HIT HER WITH THE SKATES This world premiere production, inspired by a love of the roller rink, plays the Royal George Theatre through June 21 Get ready for a fun, retro coming-ofage story — with a twist — during this world premiere that’s been five years in the making and stars American Idol power couple Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young. Originally set in 1994, pop/rock star Jacqueline Miller is celebrating her first-ever headlining tour on the strength of a hit record. In the midst of all the national attention, she’s delighted to be asked to help kick off the re-opening of the roller rink she loved so much as a child. However, when complications arise, Jacqueline takes a retrospective journey

back to 1977, meeting up with her discoadoring 12-year-old self and all of the people who helped make her who she is. The musical, which incorporates a cast of 10 and six live musicians, examines the magic and hope of discovering your one true love while managing to stay true to yourself along the way. Use code KEY20 for 20% off weekdays through March at HHWTS.com. Playing through June 21 at the Royal George Theatre. 1641 N. Halsted. Call 312-988-9000 or visit Ticketmaster.com for ticket info.
