Lockheed Martin in Jefferson County

Kevin McCasky With a focus on public-private partnerships to strengthen Jefferson County’s economy, Kevin McCasky understands the importance of Lockheed Martin’s Waterton Canyon Campus and its capacity for job creation. This new facility, which will create 1,500 contract jobs, will specifically focus on satellite production to lower costs and increase production while accommodating a growing workforce.

Kevin McCasky The Gateway Center, one of the largest facilities on the campus, is planned to be completed by 2020, and it will be large enough to fit five AS100 satellites simultaneously. The facilities are planned to be innovative and efficient in order to cut costs, a necessity considering the general pressure to lower costs due to federal spending. Additionally, all machinery will be assembled and tested in this facility in order to streamline operations by cutting out packing and unpacking time.

Kevin McCasky More than 750 jobs have been created since 2014 by Lockheed Martin, and over the next eight years, 550 new jobs will open up in Jefferson County.

Kevin McCasky Kevin McCasky is dedicated to job growth in Jefferson County, having served as the county commissioner as well as the president and CEO of Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation. He understands the importance of using all avenues possible to create more economic opportunity for the residents of his county. He is an avid volunteer and enjoys giving back to his community.
