BIENVENIDA Q

uiero daros la bienvenida a la 3ª edición de Keyhole Art Fair. Esta feria de Arte itinerante -que tantas ganas tiene de viajar-, tras nacer en Murcia en el Hotel Nelva se trasladó a Málaga para su segunda edición al Petit Palace Plaza. Con nuevas ciudades barajadas e incluso iniciado el proceso de selección de espacios y trámites para las siguientes ediciones, decidimos que se mantuviera en Murcia cada dos ediciones y no se perdiera esa magia de la primera feria de Arte que se había hecho en Murcia, y así no dejar a la ciudad sin una feria de Arte. Este año iba a volver a ocupar las habitaciones del Nelva, pero nadie habría podido imaginar todo lo que iba a ocurrir este año.

Creo que ya se ha hablado muchísimo de todo lo que ha supuesto esta situación para el mundo de la cultura. El 2020 lo vamos a recordar toda nuestra vida. Está siendo un año que nos va a marcar para siempre. Hemos podido comprobar qué es lo que más nos importa.

En mi caso, no podría vivir sin Arte, y aunque ya lo tenía claro, este año ha alimentado todavía más ese sentimiento. Y tú, si estás aquí, leyendo este catálogo, es porque sientes lo mismo que yo. Así que muchísimas gracias por apoyar la cultura, por querer ser partícipe de este proyecto, como artista, amante del arte, o modesto espectador.

La Rulla, una de las artistas participantes en la 2ª y 3ª edición, bautizó a los artistas seleccionados de cada edición como Keyholianos. A riesgo de parecer algo anecdótico, os lo cuento porque me parece mucho más que todo eso. No sé si verlo como un gentilicio universal independientemente de la ciudad en la que se celebre la feria, o incluso directamente Keyholianos como miembros de una misma estirpe o linaje (ilustres, por supuesto). Porque este tipo de feria va más allá de una exhibición de obras de Arte.

Crea unas uniones que son difíciles de explicar. Tanto con el público, como con el resto de artistas. Uno de los motivos por los que creé esta feria, es por esa parte humana que no siempre hay detrás del mundo del arte, pero que con esta proyecto, un año más, compruebo que sí que existe.

Aunque fuera un último aliento, había que adaptarse a las nuevas circunstancias, y a pesar de quedarnos este año sin la feria de forma física, hemos hecho todo lo posible para invitaros a una experiencia innovadora que marca un antes y un después en las ferias de Arte. Un entorno real y seguro que sobrepasa las limitaciones del distanciamiento social a la espera de un futuro que nos permita volver a disfrutar del contacto directo con artistas y creaciones.

La realidad virtual ofrece muchísimas posibilidades, así que pensemos en la parte positiva: cualquier persona desde cualquier parte del mundo, podrá entrar en las habitaciones para dialogar con las obras.

Quiero dar las gracias Carmelo Gómez, director del Hotel Nelva, por dejarnos acceder al hotel como si fuera nuestra casa para recrear todo el espacio expositivo. Gracias a María del Carmen Sánchez-Rojas, directora de la Fundación Pedro Cano, por su implicación en este proyecto, a Ainoa Gambín, guía del Museo, por tantas facilidades, y al artista Pedro Cano por querer ser uno de los artistas de Keyhole Art Fair. Quiero dar las gracias también a todas las personas que se esfuerzan por apoyar la cultura, a Isabella por su colaboración en la recta final, a todos los artistas que decidieron presentarse a la convocatoria de selección, a todos los que no pudieron ser seleccionados, a todos los artistas que formáis parte -de nuevo, o por primera vez- de esta gran familia, y cómo no, a mi compañera de equipo y de vida: Natalia, no hay ningún equipo mejor que a su lado para que esta feria sea todo aquello en lo que se ha convertido.

WELCOME I want to welcome you to the 3rd edition of Keyhole Art Fair. This traveling art fair -which is so eager to travel- after being born in Murcia at the Nelva Hotel moved to Malaga for its second edition to Petit Palace Plaza. With new cities shuffled and even started the process of selecting spaces and formalities for the following editions, we decided to keep it in Murcia every two editions and not miss that magic of the first art fair that had been done in Murcia, and thus not leave the city without an Art fair. This year I was going to reoccupy the Nelva’s rooms, but no one could have imagined everything that was going to happen this year.

I think there has already been a lot of talk about everything this situation has meant for the world of culture. The 2020 we’re going to remember it all our lives.

It’s been a year that’s going to mark us forever. We’ve been able to see what matters most to us.

In my case, I couldn’t live without Art, and although I was clear, this year has further fueled that feeling. And you, if you’re here, reading this catalog, it’s because you feel the same way I do. So thank you so much for supporting the culture, for wanting to be a part of this project, as an artist, an art lover, or a modest viewer.

La Rulla, one of the artists participating in the 2nd and 3rd edition, baptized the selected artists of each edition as Keyholianos. At the risk of seeming anecdotal, I’m telling you because I think it’s so much more than all that. I do not know whether to see him as a universal inhabitant regardless of the city in which the fair is held, or even directly Keyholians as members of the same lineage (illustrious, of course). Because this kind of fair goes beyond an exhibition of works of art. This create joints that are difficult to explain. Both with the public and with the rest

of the artists. One of the reasons I created this fair, is because of that human part that there is not always behind the art world, but that with this project, one more year, I see that it does exist.

Even if it was a last breath, we had to adapt to the new circumstances, and despite staying this year without the fair in physical form, we have done our best to invite you to an innovative experience that marks a before and after at the art fairs. A real and safe environment that overcomes the limitations of social distancing pending a future that allows us to enjoy direct contact with artists and creations again.

Virtual reality offers a lot of possibilities, so let’s think about the positive part: anyone from anywhere in the world can enter the rooms to talk to the works.

I want to thank Carmelo Gómez, director of hotel Nelva, for letting us access the hotel as if it were our home to recreate all the exhibition space. Thanks to María del Carmen Sánchez-Rojas, director of the Pedro Cano Foundation, for her involvement in this project, Ainoa Gambín, guide of the Museum, for so many facilities, and the artist Pedro Cano for wanting to be one of the artists of Keyhole Art Fair. A inara Torrano

(1977, Murcia) se trasladó a Alemania a través de una beca Erasmus en su último año de carrera. Regresó a Valencia para sus estudios de postgrado y comenzó a interesarse en esta época por la lucha de los derechos LGTB, por los estudios de género y el discurso feminista, y empezó a desarrollarse de esta manera su gran punto de intereses también como artista. Formó parte de varios colectivos como Lambda, siendo parte de los grupos de Derechos Humanos y Estudios Queer. También fue miembro del colectivo contra la violencia de género fundado por Ana Navarrete, una de sus profesoras de los cursos de posgrado. Todo ello influyó en su ámbito artístico.

En el 2014 se trasladó de forma temporal a Alemania, pero acabó instalándose de forma indefinida en Dresden, donde volvió a reencontrarse con la pintura y a la que consiguió dedicar todo su tiempo, comenzando así su gran carrera artística en prestigiosas galerías de arte alemanas donde destacan las galerías “Drei”, “Holger John” y “Kunst und Eros”. En 2019 realizó, a modo excepcional, tres escultura de bustos de gran formato para el legendario cantante alemán Udo Lindenberg para su gira de conciertos. Su última exposición fue en 2019 con la individual “Sin Poesía. La belleza que salva” en la sala de exposiciones de la BGW Akademie de Dresden.

Realismo sucio, seres perdidos. Melancolía e incomunicación en las personas incluso en escenas estivales de supuesta despreocupación. Figuras anónimas, sin importar el género o la edad. Personajes universales. Protagonistas de una narración con una gran intensidad psicológica que nos impulsa a la reflexión.

Ainara Torrano (1977, Murcia) moved to Germany on an Erasmus scholarship in her final year.

She returned to Valencia for her postgraduate studies and began to take an interest at this time in the struggle for LGBT rights, gender studies and feminist discourse, and thus began to develop her great point of interest as an artist as well. She was part of several collectives such as Lambda, being part of the Human Rights and Queer Studies groups. She was also a member of the collective against gender violence founded

by Ana Navarrete, one of her professors in the postgraduate courses. All this influenced his artistic environment.

In 2014 she moved temporarily to Germany, but ended up settling indefinitely in Dresden, where she rediscovered painting, to which she managed to devote all her time, thus beginning her great artistic career in prestigious German art galleries such as “Drei”, “Holger John” and “Kunst und Eros”. In 2019 he made, exceptionally, three large-format sculptures of busts for the legendary German singer Udo Lindenberg for his concert tour. His last exhibition was in 2019 with the solo show “Without Poetry. Beauty that saves” in the exhibition hall of the BGW Akademie in Dresden.

Dirty realism, lost beings. Melancholy and lack of communication in people even in summer scenes of supposedly carefree. Anonymous figures, regardless of gender or age. Universal characters.

Protagonists of a narration with a great psychological intensity that drives us to reflection.

(1998, Chișinău, Moldavia). “Después de realizar mis primeros estudios en mi país, me trasladé a la Universitatea Națională de Arte “George Enescu” Iasi en Rumanía. He participado en concursos y exposiciones colectivas e individuales en Moldavia, Rumania, Italia y España. Me enamoré de España cuando conseguí una beca Erasmus en 2018 en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Murcia. Obtuve una beca para realizar unas prácticas en España y elegí la Galería Léucade de Murcia. En 2019 hice mi primera exposición individual en España en Galería El Punto Rojo en Murcia.

Con mis obras intento expresar preguntas unidas a valores humanos, diversas emociones y análisis psicológicos. Espero que la gente piense en esos aspectos al contemplar mis obras y que puedan encontrar sus respuestas.”

Sofia Plantus (1998, Chișinău, Moldova). “After my first studies in my country, I moved to the Universitatea Națională de Arte “George Enescu” Iasi in Romania. I have participated in contests and collective and individual exhibitions in Moldova, Romania, Italy and Spain. I fell in love with Spain when I got an Erasmus scholarship in 2018 at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Murcia. I got a scholarship to do an internship in Spain and I chose the Léucade Gallery in Murcia.

In 2019 I had my first individual exhibition in Spain at Galería El Punto Rojo in Murcia. With my works I try to express questions linked to human values, diverse emotions and psychological analysis. I hope that people will think about these aspects when contemplating my works and that they will be able to find their answers”.

(1975, Zaragoza). Doctorado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Barcelona en 2005 con la su tesis ‘Modelado, Creación y Conocimiento. Spiritus Classicus’. Desde el año 2003 Egea ha sido profesor en el Departamento de Escultura de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Barcelona y ha trabajado en diversas ocasiones como profesor invitado en universidades europeas, así como en la California Sculpture Academy en los Estados Unidos.

