year for Broker of the Year after having written a book on brokering. He didn’t win the award in 2016, so he went ahead and wrote two more books. Those who have read the books know it’s no fluke that Woodhouse is regularly featured on CMP’s list of Top 75 Brokers and that he is often a go-to source for industry knowledge. This year, Woodhouse funded a total of $112.8 million in mortgages – all while writing those two books, as well as speaking and training at various industry events. He also made his way to Ottawa this spring to speak on the impact of the recent mortgage rule changes and to advocate for the industry with various government officials. “Everyone strives to be the best, and everyone wants to achieve at the top,” said Stephen Watton, BDM for southwestern Ontario at Bridgewater Bank, which sponsored the award. “Recognizing the Broker of the Year is about showing the way for the younger brokers.”
