opening valves or removing caps
ECOSPEEED booms are made from high-frequency welded PU/PVC blended fabric, which is resistant to oil, salt, and UV light ECOSPEED booms are designed to provide
increased visibility in the dark The booms are bright yellow and have pockets for flashing, high-intensity LED marker lights every 25 metres in addition to generously sized welded-on reflectors on the entire circumference of the float every 5 metres
ECOSAFE booms are conventionally inflatable oil containment booms with easily replaceable internal buoyancy chambers. Cylindrical floats with short, independent buoyancy chambers give the boom excellent floating ability and particularly good wave following properties.

ECOSAFE booms are designed to be easy to deploy and give reliable operation with low personnel requirements. The proven design, low inflation pressure and high buoyancy to weight ratio make these booms an effective tool for oil containment, even in adverse
weather conditions. The booms are designed to remain in the water for long periods of time.
ECOSAFE booms are made from high frequency welded heavy PU/PVC blended fabric, being resistant to oil, salt, and UV light. ECOSAFE booms are designed to provide increased visibility in the dark. The booms are bright yellow and have pockets for flashing, high-intensity LED marker

The ECOMARINE boom is the most advanced offshore boom systems available today. The boom expands instantly during deployment, due to coils of highpressure air hoses taking a spiral shape as soon as the boom comes off the reel. As the boom expands, atmospheric air is drawn in through dedicated breather hoses, filling the floats with air. The ECOMARINE
boom’s inflation system reduces deployment and recovery times, as well as personnel requirements, to a minimum.
The ECOMARINE boom series has two independent air circuits for redundancy and has bulkheads dividing the continuous float into 5-metre chambers, allowing for a fully operational boom even
if one of the circuits should fail. The boom design also features a secondary high-flow back-up air system that is used to top up the boom’s chamber-air if necessary, enabling the boom to be deployed over long periods of time, even in rough conditions.
The fabric used to manufacture the ECOMARINE booms is highly resistant to oil, chemicals, all weather conditions, and UV light. This fabric is both strong and lightweight, giving rise to high quality booms, highly flexible and with excellent wave-following characteristics. All seams and unions are high frequency welded, maintaining the excellent mechanical properties of the membrane.
ECOMARINE booms are designed to be stored and operated with an ECOREEL
with turntable and integrated air delivery system to inflate the boom automatically while being deployed. The spiral hoses are pressurized while the boom is still on the reel and during deployment the spiral hoses expand the float as the boom leaves the reel, making the boom fully operational when it reaches the water. The only operating and storage space required on deck is the ECOREEL’s own footprint.
The ECOMARINE boom system is best
operated using the remote control of the ECOREEL from any position on board the vessel. A single operator can control boom inflation, deployment, and recovery with a full view of all movements.
A major advantage of this system is that it allows the boom to be deployed in rough conditions without the need for crew or other personnel being in direct contact with the equipment.
Rapid response fence booms
ECOFLEX Series booms are easy to handle high quality fence booms for use in harbours and coastal applications.

The NOFI Current Buster® technology is one of the world’s most efficient and advanced oil containment and recovery systems, capable of containing and controlling oil in up to 5 knots towing speed* without losing any of the contained oil.
The NOFI Current Buster® 2 / SW is based on the same proven Current Buster® technology designed specifically to meet the demands of operating in fast moving shallow waters. The draft of the Current Buster 2 / SW has been reduced to approximately one meter and the system can be separated into two parts to aid in overland and air transport to remote locations.
Recent trials on the Columbia, Flathead, Middlefork and Yukon River using the NOFI Current Buster® systems together with a BoomVane confirm the ease of operation and efficiency in challenging fast water environments in remote locations.
Other features:
• System divided into two parts. Functional only using the separator part with a sweep opening of 6m (System opening 15m).
• Bottom tension member, chain replaced by leaded Dynema.
• Floating sweep netting.
• Draft reduced to 1 m.
The NOFI Current Buster Technology, holding an international patent, represents a revolution within the oil spill containment systems available. Over the years, it has proven a unique ability to collect and concentrate spilled oil, even in current exposed waters and at high towing speeds. The enhanced features have resulted in the
highest recorded recovery efficiency by any available oil spill containment systems. The system is suitable for fjords, bays, coastal and offshore areas with currents up to 4 knots. At towing speeds between 4 and 4,4 knots (STW*), the NCB4 offers excellent area coverage and high maneuverability. The compact system can be easily turned and
towed quickly between oil slicks. It may be operated by one single vessel in combination with the paravane BoomVane. It is a plugand-play system that requires no vessel modification and a minimum of space on deck.
*speed through water
The New NOFI Current Buster 4 reflects years of continuous development and improvements of the globally recognized technology. Many advancements came after the Deepwater Horizon where 48 systems were used continuosly for over 100 days. This experience led to the development of the NOFI Current Buster 6. The new NOFI Current Buster 4 is currently the most up to date and efficient HighSpeed oil recovery system available worldwide.
What differentiates the NOFI Current Buster technology from other highspeed sweep systems, is the built-in separator. The system is designed to separate contained oil from water,
The process results in a thicker layer of oil, which in turn offers great advantages when pumping the collected oil onboard vessels or into storage tanks. As a result, the vessels storage tanks are filled with oil and not water increasing the overall oil recovery efficiency significantly.
Some of the new features:
• Improved hydrodynamic shape.
• Increased operational speed up to 4,4 knots.
• Larger oil-water separator and storage tank.
• Greater stability and improved performance in high wave conditions.
• Larger area coverage.
• Debris and wave dampeners
• Prepared for NorMar 3 IPS (Integrated Pump System)
• Double air valve configuration for deployment and recovery both ways.
• Quick drain system for recovery.
Despite the improvements, the system remains compact and requires little deck space. There was no change in the required storage space. This allows for the re-use of existing reels and other accessories.
The NOFI Current Buster® technology is one of the world’s most efficient and advanced oil containment and recovery systems, capable of containing and controlling oil in up to 5 knots towing speed* without losing any of the contained oil.