Como investigador, es miembro del grupo GRACMON en el Departamento de Historia del Arte (Universidad de Barcelona) y, actualmente, es director del Institut Català de Recerca en Escultura (ICRE).vComo escultor mantiene una fuerte presencia en la escena nacional e internacional. Desde 1992 ha realizado exposiciones habitualmente en Francia, Italia, Estados Unidos y Japón. De igual manera, participa asiduamente en exposiciones de arte en España. Al largo de la su carrera ha ganado diversos premios, becas y un amplio reconocimiento. También es autor de publicaciones, tanto acerca de su propio trabajo como de proyectos museísticos.

La presencia del cuerpo y la búsqueda de la belleza a través de la gura humana han tenido los principales conceptos en el desarrollo de mis obras de arte. Desde mi contacto inicial con la arcilla como medio fundamental para la creación, creo que en la base de cada obra de arte hay una relación personal con el material, una búsqueda del origen del arte en sí mismo. Mis obras no tienen tema, el tema es el cuerpo o la belleza misma. La referencia al mundo clásico, en un título o una actitud es solo la pista que conecta con todo el mundo clásico, que nos define como Occidente. Creo que lo clásico es siempre una revolución contra el arte académico (que es su versión degradada) por lo tanto en una sociedad como la actual, el arte clásico sigue siendo un revulsivo, un elemento de constante ruptura”.

Jorge Egea.

Jorge Egea (1975, Zaragoza). PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona in 2005 with his thesis ‘Modelling, Creation and Knowledge.

Spiritus Classicus’. Since 2003 Egea has been a professor in the Department of Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona and has worked on several occasions as a guest professor at European universities, as well as at the California Sculpture Academy in the United States. As a researcher, he is a member of the GRACMON group in the Department of History of Art (University of Barcelona) and is currently the director of the Catalan Institute for Research in Sculpture (ICRE). vAs a sculptor, he maintains a strong presence on the national and international scene. Since 1992 he has held regular exhibitions in France, Italy, the United States and Japan. He also participates regularly in art exhibitions in Spain. Throughout his career he has won several prizes, scholarships and wide recognition. He is also the author of publications, both about his own work and museum projects.

“The presence of the body and the search for beauty through human nature have been the main concepts in the development of my works of art.

From my initial contact with clay as a fundamental medium for creation, I believe that at the base of each work of art there is a personal relationship with the material, a search for the origin of art itself. My works have no theme, the theme is the body or beauty itself. The reference to the classical world, in a title or an attitude is only the clue that connects with the whole classical world, which defines us as the West. I believe that the classical is always a revolution against academic art (which is its degraded version) therefore in a society like the present one, classical art continues to be a revulsive, an element of constant rupture.

ha expuesto su trabajo como artista en galerías internacionales en España, USA y Taiwán como son Mutuo Gallery (Barcelona), Galería Léucade (Murcia), Nick Allen Gallery (San Francisco, USA), Yiri Arts (Taichung y Kaohsiung, Taiwán), así como en el MEAM (Museu Europeu d’Art Modern de Barcelona) entre otros. Ha participado en ferias de arte internacionales como Art Madrid (España), Young Art Taipéi (Taiwán), Kölner Liste (Alemania) o GMAC (Francia). Su trabajo, además, ha sido galardonado con premios como el Art Emergent Sabadell y forma parte de colecciones privadas internacionales, así como de la colección de la Fundación banco Sabadell.

J ose Barros

(1978, Molina de Segura, Murcia). Galardonado con numerosos premios desde 2015, ha colaborado como jurado además de realizar exposiciones individuales y colectivas en todo el territorio nacional.

Si le preguntan cómo define su trabajo, responde: Me considero un fotógrafo autodidacta en continuo proceso de mejora.

Suelo jugar mucho con la superposición de varias imágenes; un método muy utilizado en fotografía analógica y, con el que desde hace varios años me muevo cómodamente, jugando con los elementos que me ofrece el lugar donde me encuentre, obteniendo así una obra única, nada minimalista y, con múltiples interpretaciones. Me identifico como un fotógrafo totalmente visual, eso significa que mis ojos nunca descansan. Pienso que la fotografía es una forma de ser, de pensar, de sentir y de vivir. Es simple, me gusta observar para captar instantes que me provoquen sentimientos.”

Lleva desde 2012 realizando exposiciones por todo el territorio nacional, contando 37 colectivas y tres individuales. En la actualidad, su trabajo va dirigido a la fotografía social y documental, desde una visión íntegramente monocromática.

Jose Barros (1978, Molina de Segura, Murcia).

Awarded numerous prizes since 2015, he has collaborated as a member of the jury as well as carrying out individual and collective exhibitions throughout Spain.

If you ask him how he defines his work, he answers: “I consider myself a self-taught photographer in a continuous process of improvement. I usually play a lot with the superimposition of several images; a method widely used in analogue photography and, with which I have been moving comfortably for several years, playing with the elements offered by the place where I am, thus obtaining a unique work, nothing minimalist and, with multiple interpretations. I identify myself as a totally visual photographer, that means that my eyes never rest. I think that photography is a way of being, thinking, feeling and living. It’s simple, I like to observe in order to capture moments that provoke feelings”.

Since 2012 he has been holding exhibitions all over Spain, counting 37 collective and three individual ones. At present, his work is directed towards social and documentary photography, from an entirely monochromatic viewpoint.

Á ngel Maciá

(1970, Cartagena, Murcia.) Licenciado en Bellas Artes y Premio Extraordinario 2009 por la Universidad de Murcia. Artista plástico versátil que ha trabajado desde la escultura, pintura, fotografía, ilustración, libro de artista, diseño de moda, etc, siendo la pintura su principal disciplina. Su estilo está dentro de la Figuración y el Realismo Mágico, abarcando el mundo de lo onírico y lo simbólico, siendo la figura su principal fuente de inspiración.

La pintura es un bálsamo que cura el alma a través de las pinceladas y el color, transportando al receptor a otros mundos. La convulsa palpitación de lo creativo está patente en todo lo que realizo pues amo lo que hago despojándome de toda la cruel realidad que no me deja respirar. “ La belleza es aquella que te hará vibrar hasta saciar cada uno de los poros de tu piel consiguiendo el mayor de los orgasmos de tu intelecto. Pinto, luego existo.”

Ángel Maciá.

Ángel Maciá (1970, Cartagena, Murcia.) Graduate in Fine Arts and winner of the 2009 Extraordinary Prize from the University of Murcia. Versatile plastic artist who has worked from sculpture, painting, photography, illustration, artist’s book, fashion design, etc, being painting his main discipline. His style is within the Figuration and the Magic Realism, covering the world of the oneiric and the symbolic, being the figure his main source of inspiration.

“Painting is a balm that heals the soul through the brushstrokes and the colour, transporting the receiver to other worlds. The convulsive throbbing of the creative is evident in everything I do because I love what I do, stripping myself of all the cruel reality that does not let me breathe.

“Beauty is that which will make you vibrate until every pore of your skin is satiated, achieving the greatest orgasm of your intellect. I paint, therefore I am.”

P aloma Jover

(1992, Valencia). Apasionada por el arte y el diseño realiza los estudios de Bellas Artes (2010-2015) en la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia y los completa con el Máster en Producción Artística (2016-2017) en la misma universidad y con el Máster en Gestión y Diseño Publicitario (2015-2016) en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Realizó su primera exposición individual “Gestos” en 2013 y desde entonces ha continuado su carrera participando en exposiciones colectivas, nacionales e internacionales, y continuando con individuales como “Pisando fuerte” (2016) o “Textura.

La segunda piel” (2017). También ha intervenido en ponencias como “Lo que pintan las Mujeres. Mujeres artistas en la colección artística de la Diputación de Valencia” (2017).

Actualmente combina su trabajo como diseñadora gráfica con su creación artística. Su obra más actual es la serie “It’s Only Rock’n’Roll” compuesta por acuarelas, óleos y dibujos de pequeño y gran formato en los que la artista une su pasión por la música rock y su pasión por el arte para generar una colección llena de energía, sentimiento y verdad. De su obra destaca el realismo y la representación de la figura femenina como eje principal de las diferentes series. Además destaca el estudio de la técnica para la representación de la ropa (texturas, estampados, tejidos…) y el erotismo de las escenas acompañadas de guitarras, cueros, piel o elementos relacionados con el mundo del rock..

Paloma Jover (1992, Valencia). Passionate about art and design, she studied Fine Arts (2010-2015) at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and completed them with a Master’s Degree in Artistic Production (2016-2017) at the same university and a Master’s Degree in Advertising Management and Design (2015-2016) at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He had his first individual exhibition “Gestos” in 2013 and since then he has continued his career by participating in group exhibitions, both national and international, and continuing with individual exhibitions such as “Pisando fuerte” (2016) or “Textura. The second skin” (2017). She has also taken part in talks such as “Lo que pintan las Mujeres. Women artists in the Valencia Provincial Council’s art collection” (2017).

She currently combines her work as a graphic designer with her artistic creation. Her most current work is the series “It’s Only Rock’n’Roll” made up of watercolours, oils and small and large format drawings in which the artist unites her passion for rock music and her passion for art to generate a collection full of energy, feeling and truth. The realism and the representation of the female figure stand out from her work as the main axis of the different series. In addition it emphasizes the study of the technique for the representation of the clothes (textures, prints, weaves...) and the eroticism of the scenes accompanied by guitars, leathers, skin or elements related to the world of the rock.

Las pinturas de Alexander Grahovsky son retratos de personas que miransin mirar. Podrían pasarse toda la vida ensimismados el ritual de su chicle.

Y el chicle es una figura del hastío, la repetición neurótica del eterno presente.

Con el chicle en tensión el tiempo se detiene. Es la suspensión que se puede sentir en las escenas de interior de los cuadros de Hopper…como una leve amenaza en el ambiente. Pero en la obra de Grahovsky la amenaza se diluye en el humor del gesto de la moda y el juego infantil. Anudando a Ingres con Duchamp; a Hockney con Mapplethorpe y Liberatore… para acabar soñando el sueño de una película de Lynch.

Cuando el chicle estalla, el tiempo que estalla a su vez tampoco es otra cosa: porque las gafas se ausentan solo para mostrarnos que la indiferencia permanece. Únicamente cuando el chicle se libera, su destino se transfigura en paisaje que los personajes no ven. Todo está en el chicle, los cuerpos son solo su extensión. Porque afuera, haya lo que haya, no hay ya nada.”

“Alexander Grahovsky’s paintings are portraits of people I look at. They could spend their whole life in self-absorption with the ritual of their chewing gum. And chewing gum is a figure of boredom, the neurotic repetition of the eternal present. With gum in tension, time stops. It is the suspension that can be felt in the interior scenes of Hopper’s paintings... as a slight threat in the environment.

But in Grahovsky’s work the threat is diluted in the humour of fashion and children’s play. Knotting Ingres with Duchamp; Hockney with Mapplethorpe and Liberatore... to end up dreaming the dream of a Lynch film.

