Jeneece Place: Thank you to all the key clubbers who came and helped bake cookies for the children and families residing at Jeneece Place. Jeneece place is a home where children and their families can stay at while receiving medical care in Victoria. While there, members got a tour of the place, as well as the opportunity to meet some of the families and kids. This is a great tradition that will be remembered for many years to come.
Staff’ Kids Christmas Party This year, in the spirit of giving back, Claremont’s Key Club and the Claremont staff organization an event in which the staff’s children could come and spend an afternoon at Claremont. Ten key club members volunteered and were responsible for helping out at the many christmas themed stations. These stations included: helping decorate cookies, craft making, a bouncy castle, and a LEGO building station. Thank you to everyone who participated!
Locker Wrapping Keeping up with the tradition of making our school look more festive, we once again participated in Claremont’s annual locker wrapping fundraiser. Each locker (and in some cases doors) cost a total of $2 to wrap, and was wrapped by a Key club member. This was truly an amazing way to bring some colour to our school in honour of the holidays.
Recycling As always, Key Club’s recycling program happens every friday after school. We meet in the math wing under the whale skeleton. It is an amazing way to build up your volunteer hours and a great way to contribute to the community. Thank you to everyone who came and helped out!