The NOFI BoomBag is specially designed for fast response with minimal requirements for boats and personnel. The boom is packed in a zigzag pattern inside the NOFI BoomBag. It is a standard NOFI EP series solid flotation boom, renowned in the market for reliability, ease of handling and ability to contain the oil.
The NOFI BoomBag may be stored on the quayside for immediate deployment. It may also be stored on a trailer for transportation on land or in a warehouse using forklift for transportation to the quay. In both cases the time required to mobilize the boom for towing is extremely short. Mobilization and towing out requires two people, and any available boat can be used.
Modular skimmers with interchangeable cartridges
MARKLEEN MULTISKIMMERS are compact, lightweight units used for recovering all types of oil. Diesel oil, grease and emulsions are quickly and efficiently recovered with a minimum of water content. All components used in MARKLEEN MULTISKIMMERS MultiSkimmers are robust and water and oil resistant.
Depending on the viscosity of the substance to be recovered, standard rotating brush MARKLEEN MULTISKIMMERS may be converted to drum or disc skimmers in just a few minutes and without the use of tools. Thus MARKLEEN MULTISKIMMERS offer the advantages of having three skimmers in one.
Multi Skimmers operate based on the well proven oleophilic (oil attracting) properties of some materials and recover light oils through to heavy crude.
The rotating module powered by a hydraulic or pneumatic motor creates a current which draws the substance to be recovered towards the skimmer. The oil sticks firmly to the chosen module which is made of oil attracting and water repelling material. It then reaches the comb or scraper where it is separated and poured into an intermediate tank in the skimmer head. Due to the hydrophobic (water repelling) effect of the module, the water drains down before reaching the scraper. A transfer pump, totally integrated into the MultiSkimmer, except on the MS 10, then transfers the oil to an external tank.
• Three skimmers in one: Different modules (brush, disc or drum) can be changed in minutesno tools needed.
• Versatile: Covers wide range of viscosities.
• Highly efficient: Recovered oil contains only 2 to 8% water.
• Transportable: The MS 10 can be easily carried by one person. All models feature handles and lifting points.
• Modular: All components can be easily dismantled for transport or maintenance.
• Long working life: Rugged corrosion resistant build. Made of marine grade aluminium and stainless steel. Shallow draft: May be used in shallow water
Markleen Multiskimmers are lightweight skimmers used for recovering all types of oil that may be operated with 3 different types of cartridges. Light oils through to heavy crude are efficiently recovered with a minimum of water content.
Depending on the viscosity of the substance to be recovered, standard brush Markleen Multiskimmers may be converted to drum or disc skimmers by changing the cartridge in just a few minutes and without the use of tools. Thus they offer the advantages of having three skimmers in one. Markleen Multiskimmers are mainly made of marine aluminum, and stainless steel, therefore they are corrosion resistant.
The rotating cartridge, powered by a hydraulic or pneumatic motor, creates a current which draws the substance to be recovered towards the skimmer. The oil sticks firmly to the chosen cartridge which is made of oil attracting and water repelling material. The oil then reaches the scraper where it is separated and poured into an intermediate tank in the skimmer head. Due to the hydrophobic effect of the cartridge, the water drains down before reaching the scraper. Markleen Multiskimmers are designed to be connected to an external pump to transfer the recovered oil to an external tank.
MARKLEEN reserves the right to change such data without prior notice in accordance with its process of continuous improvement. * Recovery capacity depends on the selected pump.