When the gum explodes, the time that it explodes in turn is not something else either: because the glasses are absent only to show us that indifference remains. Only when the gum is released, its destiny is transformed into a landscape that the characters do not see.

Morell F rancis “

(1967, Elche, Alicante).

Estudió Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos en Orihuela. A pesar de especializarse en talla, el dibujo y la tinta fue lo que ocupó todo su tiempo. Aprendió orfebrería en un pequeño taller en Elche y posteriormente estuvo trabajando en una fábrica de joyería. Así queda patente su irremediable gusto por los detalles y acabados, en los que su minuciosidad son su mayor impronta.Sus obras, bien podrían haber sido realizadas durante la Edad Media, ya que parecen formar parte de aquellos manuscritos iluminados, a los que la plata y el oro los suple la magia que los envuelve solamente con tinta o con una gama de color siempre dentro de su propia paleta que hace que, cuando vemos un Morell, sabemos que es un Morell. Pocos artistas consiguen tener una identidad tan fuerte como la que él posee.

Sus obras nos trasladan a otro universo. Cuando dibuja, Francis Morell se convierte en lo más parecido a un Dios al crear nuevos seres con una minucia tan exquisita, que parece que vivieran escondidos entre los papeles sobre los que nos los muestra.”

Francis Morell (1967, Elche, Alicante). “He studied Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts in Orihuela.

Despite specialising in carving, drawing and ink was what occupied all his time. He learnt gold and silver work in a small workshop in Elche and later worked in a jewellery factory. His works could have been made during the Middle Ages, since they seem to be part of those illuminated manuscripts, where silver and gold replace the magic that surrounds them only with ink or with a colour range always within its own palette that makes that, when we see a Morell, we know that it is a Morell. Few artists manage to have an identity as strong as the one he has.

His works take us to another universe. When he draws, Francis Morell becomes the closest thing to a God by creating new beings with such exquisite detail that they seem to live hidden among the papers on which he shows them to us”.

(1973, Novelda, Alicante). Artista y filósofa que siempre ha combinado sus dos corrientes, además obtuvo el Dîplome de Études approfondies en Filosofía del Arte en la Universidad Paris X-Nanterre. Ha ilustrado varios libros y revistas y ha expuesto en galerías, fundaciones y museos de diversas ciudades españolas e italianas.

Llegamos a la obra de Mari Paz Pellín (Paupellin) como en peregrinación; en lo personal, he navegado “océanos de tiempo”.

Llegamos a un paisaje plural, diverso, móvil, un paisaje en tránsito, un paisaje en perpetua metamorfosis, de humana orografía, de círculos de piedra, de hojas que nacen y mueren en el ciclo perpetuo de las estaciones, de bibliotecas en ciudades post-apocalípticas y babeles como faros en playas solitarias, de caballos decapitados que aún galopan, de sueños atrapados en el límite del despertar, de desesperanza y de esperanza.

Fragilidad del equilibrio, milagro efímero de lo inesperado, un puente tendido entre los extremos del caos y el orden, que cristaliza en una pléyade de obras en las que se vierte la artista como un ánfora, equilibrista ella entre la materia y el sentimiento.”

Artist and philosopher who has always combined his two currents, he also obtained the Dîplome de Études approfondies in Philosophy of Art at the University of Paris X-Nanterre. She has illustrated several books and magazines and has exhibited in galleries, foundations and museums in various Spanish and Italian cities.

Sánchez Nieto J uanmi “

(1958, Cartagena, Murcia).

Me siento cómodo en el proceso continuo de aprendizaje y descubrimiento de técnicas y motivos.

Tras el paréntesis de mis estudios universitarios, realicé algunos trabajos de diseño gráfico para empresas e instituciones. Presenté mi primera exposición individual de pintura en 1999, consecuencia de algunos apuntes tras viajar a África. He pintado fundamentalmente con témpera, acrílicos y aerografía sobre papel, lienzo, madera o tabla. Últimamente exploro las técnicas del collage y estarcido sobre madera.

Unas veces me gusta la gestualidad y la espontaneidad en los trazos, pero en otras ocasiones prefiero la definición. Antes menospreciaba los objetos como motivo, pero ahora creo que me gusta pintar sobre cualquier “asunto”, especialmente si tiene que ver con lo humano. Últimamente me interesan las figuras en movimiento, el rostro y el espacio.”

Juanmi Sánchez Nieto (1958, Cartagena, Murcia).

“I feel comfortable in the continuous process of learning and discovering techniques and motives.

After a break from my university studies, I did some graphic design work for companies and institutions. I presented my first individual painting exhibition in 1999, as a result of some notes after travelling to Africa. I have mainly painted with gouache, acrylics and airbrush on paper, canvas, wood or board. Lately I have been exploring the techniques of collage and stenciling on wood.

Sometimes I like the gesture and spontaneity in the strokes, but other times I prefer the definition. I used to despise objects as a motif, but now I think I like painting about any “subject”, especially if it has to do with the human. Lately I’m interested in moving figures, the face and space”.

(1962, Valencia). Desde 2017, ha expuesto en numerosas salas expositivas, galerías de arte y museos de diversas ciudades de España y recientemente también ha expuesto en Francia.

“

En mi última serie «HILANDO HAMOR» intento plasmar el Hamor con H que es diferente y profundo, no entiende de sexos ni edades, capaz de traspasar la barrera del tiempo y que hago visible a través de las miradas. Me encanta hilar ese Hamor con un hilo rojo que une los personajes de mis historias o reflexiones, creando un mundo fantástico. En mi serie MUJER, me gustó pintar a la mujer con sus cargas sociales, con sus fantasías y así conseguir liberarlas y que salgan de sus guaridas de confort o de miedo y hagan brotar la primavera de sus sueños.

Quiero que fluyan los deseos inalcanzables y romper las expectativas de nuestro género para que poco a poco vayan traspasando los muros de cristal y finalmente conseguir convertirnos en mujeres libres. Como MUJER, quiero que la mujer no esté sometida a nada, que aprenda a deshacerse de los viejos anclajes y viva su vida según ella misma, sin ataduras, con libertad, con color, con alegría, liberando nuestros pájaros mentales y así podremos enriquecer nuestra inteligencia y sensibilidad. SÓLO CREO QUE LA MUJER NO NACE, SE HACE y este debe ser nuestro objetivo como personas libres y vivas.” .

Marisa Armero (1962, Valencia). Since 2017, she has exhibited in numerous exhibition halls, art galleries and museums in various cities in Spain and recently has also exhibited in France.

“In my latest series “HILANDO HAMOR” I try to capture the Hamor with H that is different and deep, it does not understand sexes or ages, capable of crossing the time barrier and that I make visible through the gazes. I love spinning that Hamor with a red thread that joins the characters of my stories or reflections, creating a fantastic world. (1961, Caravaca de la Cruz, Murcia). Estudia en la escuela de Artes y Oficios de Caravaca, posteriormente continua sus estudios en la Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Motril. Ha expuesto en numerosas ocasiones, teniendo una valoración artística de comité de selección por importantes figuras del arte europeo en Luxembourg Art Prize en 2016. Ha comisariado numerosas exposiciones y ha creado el proyecto Icon Talents, en el que divulga el talento artístico en distintas disciplinas mediante artículos personalizados y actos de presentación en el Noroeste Murciano.

Desnudo de nuevo mi alma para reflejar en cada una de mis obras un proceso de investigación pictórica realizado durante tres años. Basado dicho proyecto en el compromiso fehaciente con el medio ambiente, con el respeto a la naturaleza, puesto de manifiesto en cada uno de mis trabajos. Ana Vacas (1961, Caravaca de la Cruz, Murcia) She studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Caravaca, then continued her studies at the School of Arts and Crafts in Motril. He has exhibited on numerous occasions, having been judged artistically by a selection committee of important figures in European art at the Luxembourg Art Prize in 2016. He has curated numerous exhibitions and has created the Icon Talents project, in which he disseminates artistic talent in different disciplines through personalised articles and presentation events in the Northwest of Murcia.

“I bare my soul again to reflect in each of my works a process of pictorial research carried out over three years. This project is based on a firm commitment to the environment, with respect for nature, which is evident in each of my works.

Adhering to my hands the brushes, I explore above all the possibility of colour and light more than form; of emotions more than understanding. In all my exhibitions I present a work made with recycled materials to show the world that art has infinite possibilities”.

M anzanares

Guillermo Manzanares (1993, Las Torres de Cotillas, Murcia). En 2013 empezó a exponer como estudiante de Bellas Artes y en 2017 comenzó a hacerlo de forma profesional en Galerías de Arte. Su obra también ha podido verse en la Feria de Arte Keyhole Art Fair tanto en Murcia como en Málaga. Algunas de sus series se caracterizan por cuerpos no normativos en los que intenta reflejar un enfoque actual pero partiendo de lo clásico.

En muchas ocasiones sus obras han sido censuradas en varios lugares o ha dado de que hablar, pero el artista nunca ha tirado la toalla. Actualmente está trabajando en una serie en la que parte de la mitología para poder hacerla llegar hasta nosotros llevada a cabo por alguien que ha nacido en los 90. Quiere romper con lo clásico pero sin dejar de tenerlo presente como base esencial.

Añade elementos pictóricos que no estamos acostumbrados a ver en pinturas de este formato.

Guillermo Manzanares (1993, Las Torres de Cotillas, Murcia). In 2013 he began exhibiting as a Fine Arts student and in 2017 he began to do so professionally in Art Galleries. His work has also been seen at the Keyhole Art Fair in both Murcia and Malaga. Some of his series are characterized by non-normative bodies in which he tries to reflect a current approach but starting from the classic. On many occasions his works have been censored in various places or he has given cause to speak, but the artist has never thrown in the towel. He is currently working on a series in which part of mythology to be able to make it reach us carried out by someone who was born in the 90s.

He wants to break with the classic but without ceasing to have it present as an essential basis.

(1980, Écija, Sevilla). Profesor de Grabado en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Cuenca. Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Doctor en Bellas Artes con mención europea por la Universidad de Granada. Candidato a Doctor por la Facultad de Historia del Artes de la Universidad de Jyväskylä (Finlandia).

Desde 2015, es el Director Académico del Centro de Iniciativas Culturales la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Coordinador de la Colección de Obra Gráfica y la Colección de Fondos de Obra Gráfica Juana Mordó de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la UCLM. Profesor en el Master en Medios de Grabado y Diseño Gráfico de la Real Casa de la Moneda de Madrid, académicamente oficial de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Cofundador y presidente del proyecto artístico y editorial La CajaGrafa. Compagina su actividad como artista, con la actividad docente e investigadora. Ha recibido numerosas becas de diferentes centros e instituciones de ámbito nacional e internacional por su actividad investigadora, la cual, desde años viene desarrollando sobre el grabado y los medios fotomecánicos y su aplicación al grabado a través de materiales menos tóxicos. De igual modo, mantiene diferentes proyectos de investigación dentro de este ámbito de estudio.

