1300APPRENTICE 1300apprentice is a not-for-profit Group Training Company (GTO) and has been operating for over 27 years. Our apprentices and trainees are based in the Sydney metropolitan area, ACT, Southern Tablelands, South Coast, Southern Highlands and many parts of regional New South Wales. We currently employ approximately 300 apprentices and trainees across 40 different vocational areas. This includes both male and female, Indigenous and people of non-English speaking backgrounds. 1300apprentice was established in 1985 under the banner of Bankstown Group Retail Training Scheme to provide a formal means of countering unemployment for our youth and the disadvantaged as well as addressing the skills shortage that was starting to emerge.