Markleen MWS skimmers are high performance weir skimmers for harbour, coastal or offshore oil spills. These skimmers handle all types of hydrocarbons, from light diesel to heavy crude oil. All models are suitable for advancing and stationary skimming operations.
Markleen MWS skimmers feature a well proven self-adjusting flow-controlled inlet weir, with automatic parallel weir lip movement to water surface. The weir working depth is controlled by the pump flow rate, and determines the quantity of water in the recovered product.
The skimmer incorporates two heavy duty submersible Archimedes Twin Disc Screw pumps which provide 70% higher capacity than traditional screw pumps. The pumps are hydraulically driven and need as such a hydraulic power pack for their operation. The stainless steel pump casing as standard provides high resistance against corrosion and abrasive wear. The skimmers are mounted on a robust stainless steel frame which sustains the four floats and protects the pumps.
Materials
In keeping with its policy of continuous improvement MARKLEEN reserves the right to modify its technical specifications without prior notice.
• MWS skimmers handle all types of oil spills, from light diesel to heavy crude mixed with debris.
• Extremely high recovery capacities at low pump revolutions.
• Large 360º inlet opening with strong cutting knives for efficient debris handling.
• The pump casing is easily dismantled for maintenance and cleaning.
• By removing the floating structure, the skimmer can easily be converted to an efficient submersible transfer or discharge pump.
The ECOBAG is a towable, collapsible floating storage container which can be deployed quickly for temporary storage and towing of recovered oil. The ECOBAG is exceedingly strong, durable and light and requires very little maintenance. It is compact in storage, easy to transport and manageable in operations even in rough conditions.
Unfortunately, many oil spills create shoreline or near shore pollution
The ECOBAG’s very shallow draft makes it an ideal solution for temporary storage in confined areas such as estuaries, rivers and salt marshes. If access to the shoreline is not possible from the sea, an ECOBAG can be deployed and filled on the beach, if the ground is even and level.
The presence of sufficient storage volume will greatly maximize the amount of oil collected in the critical first hours of any skimming operation. The ECOBAG is designed to increase the storage capacity of small oil spill response vessels. Depending on operational requirements, the ECOBAG can be towed alongside or streamed behind a vessel. The ECOBAG can be deployed manually, by crane or from a dedicated reel, and is ready to be used in less than 5 minutes from its stored condition.
In the event of a grounding or collision, an ECOBAG can provide the additional storage to minimize the spillage Often only a small proportion of a damaged tank’s content, quickly transferred, can prevent a major disaster. Due to its light weight and compact size, the ECOBAG is capable of being transported by helicopter to the site of operation.
ECOTANKS are designed for the temporary storage of any type of oil or liquid. Their transportability, quick and easy assembly, light yet robust construction and large storage capacity give the tanks a unique versatility and make them ideal for emergency response services. ECOTANKS are equipped with a valve and camlock connection at their base, allowing for decanting or emptying of the system.

The ECOREEL series consists of a wide range of hydraulically driven reels that make boom operations quick and easy with focus on safety. There are standard models of any size and for every application.
Common to all models are their safe and simple variable speed operation and compact design. Safety of operation is maximised due to a distributor valve which controls direction of rotation, rotational speed (adjustable between 0 and 12 rpm) and the hydraulic braking system.
The ECOREEL is also available with a rotating base making boom recovery easy. By hydraulically swinging the reel from side to side, the boom is distributed effectively on the drum. Only the best brands of hydraulic components are used, guaranteeing that the boom reels deliver in the most demanding of situations. The structure is corrosion protected with
high-quality marine grade coating, in accordance with the NORSOK standard used by the offshore industry in the North Sea, providing increased product durability and minimum maintenance in marine environments.
necessary to deploy up to 600 metres of self-inflatable oil boom quickly and safely.
The hard cover is fitted with roll-up doors, protecting the equipment against severe weather, UV light and vandalism. To operate the unit, only an electrical connection is needed, making it instantly usable without the need for an external power pack or hydraulic hoses.
Operation is by radio remote control, allowing personnel to stay at a safe distance whilst maintaining full control over the reel.
The ECOREEL makes boom recovery possible without physically being in contact with the boom under tension, as the boom is distributed automatically on the drum as the reel slowly sways from one side to the other on its turntable base.
The ECOREEL 16 HT, with its proven and patented design, is corrosion protected according to offshore specifications (Norsok M-501) for long product durability and minimum maintenance in marine environments.