Como artista ha participado en numerosas exposiciones tanto colectivas e individuales a nivel nacional e internacional y ha participado en diferentes proyectos artísticos. Su obra navega en torno al recuerdo, la esencia, los sueños y la memoria, donde su afinado estilo de dibujo juego un papel muy importante a la hora de representar su trabajo. Lo figurativo, lo expresivo e incluso las formas abstractas se relacionan entre sí, a través de una rica variedad de matices, tonos, texturas y grafismos, recogidos en una matriz de grabado. A través de sus obras, nos invita a transitar con una mirada diferente esos espacios urbanos que trasladados al papel con maestría y precisión a través de sus alegorías gráficas nos transporta a un nuevo plano poético-visual para que disfrutemos de otra manera de ver, imaginando otros itinerarios menos trillados, tal vez como una poética del paisaje urbano que nos invita a un recorrido pausado y evocador de ciudades, de calles que hemos visto en algún viaje real o imaginado.

The figurative, the expressive and even the abstract forms are related to each other, through a rich variety of shades, tones, textures and graphics, collected in an engraving matrix. Through his works, he invites us to walk through those urban spaces with a different look, which, transferred to paper with mastery and precision through his graphic allegories, transports us to a new poetic-visual plane so that we can enjoy another way of seeing, imagining other less hackneyed itineraries, perhaps as a poetics of the urban landscape that invites us to a slow and evocative tour of cities, of streets that we have seen on some real or imagined journey.

“

Cursando el grado de Bellas Artes estaba cómoda con la escultura y con el dibujo. La pintura la miraba de lejos y con respeto. Pero como me gustan los retos, quería aprender a trabajar con ella. Después de unos años y un máster (sangre, sudor y lágrimas), la pintura ya fluye a través de mí y se ha convertido en el principal medio de expresión que tengo. Sin la pintura ahora no sé ser. Diré de mí, que no busco nunca esa belleza establecida, sino que la exploro en las cosas cotidianas. Las pinceladas son sueltas y robustas, cargadas de color y de expresividad. Los trazos desnudados de idealismos banales aportan esa belleza que no es la ideal. No maquillo, tan solo lo dejo caer tal cual.

Me centro en el campo de la figura humana, y la describo como si de un mapa de piel se tratara, describiendo la geografía física de la gente. La mayor parte de las veces despego las figuras del fondo para resaltar, más todavía, la persona. Incluso dejo el material del soporte desnudo, porque las dos orografías se mezclan e imprimen un carácter peculiar y diferenciador. Así, las figuras las aíslo del mundo por completo, quedan en el vacío. Acabaré en que siempre hay que mirar más allá, y en mis obras no hay nada al azar, aunque pueda parecer una situación poco trascendental siempre habrá un trasfondo escondido donde abordo alguna temática social o de desigualdad.”

“I was comfortable with sculpture and drawing when I was studying for my degree in Fine Arts.

She looked at painting from a distance and with respect. But since I like challenges, I wanted to learn how to work with it. After a few years and a master’s degree (blood, sweat and tears), painting already flows through me and has become the main means of expression I have. Without painting I don’t know how to be now. I will say about myself, that I never look for that established beauty, but explore it in everyday things. The brushstrokes are loose and robust, full of colour and expressiveness. The naked strokes of banal idealism provide that beauty which is not ideal.

I don’t make up, I just drop it as it is. I focus on the human figure, and I describe it as if it were a skin map, describing the physical geography of people. Most of the time I remove the figures from the background to highlight, even more, the person. I even leave the material of the support naked, because the two orographies mix and print a peculiar and differentiating character.

In this way, I isolate the figures from the world completely, they remain in the void. I will end up by saying that we must always look beyond, and in my works there is nothing random, even though it may seem an unimportant situation there will always be a hidden background where I tackle some social or inequality issue”.

(1972, Algemesí, Comunidad Valenciana). Ingresó en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de San Carlos de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, y se licenció en la especialidad de escultura. Desde el año 2001 es perito cerámico artístico por la Escuela de Cerámica de Manises. En el 2010 toma el pseudónimo de Sémele para firmar su obra pictórica y escultórica. Abre taller propio en Algemesí, Valencia y actualmente en Albalat de la Ribera donde trabaja y expone la obra personal que crea. Su obra sigue las directrices de obra artística realista. Pintura de modelo, bodegón y paisaje a plein air son los géneros artísticos en que trabaja. La pintura de modelo y muy especialmente la masculina, tiene un protagonismo importante y especial, como dice el artista: porque mis obras han de transpirar mis anhelos y deseos, mis fantasías y mis experiencias.”

Sémele (1972, Algemesí, Valencian Community).

He entered the Faculty of Fine Arts of San Carlos at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and graduated with a degree in sculpture. Since 2001 he has been an artistic ceramics expert at the Escuela de Cerámica de Manises. In 2010 he took the pseudonym Sémele to sign his pictorial and sculptural work. He opens his own workshop in Algemesí, Valencia and currently in Albalat de la Ribera where he works and exhibits the personal work he creates. His work follows the guidelines of realistic artistic work. Model painting, still life and landscape are the artistic genres in which he works. Model painting, and especially masculine painting, plays an important and special role, as the artist says: “because my works have to transpire my desires and wishes, my fantasies and my experiences”.

A ntonio Soler Moreno

(1971, Alicante, Comunidad Valenciana) ha ganado diversos premios de fotografía en ciudades como Madrid, esto ha hecho que algunas de sus obras estuvieran expuestas en espacio como el Ateneo de Valencia o las Cigarreras de Alicante.

El paraíso no siempre está lejos, y muchas veces se encuentra a nuestro lado. El Cabo de la Huerta en Alicante es uno de mis parajes naturales preferidos. Como consecuencia del estado de alarma por el COVID, estuve tres meses y medio sin poder recorrerlo ni fotografiarlo, algo que era habitual en mí. Por ello, una vez que salimos del confinamiento, me propuse realizar una serie de fotografías de larga exposición, en concreto 3 minutos y 30 segundos en recuerdo de esos meses de desierto. Un lugar que ya de por si es privilegiado, se trasforma en algo mágico ante este pulso con el tiempo, cuyo transcurrir difumina el paisaje, haciendo que el movimiento, a pesar de estar congelado en la instantánea, se haga patente. Todo se suaviza y de alguna forma se distorsiona. Lo natural, lo verdadero, sigue siendo bello a pesar de que el tiempo le pase por encima. La pátina del tiempo parece hacerlo todo sencillo, camuflando la complejidad patente que subyace en todo lo vivo. Cuando volví al Cabo, todo parecía estar en su sitio salvo yo, que había cambiado después de enfrentarme a esos tres meses y medio de necesario cautiverio, y así se llama la serie de fotografías que presento: 3,30, y que han supuesto la vuelta a la vida fotográfica y a la naturaleza que me alimenta.”

Antonio Soler Moreno (1971, Alicante, Valencia) has won several photography awards in cities such as Madrid, this has led to some of his works being exhibited in spaces such as the Ateneo de Valencia or the Cigarreras de Alicante.

“Paradise is not always far away, and many times it is by our side. Cabo de la Huerta in Alicante is one of my favorite natural spots. As a result of the state of alarm for COVID, I spent three and a half months without being able to visit it or photograph it, something that was usual for me.

Therefore, once we left the confinement, I decided to take a series of long exposure photographs, specifically 3 minutes and 30 seconds in memory of those months in the desert. A place that is already privileged in itself, becomes something magical in the face of this pulse over time, the passing of which blurs the landscape, making movement, despite being frozen in the snapshot, become patent. Everything is smoothed out and somehow distorted. The natural, the true, continues to be beautiful despite time passing over it. The patina of time seems to make everything simple, camouflaging the obvious complexity that underlies everything that lives.

When I returned to the Cape, everything seemed to be in its place except for me, who had changed after facing those three and a half months of necessary captivity, and that is the name of the series of photographs that I present: 3.30, and that have supposed the back to photographic life and the nature that feeds me.“ Antonio Soler.

N atalia Pérez Chazarra

(1972, Alicante, Comunidad Valenciana). De formación autodidacta hasta el año 2012 en el que cursa un Máster en ilustración con técnicas tradicionales y digitales y descubre casi por casualidad el mundo del libro de artista. En el 2013, apenas iniciada su producción artística en torno al libro objeto, recibe el Premio FALA al mejor libro de artista en Alicante, su ciudad natal. Su obra es seleccionada durante varios años consecutivos para participar en ILDE Festival Internacional del Libro de Artista de Barcelona. Ha participado en numerosas exposiciones individuales y colectivas y en los últimos tiempos ha introducido el video arte como complemento a la presentación de sus obras.

Me formé como ilustradora, pero toda mi vida he dibujado, pintado, escrito, restaurado muebles y objetos, he sido buscadora de “tesoros” y catalogadora de “hallazgos”…Pocas veces me hago fotos y apenas tengo recuerdos en papel de años atrás, en cambio, guardo meticulosamente en mi recuerdo olores, formas y texturas que conforman lo que soy y me dan pistas de lo que seré. El libro de artista como forma de expresión apareció ante mí de forma casual, como aparecen los grandes hallazgos, hace apenas unos 7 años y entendí rápidamente que ese sería a partir de entonces mi lenguaje, en el que siento que todo se conjuga como debe, en el que me comprendo y consigo que se me entienda.Trabajo con obra única, tridimensional y con una marcada secuencia de lectura, que hace necesario que la obra se despliegue, se relate y a veces se escenifique, para poder ser entendida y disfrutada en toda su amplitud. En los últimos tiempos se ha unido casi inexorablemente a cada obra plástica, el audiovisual que pretende acercar al espectador a esa compleja y rica lectura cuando yo no estoy cerca para hacerlo. Las ferias, los open estudio y los espacios que permiten el contacto directo con aquellas personas que con curiosidad se acercan a alguno de mis libros, son los lugares donde realmente habito como artista.”

Natalia Pérez Chazarra (1972, Alicante, Valencian Community). Self-taught until 2012, when she studied a Master’s degree in illustration using traditional and digital techniques and discovered the world of artist’s books almost by chance. “I was trained as an illustrator, but all my life I have drawn, painted, written, restored furniture and objects, I have been a searcher of “treasures” and a cataloguer of “finds”... I rarely take pictures and I hardly have any memories on paper of years gone by, instead I keep meticulously in my memory smells, shapes and textures that make up what I am and give me clues to what I will be. The artist’s book as a form of expression appeared before me by chance, as the great discoveries do, only about 7 years ago and I quickly understood that this would be from then on my language, in which I feel that everything is conjugated as it should be, in which I understand myself and I manage to be understood. I work with unique, three-dimensional work and with a marked reading sequence, which makes it necessary for the work to unfold, to be related and sometimes to be staged, in order to be understood and enjoyed in all its amplitude.

