Alaska Airlines Baggage Policy Alaska Airlines allows 1 carry-on bag (or carry-on) 61 cm long, 43 cm wide and 25 cm high. In addition, it allows each passenger to carry 1 personal item which can be a purse, briefcase, laptop bag or camera. For flights operated by Horizon Air or SkyWest, larger carry-on items may need to be carried in the cart on the side of the aircraft due to their smaller size. This will be delivered to the cart after disembarking. Passengers should note that the above dimensions must be met. Check in baggage For the check-in of suitcases weighing up to 23 kg and 158 cm in linear dimensions, the 1st and 2nd suitcases are charged $ 25 each and the 3rd suitcase onwards are charged USD 75 each. Overweight bags weighing more than 23 kg but less than 45 kg pay $ 75 each. Oversized bags greater than 158cm in linear dimension but less than 203cm cost $ 75 each. Does Alaska Airline provide through check-in facilities? Alaska allows baggage check-in to the final destination if there are connecting flights on the condition that the connecting flight is within 12 hours. If the time is longer than 12 hours, the airline requires the passenger to claim the luggage and re-check in.
