Our most beloved readers, on behalf of the editorial team, it is a pleasure
to present the eleventh issue of the Ombudsman Newsletter.
In this edition, we highlight the Huduma Ombudsman Award Edition
Ceremony which was held on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the
Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). During the event
presided over by Cabinet Secretary, Ministry for Public Service,
Performance and Delivery Management, sixteen exemplary public
officers and five institutions were recognised in the Public Service Delivery
Category, while three institutions stood out in the Access to Information
Category.
The Commission also undertook prison visits at the Manyani Maximum
Security prison and the Industrial Area Remand and Allocation Prison
where it sensitised the inmates and prison officers on its mandate and
received complaints.
The Commission continued righting administrative wrongs through