In recent times, the audiovisual has been almost inexorably linked to each plastic work, trying to bring the spectator closer to that complex and rich reading when I am not around to do so. The fairs, the open studios and the spaces that allow direct contact with those people who are curious about some of my books, are the places where I really live as an artist”.

S herry Kerlin.

El trabajo de Sherry Kerlin (Nueva York) se basa en las muchas facetas de la condición humana. Examina tanto el mundo físico como el metafísico. Su trabajo incluye narrativas del pasado y del presente, que pueden dar juego, humorísticas, u oscuras y misteriosas. Te hace sentir como si estuvieras viendo las imágenes a través de una niebla de memoria.

Sherry Kerlin asistió al Instituto de Arte de Chicago y completó su BFA en el Instituto de Arte de Kansas City, en Kansas City en 1966. Kerlin ha estado exhibiendo su trabajo desde 1981 en Nueva York y en todo Estados Unidos.

Recibió una beca en 1995 de la New York Foundation for the Arts, y en 1992 recibió una residencia en MacDowell Colony en Peterborough, New Hampshire. Desde entonces, expone de forma constante en grandes galerías de arte de Nueva York.

Mis pinturas y dibujos están dedicados a mi búsqueda sin fin de las narrativas que se encuentran debajo de lo que parece ser la superficie de hormigón inmutable de la realidad. He experimentado que cada circunstancia tiene muchas capas. Estoy tratando de lograr la tarea aparentemente imposible y contradictoria de pintar lo que no se puede ver sino intuir. He renunciado a tratar de conocer la única “verdad” exacta y he descubierto el placer del misterio. Pinto en un estilo lírico difuso y suave que pretende imitar la naturaleza transitoria de un objeto o una figura. Muchas de las pinturas se hacen en blanco y negro en un intento de doblar la realidad a otro nivel perceptivo.

Cada pintura suele estar confinada a un enfoque en uno o dos objetos con el fin de explorar más plenamente sus mundos únicos. La escala de la obra es pequeña para crear una sensación de intimidad. Estos elementos formales están ahí para apoyar mi sentido de la narrativa: el alma de mi obra.”

Sherry Kerlin’s work is built around the many facets of the human condition. She examines both the physical and the metaphysical world. Her work includes narratives from the past and the present day, which can be playful and humorous or dark and mysterious. You feel as if you are viewing the images through a mist of memory.

Sherry Kerlin is from Oklahoma, and now lives and works in New York City. She attended the Chicago Art Institute and completed her BFA at the Kansas City Art Institute, in Kansas City in 1966. Kerlin has been exhibiting her work since 1981 in New York and throughout the United States. She received a Grant in 1995 from the New York Foundation for the Arts, and in 1992 she received a residency at the MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire.

“My paintings and drawings are dedicated to my unending search for the narratives that lie beneath what appears to be the immutable concrete surface of reality. I have experienced that every circumstance has many layers to it. I am trying to achieve the seemingly impossible and contradictory task of painting that which cannot be seen but intuited. I have given up trying to know the one exact “truth” and discovered the pleasure of the mystery. I paint in a diffused, soft lyrical style that is meant to mimic the transitory nature of an object or a figure. Many of the paintings are done in black and white in an attempt to bend reality to another perceptual level. Each painting is usually confined to a focus on one or two objects in order to more fully explore their unique worlds. The scale of the work is small to create a sense of intimacy. These formal elements are there to support my sense of narrative—the soul of my work.”

(1977, Busturia, Bizkaia, País Vasco). La obra de Lideku ha sido expuesta en diversas galerías del País Vasco además de en Murcia, tanto en Galería Léucade como en Galería El Punto Rojo. Ha sido seleccionada para importantes concursos como el BMW y su obra ha sido adquirida por museos como el Museo Euskal Herria de Gernika-Lumo (Bizkaia) o el Museo Europeo de Arte Moderno MEAM de Barcelona.

“

Entiendo la creación artística como un espacio de expresión y reflexión, no sólo crítica sino también catártica. Con mi obra pretendo poner en relieve aquellos rasgos sociales y culturales que configuran un tratamiento de la mujer que ha determinado y justificado una discriminación estructural continuada a lo largo de la historia. Por ello, someto imágenes de mujeres a distintos recursos retóricos, rompiendo, manipulando y componiendo enunciados que dejan ver algunas de las paradojas e injusticias que conlleva ser mujer en esta sociedad.

En esta serie de obras, pinto mujeres de frente al espectador pero cuyas caras no podemos ver por completo ya que hay elementos incómodos sobre ellas, que dificultan tanto la visión de la retratada como la del espectador. Estos elementos están introducidos de forma “agresiva”sobre la imagen previamente pintada, cosidos, bordados, pinchados, o el lienzo agujereado o rasgado, como si de un muñeco vudú se tratara. Y representan, en su mayoría, símbolos religiosos o culturales, que forman parte de nuestra educación, y que, en mi opinión, son responsables de esa invisibilidad.”

For this reason, I subject images of women to different rhetorical resources, breaking, manipulating and composing statements that reveal some of the paradoxes and injustices of being a woman in this society.

In this series of works, I paint women in front of the spectator but whose faces we cannot see completely as there are uncomfortable elements about them, which make it difficult to see both the woman portrayed and the spectator. These elements are introduced “aggressively” over the previously painted image, sewn, embroidered, punctured, or the canvas pierced or torn, as if it were a voodoo doll. And they represent, for the most part, religious or cultural symbols, which form part of our education, and which, in my opinion, are responsible for this invisibility”.

(Vitoria-Gasteiz, Álava). Reside en Barcelona donde compagina su labor de profesor de Fotografía con la producción de obras personales. Su trabajo ha sido seleccionado en diferentes festivales internacionales como el Voies Off Awards en Arles (Francia), Solar Foto Festival en Fortaleza (Brasil) o Addis Foto Fest en Addis Abeba (Etiopía). En 2020 es uno de los ganadores ganadores del Helsinki Photo Festival (Finlandia) y del OpenWalls Arles (Francia).

Creo mundos visuales donde aparecen personas que interactúan en espacios íntimos. En territorios acotados donde explorar nuestra identidad. Lugares donde mostrar nuestra fragilidad. La dualidad permanente en la que vivimos: el conflicto entre lo que aparentamos ser y nuestro verdadero yo. Sitúo el foco en el momento en que consciencia e inconsciencia se encuentran, donde realidad y ficción difuminan su frontera y conviven en la mente en una recreación de dos mundos paralelos que conforman nuestra esencia. Mi motivación es seguir explorando nuevos paisajes emocionales. Escenificaciones de la extrañeza, de los dramas cotidianos ocultos en la existencia suburbana.

La serie Insomnia explora mi experiencia personal con el insomnio, donde la interrupción del ritual biológico del sueño nocturno da paso a un nuevo territorio de confluencias. El momento en que consciencia e inconsciencia se encuentran, donde realidad y ficción difuminan sus límites y conviven en la mente en una recreación de dos mundos paralelos que conforman nuestra identidad. La transición entre lo que aparentamos ser y nuestro verdadero yo, que se hace visible en la intimidad. Almas en vigilia que se convierten en habitantes de un espacio-tiempo que no acostumbran a frecuentar. Personas atrapadas en vidas no deseadas, seres que tal vez intentan huir de si mismo, que se abandonan definitivamente o que deambulan sin rumbo por espacios inconcretos en una suerte de paisaje de fragilidades. Imágenes que van construyendo un mundo onírico, inquietante. Fragmentos de vida escenificados en la noche, en la complicidad de luces nocturnas de la ciudad o en la aparente calma de habitaciones anónimas.”

“I create visual worlds where people interact in intimate spaces. In limited territories where we can explore our identity. Places where we can show our fragility.

The permanent duality in which we live: the conflict between what we appear to be and our true self. I place the focus on the moment when consciousness and unconsciousness meet, where reality and fiction blur their boundaries and coexist in the mind in a recreation of two parallel worlds that make up our essence. My motivation is to continue exploring new emotional landscapes. Stages of strangeness, of everyday dramas hidden in suburban existence.

The series Insomnia explores my personal experience with insomnia, where the interruption of the biological ritual of night sleep gives way to a new territory of confluences.

Maquieira M aría “

(1985, A Coruña).

Empleo el dibujo, el grabado, el collage y la escritura como lenguajes expresivos. Fuera del papel, me gusta complementarlos con otras disciplinas como la danza, la música, el teatro: trabajo también como escenógrafa y muralista, y amplío mi lenguaje creativo en 2017 entrando a formar parte de la productora de cine independiente Annaniá films, y desde 2015, dando forma a espectáculos de música y dibujo en directo con el grupo de compositores @two faces Two Faces. Entiendo el arte como una forma de vida, y en mi caso como una unión entre todas sus disciplinas. Mi formación académica en Historia del Arte, Bellas Artes y demás capítulos de vida, ha sido entre Galicia (Universidad De Santiago de Compostela), Roma (Libera Accademia di Belle Arti), Polonia (Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts de Łódz) y Grecia. Las experiencias vitales unidas a la experimentación artística, son mis fuentes de creación. Parto de lo individual para analizar y representar aspectos de la identidad colectiva y de la naturaleza humana, nuestras emociones y esencia. Desde la introspección y a través del arte, me gusta acceder a aquello que nos define y une. Mi obra ha sido expuesta de forma tanto individual como colectiva en países como Francia, Suecia, Suiza, Polonia, Grecia o Estados Unidos, así como en España e Italia.”

María Maquieira

María Maquieira (1985, A Coruña). “I use drawing, engraving, collage and writing as expressive languages. Outside of paper, I like to complement them with other disciplines such as dance, music, theater: I also work as a set designer and muralist, and I expand my creative language in 2017 becoming part of the independent film production company Annaniá films, and since 2015, shaping live music and drawing shows with the group of composers @two faces Two Faces. I understand art as a way of life, and in my case as a union between all its disciplines My academic training in Art History, Fine Arts and other life chapters has been between Galicia (University of Santiago de Compostela), Rome (Libera Accademia di Belle Arti), Poland (Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts of Łódz) and Greece. Life experiences together with artistic experimentation are my sources of creation. I start from the individual to analyze and represent aspects of the collective identity and the to human nature, our emotions and essence.

From introspection and through art, I like to access what defines and unites us. My work has been exhibited both individually and collectively in countries such as France, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, Greece or the United States, as well as in Spain and Italy. “ María Maquieira

Desde los años 90 ha estado en ferias y galerías como la Soho Gallery de Miami, The Florida Museum of Hispanic and Latin American Art, en la galería Grushka de Polonia, o en la Feria de Arte de Tolouse, la de Innsbruck, o la de Luxemburgo entre otras. En España ha expuesto en prestigiosas galerías de Arte de la capital, y no podemos olvidar que comenzó en el mundo de la pintura a través del taller de José Ventó, completándolo con su paso por los talleres de José Hernández, Juan Genovés y Luis Gordillo.

