Over one hundred family members, former students, friends and colleagues celebrated the career of Dr. W.L. Magnuson at the Owensboro Country Club on April 28 with shared memories and expressions of gratitude. Dr. Magnuson retired at the end of the spring semester after 49 years as a Wesleyan chemistry professor. Thanks to many generous contributors, the Magnuson Scholars Program will provide scholarships to chemistry students in perpetuity. A total of $281,250 has been raised to date, exceeding the $250,000 goal.