Como características de sus obras encontramos la perfecta conjunción de líneas y colores, de dibujo y pintura; las líneas son limitaciones de manchas cromáticas y los colores configuración de superficies. El dibujante y el pintor confluyen equilibrados, no como un impresionista, donde no hay casi dibujo, ni como un expresionista, donde el cromatismo es secundario. El estilo es unísono, figurativo en sus personajes y abstracto en sus fondos, que podrían parecer masas geológicas -quizá evocando el material utilizado por su madre a la hora de pintar sobre piedra- de rocas ígneas que irrumpen volcánicamente en las figuras. Sus personajes se adentran en estos mundos oníricos en los que dejan de ser los protagonistas para convertirse en esos importantísimos personajes secundarios que le dan todo el valor crucial a sus representaciones.”

Pablo Isidoro (1964, Madrid). Since the 1990s he has been to fairs and galleries such as the Soho Gallery in Miami, The Florida Museum of Hispanic and Latin American Art, the Grushka Gallery in Poland, and the Art Fair in Toulouse, Innsbruck, and Luxembourg, among others. In Spain he has exhibited in prestigious art galleries in the capital, and we cannot forget that he began in the world of painting through the workshop of José Ventó, completing it with his time in the workshops of José Hernández, Juan Genovés and Luis Gordillo.

“As characteristics of his works we find the perfect conjunction of lines and colours, of drawing and painting; the lines are limitations of chromatic stains and the colours configuration of surfaces. The draftsman and the painter converge in balance, not like an impressionist, where there is almost no drawing, nor like an expressionist, where chromatism is secondary. The style is unison, figurative in its characters and abstract in its backgrounds, which could appear to be geological masses - perhaps evoking the material used by his mother when painting on stone - of igneous rocks that erupt volcanically into the figures. His characters enter these dream worlds in which they are no longer the main characters but become those very important secondary characters that give all the crucial value to their representations”.

Extremeña de origen, nacida en Tornavacas (Cáceres), en el seno de una familia amante del arte y de artistas, Consuelo Hernández es considerada representativa pintora española figurativa dentro de la corriente del Realismo, incluida entre los más destacados artistas plásticos españoles contemporáneos.

Con una extensa trayectoria de exposiciones nacionales e internacionales su obra se ha exhibido en numerosas ferias y festivales de arte: Chicago, Hong Kong, Singapur, París, La Haya, Madrid, Y en las salas del Instituto Cervantes de Tánger, Rabat, Casablanca, Fez y Tetuán (Marruecos).

En 2012 presentó selección de pinturas en el Present’Art Festival internacional, Contemporary art, que se exhibió en la Biblioteca Nacional de Shanghái Pudong y en el CEIBS de Shanghái (China).

Sus exposiciones internacionales continuaron en 2013 en la Bridge gallery de Pekín y en Shenzhen (China), así como en la Gallery-M de Viena (Austria), en el Wison Art Museum y en el Global Harbor de Shanghái (China). Igualmente sus exposiciones individuales y colectivas continuaron en galerías y espacios de arte españoles. Cabe destacar la exposición retrospectiva, “Memorias pintadas”, que durante los meses de julio y agosto de 2015 la Diputación de Salamanca organizó en el Palacio de la Salina. Destacan también las exposiciones individuales celebradas en el Palacio de la Isla de Cáceres (2017) y la del Museo de Móstoles (Madrid) durante los meses de abril -mayo de 2018. Y en especial la gran muestra individual celebrada en el mes de agosto de 2020, en el centro Casa de Vacas, parque del Retiro, Madrid. Con una gran repercusión y acogida por parte del público y de los medios de comunicación.

Consuelo Hernández. Extremeña, was born in Tornavacas (Cáceres), in a family that loves art and artists. Consuelo Hernández is considered to be a representative figurative Spanish painter within the current of Realism, included among the most outstanding contemporary Spanish plastic artists.

With an extensive trajectory of national and international exhibitions, her work has been shown in numerous art fairs and festivals: Chicago, Hong Kong, Singapore, Paris, The Hague, Madrid, and in the halls of the Cervantes Institute in Tangiers, Rabat, Casablanca, Fez and Tétouan (Morocco).

(1972, Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz).

Mi obra es una pintura realista y sobre todo contemporánea, a través de la renovación de paisajes, objetos y líquidos.

Contiene un especial tratamiento de la luz, color y transparencias creando una atmosfera inspirada en mi procedencia en las tierras del sur de Andalucía latentes en mis cuadros. Mi mirada, pensamientos, mano y manera de ver la vida, crean un continuo mundo visible a través de mis obras teniendo la capacidad de metamorfosis, donde nace un espacio visual que constituye la magia en mi pintura.

El trabajo realizado en mi taller y la inspiración con el mundo de las transparencias y las atmosferas de mis paisajes, es parte principal de la obra que llevo desarrollando durante muchos años. En esta ocasión presento una serie de obras de objetos y que suelo culminar con un sello propio realizado con la técnica de la “encáustica” como parte integrante de mi obra, mezclando materiales clásicos como es el óleo sobre tela y la cera de la encáustica, técnica que se remonta a la época de los griegos y egipcios.

En la actualidad fusiono diferentes materiales buscando texturas y efectos para dar más creatividad a mi obra.”

“My work is a realistic and above all contemporary painting, through the renovation of landscapes, objects and liquids.

It contains a special treatment of light, colour and transparencies creating an atmosphere inspired by my origin in the lands of southern Andalusia which are latent in my paintings. My look, thoughts, hand and way of seeing life, create a continuous visible world through my works having the capacity of metamorphosis, where a visual space is born which constitutes the magic in my painting.

The work done in my workshop and the inspiration with the world of transparencies and the atmospheres of my landscapes, is the main part of the work I have been developing for many years. On this occasion I present a series of works of objects and that I usually culminate with my own stamp made with the technique of “encaustic” as an integral part of my work, mixing classic materials such as oil on canvas and encaustic wax, a technique that dates back to the time of the Greeks and Egyptians.

At present I am fusing different materials looking for textures and effects to give more creativity to my work”.

B egoña Monge

(1965, Madrid). Comenzó su formación artística vinculada al taller de Amelia Esteban. A lo largo de su carrera ha realizado diferentes exposiciones de carácter individual y colectivo principalmente en galerías de arte y espacios culturales de Madrid además de en ferias de Arte como Art Collection o Room Art Fair.

Sus obras se caracterizan por la utilización de un estilo de carácter realista, en el que la figura humana posee un papel protagonista. A pesar de su técnica realista la autora siempre dota sus piezas de una atmósfera suave y vaporosa que aporta a las obras una calidez que se aleja en cierta medida de los cánones más estrictos del realismo.

Begoña Monge (1965, Madrid). She began her artistic training linked to Amelia Esteban’s studio.

Throughout her career she has had different individual and collective exhibitions mainly in art galleries and cultural spaces in Madrid as well as in Art Fairs such as Art Collection or Room Art Fair.

Her works are characterised by the use of a realistic style in which the human figure plays a leading role. In spite of her realistic technique, the author always gives her pieces a soft and vaporous atmosphere that gives the works a warmth that moves away to some extent from the strictest canons of realism.

(1975, Badajoz, Extremadura). Pintor y arquitecto. Ejerce como profesional libre. Imparte clases de dibujo y diversos talleres de pintura en galerías, academias y escuelas de arte. Son diversas las exposiciones de pintura, individuales y colectivas, que ha realizado, nacionales e internacionales. Ha obtenido diversos premios y reconocimientos a lo largo de su trayectoria. Actualmente colabora, entre otros medios, con la revista digital “Cultura Badajoz”, donde ilustra cada semana la sección “Pupitres Verdes”, así como la sección de reciente creación “Spanish Shame”. Ha ilustrado varias publicaciones, en su mayoría relacionadas con la poesía.

También trabaja en la agencia de cooperación internacional Dawning (Washington), la cual ha publicado reportajes en medios como The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, BBC News, Aljazeera o El País. En ella está realizando diversos retratos relacionados con el trabajo que lleva a cabo la agencia en distintos lugares del mundo. Solo en los últimos tres años ha sido seleccionado o finalista en más de treinta concursos de pintura nacionales e internacionales, obteniendo en el último año diversos reconocimientos.

Vellarino (1975, Badajoz, Extremadura).

Painter and architect. He works as a freelance professional. He gives drawing classes and various painting workshops in galleries, academies and art schools. He has had several individual and collective painting exhibitions, both national and international. He has obtained several prizes and acknowledgements throughout his career. He currently collaborates, among other media, with the digital magazine “Cultura Badajoz”, where he illustrates every week the section “Pupitres Verdes”, as well as the recently created section “Spanish Shame”. He has illustrated several publications, mostly related to poetry.

He also works at the Dawning (Washington) international cooperation agency, which has published reports in media such as The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, BBC News, Aljazeera and El País. He is currently working on various portraits related to the work carried out by the agency in different parts of the world. In the last three years alone he has been selected or finalist in more than thirty national and international painting competitions, obtaining various awards in the last year.

Mi obra llama desde el principio a la contradicción. Lo tangible, lo definido, incluso lo corpóreo, las retículas que vibran, se ondulan o se alabean según la perspectiva desde la que se contemplen; estas geometrías se sustentan realmente sobre el ánima, que descubrimos en un segundo plano que se revela sutil, ligera e imprecisa, y, sin embargo, en virtud de esa contradicción que embarga la obra, es ese plano difuso el que me parece esencial e imprescindible.”

Antonio LLanas (1962, Almería). He has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Granada and a degree in Applied Arts from the School of Applied Arts in the same city. He began his career in 1989, and since then has exhibited individually and collectively in numerous places, including the ARCO International Contemporary Art Fair, Galerie Kunst-Schatz 69, Neckarsulm, Stuttgart; Centro de Arte Museo de Almería; Palacio Euskaldún in Bilbao, Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo, Seville; Centro Cultural Lorca, Brussels; Sala al Torchio, Riva San Vitale, Switzerland and the Museu da Imagem e do Som, Braga, Portugal, among others.

“My work calls for contradiction from the beginning. The tangible, the defined, even the corporeal, the reticules that vibrate, undulate or warp according to the perspective from which they are contemplated; these geometries are really based on the soul, which we discover in a second plane that is subtle, light and imprecise, and yet, by virtue of this contradiction that pervades the work, it is this diffuse plane that seems essential and indispensable to me”.

(1993, Valencia). Graduada en Bellas Artes en la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, realiza un Máster en Producción Artística en la misma Universidad. En 2019 desarrolla su Trabajo Final de Máster en Besançon, Francia. Actualmente trabaja diversos géneros pictóricos centrándose en el tema del vacío y el pliegue.

Mi trabajo propone una invitación de paso por el recorrido de la mirada en la experiencia cotidiana, la percepción de lo que nos rodea desde un espacio sintético a la tactilidad de los pliegues. Una visión fragmentada de la realidad más cercana que surge de este modo de habitar y percibir, enfocado desde la dualidad ausencia presencia en la representación pictórica. El rastro, la huella marcada de forma física en los pliegues casi se convierte en un lenguaje táctil, un registro de movimiento físico -o quietud- susceptible a la lectura. Mediante la pintura se pretende abordar esta cuestión, reforzar estos momentos que pasan desapercibidos a través de la materia. El ámbito pictórico nos ofrece numerosos recursos para enfocar, concretar o enfatizar el tema, valiéndose de su misma plasticidad y poética.”

aura Hernández (1993, Valencia). Graduated in Fine Arts at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, he is doing a Master in Artistic Production at the same University. In 2019 he develops his Master’s Final Project in Besançon, France. He is currently working on several pictorial genres focusing on the theme of emptiness and folding.

“My work proposes an invitation to pass through the journey of the gaze in daily experience, the perception of what surrounds us from a synthetic space to the tactility of the folds. A fragmented vision of the closest reality that emerges from this way of inhabiting and perceiving, focused from the duality absence presence in the pictorial representation. The trace, the trace physically marked in the folds almost becomes a tactile language, a register of physical movement - or stillness - susceptible to reading. Through painting we intend to address this issue, to reinforce these moments that go unnoticed through matter. The pictorial field offers us numerous resources to focus, specify or emphasize the theme, using its very plasticity and poetics”.

Cuando se aprecia mi obra en su totalidad es posible darse cuenta que a pesar de los diferentes temas abarcados y de las diferentes técnicas y medios utilizados (óleos, carboncillo, grafito, tizas pastel, tinta, acrílicos) existe un factor común que es la representación realista de las imágenes. Siendo esto bastante obvio en mis obras tempranas de realismo social, el tratamiento realista en las pinturas surrealistas -como en las obras mítico-simbólicas- se vuelve una herramienta esencial para ayudar a estos temas a salir de un mundo abstracto y así ganar una legitimación como algo real que existe.

Por otro lado, la imagen de la mujer posee un significado simbólico. Ella es el enlace entre el mundo consciente y el mundo interior del inconsciente, tanto en los trabajos surrealistas como en los retratos inmersos en la oscuridad.

Estos últimos, como los otros retratos en general, son proyecciones en las que se descargan ideas arquetípicas de entidades psíquicas, es decir: son retratos simbólicos.”

Manuel Adrianzén (1977, Lima, Peru). In addition to exhibiting in his hometown, he has also taken part in exhibitions in various Spanish cities such as Madrid, Xátiva or Murcia. His works can be found in private collections in Peru, the United States, Canada, Spain, Belgium, Italy and Croatia.

“When you appreciate my work in its totality it is possible to realize that despite the different themes covered and the different techniques and media used (oils, charcoal, graphite, pastel chalk, ink, acrylics) there is one common factor which is the realistic representation of the images. This being quite obvious in my early works of social realism, the realistic treatment in the surrealist paintings -as in the mythical-symbolic worksbecomes an essential tool to help these subjects to get out of an abstract world and thus gain a legitimacy as something real that exists. On the other hand, the image of women has a symbolic meaning. She is the link between the conscious world and the inner world of the unconscious, both in surrealist works and in portraits immersed in darkness. The latter, like the other portraits in general, are projections in which archetypal ideas of psychic entities are downloaded, that is: they are symbolic portraits”.

(1977, Valencia.) Graduada en Ilustración Artística por la Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos, acabando sus estudios en la EASD de Valencia.

Diseñadora gráfica de profesión, su trabajo artístico bebe del diseño editorial y está unido al mundo literario debido a su pasión por la escritura. Elena ha participado en más de una veintena de exposiciones entre individuales y colectivas, presentando su trabajo en Huelva, Barcelona, Cantabria, Zaragoza y Valencia; preseleccionada en el XLIX Salón de Otoño “Premio Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia 2018” y en “Premio Apila Primera Edición”, por su trabajo ilustrativo. Ha estado presente en ferias y mercados de la Ilustración a nivel profesional como: FLIC en Barcelona, Ferias del libro de Valencia, Alzira, Alberic y Montcada i Reixac; así como en jornadas de ilustración JIA, JIV y el FAP de Patraix.

Muchas de mis ilustraciones nacen de textos escritos por mí o compañeras de aventuras literarias. El formato cuadrado es mi debilidad. Mi trabajo es digital e imprimo en papel o lienzo. La lluvia me llena el alma y se deja ver en gran parte de mi obra.Ilustro emociones. Me cuesta muchísimo dibujar lo que no siento y para hacerlo muchas veces utilizo metáforas visuales. No hago bocetos.

Dibujo los elementos que necesito. A modo de collage, los distribuyo sobre la página en blanco, para finalmente llegar a ese punto en el que algo me mueve por dentro y me transmite “esa” sensación, entonces ya está. Utilizo la figura femenina para transmitir lo que quiero contar. Muchas veces en mis ilustraciones se ven manos porque creo que son casi necesarias para narrar. Para mí transmitir belleza incluso donde no la hay es una forma de devolver la paz que se llevó la ira, el miedo o la rabia. Me atrae la tristeza. Para mí tiene un significado bien distinto al común.En mi paleta de colores el blanco cobra mucho protagonismo porque satisface mi necesidad de respirar, aunque en ocasiones ocurre todo lo contrario y el negro lo cubre casi todo hasta fundirse con el personaje de forma que lo oculta sutilmente, como si quisiera desaparecer.”

Elena Gromaz (1977, Valencia.) Graduated in Artistic Illustration from the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos, finishing her studies at the EASD in Valencia.

A graphic designer by profession, her artistic work is based on editorial design and is linked to the literary world due to her passion for writing. “Many of my illustrations are born from texts written by me or companions of literary adventures. The square format is my weakness. My work is digital and I print on paper or canvas. The rain fills my soul and it shows in most of my work. It is very difficult for me to draw what I do not feel and to do so I often use visual metaphors.

I do not make sketches. I draw the elements I need. As a collage, I distribute them on the blank page, to finally reach that point where something moves me inside and transmits “that” feeling, then that’s it. I use the female figure to transmit what I want to tell. Many times in my illustrations you can see hands because I think they are almost necessary to narrate. For me, transmitting beauty even where there is no beauty is a way to return the peace that was taken away by anger, fear or rage. I am attracted by sadness. For me it has a very different meaning to the common one: in my palette of colours white takes on a lot of importance because it satisfies my need to breathe, although sometimes the opposite happens and black covers almost everything until it merges with the character in such a way that it subtly hides it, as if it wanted to disappear.”

D avid Frutos Caravaca

(1983, Murcia). Sus inicios estuvieron marcados por la extensa biblioteca artística que tenía a su disposición en su vivienda familiar. Comenzó formándose de forma autodidacta, ingresando después en la academia Arlés, donde aprendió las bases del dibujo y la pintura.

Durante unos años su formación se encaminó por la rama de la ingeniería técnica y, una vez graduado, comienza Bellas Artes en Granada, trasladándose al año siguiente a Murcia, donde actualmente sigue cursando la carrera.

Sus influencias artísticas son variadas, estando sus obras plagadas de homenajes a grandes autores como Hopper, Julio Romero de Torres o Bourne Jones, pero destaca sobre todas las demás la influencia del mundo de la ilustración.

Autores como Enki Bilal, Giger, Moebius, Juan Giménez, Brom, Azpiri o Luis Royo fueron y siguen siendo grandes referencias en sus obras.

En 2015 realizó su primera exposición colectiva en la Galería Léucade junto con la asociación Ilustra de Murcia y ha participado en varias colectivas desde entonces (“Muérdago”, “Echeveria”, “Hashtag 3”). En 2018 fue seleccionado para la exposición colectiva inaugural de la Galería El Punto Rojo.

David Frutos Caravaca (1983, Murcia). His beginnings were marked by the extensive art library he had at his disposal in his family home.

He started out as a self-taught artist and later joined the Arlés Academy, where he learned the basics of drawing and painting.

For a few years he studied technical engineering and, once he graduated, he started to study Fine Arts in Granada, moving to Murcia the following year, where he is still studying.

His artistic influences are varied, his works being full of tributes to great authors such as Hopper, Julio Romero de Torres or Bourne Jones, but the influence of the world of illustration stands out above all others. Authors such as Enki Bilal, Giger, Moebius, Juan Giménez, Brom, Azpiri or Luis Royo were and still are great references in his works.

In 2015 he held his first collective exhibition at the Léucade Gallery together with the Illustrated Association of Murcia and has participated in several collective exhibitions since then (“Muérdago”, “Echeveria”, “Hashtag 3”). In 2018 he was selected for the inaugural group exhibition at the El Punto Rojo Gallery.

Á ngel Celada

(1972, Valencia). Su obra ha podido verse en grandes galerías de arte nacionales como la Galería Thema de Valencia o la Galería Herráiz de Madrid.

El trabajo que presento para Keyhole Art Fair es una nueva propuesta estética de mi línea de trabajo. Normalmente, mi metodología se basa en una superposición de capas de pintura, en las que voy dejando resquicios de lasprimeras capas y pinceladas por donde la obra va respirando y rindiendo homenaje a su propio “pasado”. Unas veces en forma de reserva consciente, otras en forma de rescate, rebajando pintura o rasgando. Tras el aparente caos, voy ordenando y componiendo la obra hasta encontrar poesía y coherencia, con cierto anhelo de sublimación, como uno de los fines últimos e íntimos.

Ahora bien, esta nueva propuesta, que es una de las ramificaciones de mi modus operandi, si bien tiene unos conectores lógicos como las tipografías descontextualizadas, el collage, o las pinceladas mixtas, supone un cambio significativo ya que se caracteriza por fondos uniformes y empastos directos y espontáneos, lo cual le confiere un carácter más desenfadado, más “amor fou”, y menos meditado y reflexivo, jugando un contrapunto interesante con el trabajo anterior. Probablemente este arranque de energía tenga que ver con esta incertidumbre que nos ha tocado vivir este infausto 2020.”

Ángel Celada.

Ángel Celada (1972, Valencia). His work has been seen in large national art galleries such as the Galería Thema in Valencia and the Galería Herráiz in Madrid.

“The work I present for Keyhole Art Fair is a new aesthetic proposal of my line of work. Normally, my methodology is based on a superimposition of layers of paint, in which I leave traces of the first layers and brushstrokes through which the work breathes and pays homage to its own “past”. Sometimes in the form of a conscious reserve, other times in the form of a rescue, lowering paint or tearing it. After the apparent chaos, I order and compose the work until I find poetry and coherence, with a certain yearning for sublimation, as one of the ultimate and intimate aims. However, this new proposal, which is one of the ramifications of my modus operandi, although it has some logical connections such as decontextualised typographies, collage, or mixed brushstrokes, is a significant change as it is characterised by uniform backgrounds and direct and spontaneous fillings, which gives it a more casual character, more “amor fou”, and less meditated and reflective, playing an interesting counterpoint to the previous work. Probably this outburst of energy has to do with the uncertainty that we have had to live through this unhappy 2020”. Ángel Celada.

Ha sido partícipe de exposiciones de alto prestigio, entre ellas la primera exposición de un museo español dedicado a dar visibilidad a la comunidad LGTBI+ (Una mirada LGTBI+ a la Colección del MEAM), la primera exposición dedicada a mujeres artistas contemporáneas en España (Mujeres Artistas Hoy 17, MEAM), y ha esta destacada entre las mejores artistas figurativas de Colombia. Sofía Zuluaga es una pintora figurativa viviendo y trabajando en Barcelona, España. Sus temas de exploración giran en torno a una sensación de incitación a la rebelión contra nuestro condicionamiento social; las narrativas que determinan quién y qué tiene derecho a ser cada individuo. En sus series pasadas, como In Circum Morbi, utiliza el erotismo como vehículo de representación para exponer la ironía que es nuestra identidad contemporánea, y tienta al espectador a liberarse de su canon moral. Ella ha creado un reino, su propio circo oscuro, en el que destaca cuán sórdida puede ser la humanidad mientras es guiada por fuerzas de las que rara vez somos conscientes. Utiliza colores vibrantes en medio de temas difíciles, lo que aumenta la paradoja de todo. De esta manera, Sofía crea tensión en el espectador, con el único propósito de empujar a su audiencia a cuestionarse y aceptar quiénes son realmente.

Sofia Zuluaga is a figurative painter living and working in Barcelona, Spain. Her themes of exploration revolve around a sense of inciting rebellion against our social conditioning; the narratives determining who and what each individual is entitled to be. In her current series, In Circum Morbi, she utilized sex as a vehicle of representation to expose the irony that is our contemporary identity, tempting the viewer to break free from their moral cannon. She has created a realm, her very own dark circus, in which she highlights how sordid humanity can be whilst guided by forces that we are seldom aware of. She utilizes vibrant colors amidst difficult themes, heightening the paradox of it all. In this fashion, Sofia creates tension in the spectator, with the sole purpose of pushing her audience to question and coming to terms with who they really are.

(1985, Madrid). Fue nombrado artista novel del año 2014 por Artelista y el artista con mejor previsión de rentabilidad para invertir durante la temporada 2014-2015. Sus obras han podido verse en diversas galerías de Arte y Museos como la Galería Artelibre de Zaragoza o el Museu Europeo de Arte Moderno (MEAM). Han sido ganador y finalista de grandes certámenes como el Modportrait o el Figurativas entre otros.

Cuando pienso en mi trabajo me veo relacionando ideas y materia en torno a un origen concreto que, como un imán esférico, atrae cualquier objeto metálico a su paso; mi trabajo entonces sólo consiste en hacerlo rodar. De ese modo, las “imágenes” se vinculan no mediante la lógica, sino más bien por unión de rimas plásticas, conjugaciones ordenadas con la deliberada intención de que no lo parezcan. Distorsiones que no soy capaz de racionalizar; de entender, pero que, sin embargo, veo a mi alrededor e intento transmitir en mi obra, tal vez porque no se hacerlo de otra forma. Quizás el retrato me resulta tan cautivador porque hay algo en las facciones humanas, en los gestos, el lenguaje, que de alguna forma oculta veladamente todo su ser; y si miras con los ojos entornados puedes verlos desnudos, con sus secretos y sus cicatrices.

Tratar de descubrirlos mediante la libre asociación de ideas que permite mi trabajo me parece fascinante y cautivador. No me interesa mucho la realidad y sin embargo estoy totalmente seducido por la verdad.”

Adrián GoMa (1985, Madrid). He was named new artist of the year 2014 by Artelista and the artist with the best profitability forecast to invest during the 2014-2015 season. His works have been exhibited in various art galleries and museums such as the Artelibre Gallery in Zaragoza and the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM).

They have been winners and finalists in major competitions such as Modportrait or Figurativas, among others.

“When I think about my work I see myself relating ideas and matter around a specific origin which, like a spherical magnet, attracts any metallic object in its path; my work then just consists of rolling it. In this way, the “images” are linked not by logic, but rather by the union of plastic rhymes, ordered conjugations with the deliberate intention that they should not appear so. Distortions that I am not capable of rationalizing; of understanding, but that, nevertheless, I see around me and try to transmit in my work, perhaps because I do not know how to do it otherwise. Perhaps I find the portrait so captivating because there is something in the human features, in the gestures, in the language, that somehow veils their whole being; and if you look with half-closed eyes you can see them naked, with their secrets and their scars. Trying to discover them through the free association of ideas that my work allows seems to me fascinating and captivating. I am not very interested in reality and yet I am totally seduced by the truth”.

A marna Miller

La obra de Amarna Miller (1990, Madrid) es principalmente fotográfica, jugando con la imprevisibilidad técnica y haciendo especial hincapié en retratar el ruido del momento a través de cámaras desechables y polaroids. Se siente cómoda en la investigación del dibujo, el videoarte y la mezcla de metodologías artísticas.

Durante años, su alter ego ha sido Marina Manot. Estudió Bellas Artes en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, la Santa Fe University of Art and Design en Nuevo México y la Universidad Europea de Madrid. Tras graduarse comenzó un viaje sin destino alrededor del mundo. Finalmente en el año 2015 se traslada a Los Ángeles, donde vivió de forma nómada en su furgoneta mientras se recorría el país.

Lleva ocho años estudiando el uso del cuerpo como arma de acción política.

Obsesionada con el poder del ahora y la necesidad de existir en el momento presente, toma como punto de partida aquello que la rodea para investigar la relación del individuo con su contexto. La interacción con los otros, la reinterpretación de lugares conocidos, el placer de lo instantáneo y el análisis de los límites entre los espacios públicos y privados son puntos clave en su producción artística.

En el 2015 publica “Manual de Psiconáutica” con la editorial Lapsus Calami.

En él desarrolla la idea de la lírica visual mezclando textos en clave poética con fotografías analógicas.

En su tiempo libre planea cómo conquistar el mundo.

Amarna Miller Amarna Miller’s (1990, Madrid) work is mainly photographic, playing with technical unpredictability and placing special emphasis on portraying the noise of the moment through disposable cameras and polaroids. She is comfortable in the investigation of drawing, video art and the mixing of artistic methodologies.

For years, her alter ego has been Marina Manot. She studied Fine Arts at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, the Santa Fe University of Art and Design in New Mexico and the Universidad Europea de Madrid. After graduating she began a journey around the world without destination.

Finally in 2015 she moved to Los Angeles, where she lived in a nomadic way in her van while touring the country.

She has been studying the use of the body as a weapon of political action for eight years.

Obsessed with the power of the now and the need to exist in the present moment, she takes as her starting point what surrounds her to investigate the relationship of the individual with his context.

The interaction with others, the reinterpretation of known places, the pleasure of the instantaneous and the analysis of the limits between public and private spaces are key points in her artistic production.

In 2015 she publishes “Manual de Psiconáutica” with the publishing house Lapsus Calami. In it she develops the idea of visual lyrics by mixing texts in a poetic key with analogical photographs.

In her spare time she plans how to take over the world.

J ose Juan Botella

(1978, Orihuela, Alicante) es artista plástico y profesor de escultura.

Desde muy joven sintió una gran fascinación por las acuarelas, oleos y esculturas que su padre realizaba en su taller. Fue allí precisamente, a manos de su primer maestro, donde Jose Juan realizó sus primeros dibujos y donde comenzó a desarrollar un apasionado interés por las artes plásticas.

Estudió escultura y dibujo en las Facultades de Bellas Artes de Madrid, Valencia y Palermo, de las que obtuvo la licenciatura en 2004. Posteriormente amplió su formación en otros centros de enseñanzas y oficios artísticos.

Desde 1999 viene mostrando su obra en ferias, galerías de arte y otras instituciones. También ha participado en encuentros de arte y simposios de escultura nacionales e internacionales. Su trabajo ha recibido diferentes galardones, como el Premio Senyera de Escultura, otorgado por el Ayuntamiento de Valencia o el Premio Flechazo, concedido en la Feria de Arte Contemporáneo FLECHA. Su obra reciente explora plásticamente la relación entre la escultura y el dibujo a través de la sombra.

Jose Juan Botella (1978, Orihuela, Alicante) is a plastic artist and sculpture teacher.

From a very young age he felt a great fascination for the watercolors, oils and sculptures that his father made in his workshop. It was precisely there, at the hands of his first teacher, where Jose Juan made his first drawings and where he began to develop a passionate interest in the plastic arts.

He studied sculpture and drawing at the Faculties of Fine Arts in Madrid, Valencia and Palermo, from which he obtained a degree in 2004. Later, he expanded his training in other teaching centers and artistic trades.

Since 1999 he has been showing his work at fairs, art galleries and other institutions. He has also participated in national and international art meetings and sculpture symposia. His work has received different awards, such as the Senyera Sculpture Prize, awarded by the Valencia City Council or the Flechazo Prize, awarded at the FLECHA Contemporary Art Fair.

His recent work plastically explores the relationship between sculpture and drawing through shadow.

P edro Cano

(1944, Blanca) empezó a pintar a los once años. Al cumplir diecinueve se trasladó a Madrid e ingresó en la Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, donde tuvo, entre otros, a profesores como Antonio López García y Juan Barjola. En 1969 consiguió una beca por oposición para pasar tres años en la Academia de España en Roma. Pasada esta temporada se trasladó a Anguillara, un pequeño pueblo a las afueras de Roma, donde sigue viviendo habitualmente cuando está en Italia. Ha expuesto en numerosas salas públicas y privadas en Europa y América y posee obra en el Museo Vaticano, en la Galleria degli Uffizi en Florencia y en el Meadows Museum en Dallas.

Durante los años 80 vivió durante cinco años en Nueva York, aunque nunca ha dejado de regresar a menudo a su pueblo en la provincia de Murcia.

De Pedro Cano han escrito personalidades como Alfonso Pérez Sánchez, Maurizio Calvesi, Predrag Matvejevich, Juan Manuel Bonet y Lorenza Trucchi.

“Pedro Cano (1944, Blanca) began painting at the age of eleven. When he was nineteen he moved to Madrid and entered the San Fernando Superior School of Fine Arts, where he had, among others, teachers such as Antonio López García and Juan Barjola. In 1969 he got a competitive scholarship to spend three years at the Spanish Academy in Rome. After this season he moved to Anguillara, a small town on the outskirts of Rome, where he continues to live regularly when he is in Italy.

He has exhibited in numerous public and private rooms in Europe and America and has works in the Vatican Museum, the Galleria degli Uffizi in Florence and the Meadows Museum in Dallas. During the 1980s he lived for five years in New York, although he has never stopped returning often to his town in the province of Murcia.
