4-H State President
4-H Vice President
4-H State Secretary
Hey Kentucky, 4-H, I am Callie Derossett and I am more than excited to be serving each and everyone of you this year as State President! State office has truly been a goal of mine since I was just nine years old. I have grown up showing livestock since I was three so I have always seen the green jackets “making the best better.” I have served on the Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council and Fashion leadership boards and cannot wait to continue to work closely with all. Throughout my year of service I will strive to make deeper connections with fellow 4-Hers, stay committed to the program and share my passion for this organization I love so deeply. I hope we have the best week ever! Get excited Kentucky 4-H, I know I am!
Hello, Kentucky 4-H members! Welcome to Teen Conference. I’m sure glad you’re here! My name is Ty Jones. I live in Allen County in rural south-central Kentucky, and I have a deep passion for 4-H and agriculture. My family and I live on our diversified livestock operation where we raise cattle, sheep, pigs, and row crops. I also show sheep and pigs. When I’m not showing livestock, I enjoy the outdoors – hunting, fishing, and kayaking. I will always strive to be the very best version of myself and to “make the best better.” My goal as your Kentucky 4-H Vice President is to assist my fellow 4-H members to improve our communities and ensure a better tomorrow. Let’s have a great week!
Hello Kentucky, 4-H! My name is Maggie Drake, and I am so excited to serve as your 2024-2025 Kentucky 4-H State Secretary! I have been in 4-H for almost 10 years. 4-H has done so much for me throughout my life, and I am so blessed to be able to give back to this program as a State Officer. 4-H programs such as leadership, communications, and performing arts have shaped both my 4-H experience and me as a person. This organization has made me a better leader, a stronger speaker, and a more confident team member. This year, I cannot wait to meet all of the amazing young leaders that make Kentucky 4-H so amazing! I also hope to build connections and share my love of 4-H with everyone I meet! I’m so excited for Teen Conference, and I hope you are too!
Welcome to Teen Conference! I am Leonora Hanley, your 20242025 State Treasurer. If you had told my nine-year-old self, as she struggled with her first 4-H project—scrubbing mold off her country ham, feeling confused (and slightly grossed out)—that she would go on to do Communication contests, go to camp, start a club, be a live stock officer, be a State Teen Council member, eventually fall in love with the country ham project, and now this, become a State officer, she simply would not have believed it. But that is what makes 4-H so incredible; it offers endless opportunities even as your interests evolve. As I step into this new chapter, my platform, and my entire outlook, is to “Reignite the Spark of Kentucky 4-H,” which aims to celebrate and amplify the passion and pride that make our community unique. My goal as your 4-H State Treasurer this year is to help each of you find your spark, your passion in 4-H, and then help your dreams grow to make Kentucky 4-H’s fire burn brighter than ever before! Thank you, Kentucky 4-H!
Hello, everyone, I am so honored to be able to serve each and every one of you this year as the state reporter. I have grown up in 4-H, starting at the Cloverbud level, and ever since that first meeting, I have had a passion for the organization and the meaning of the coveted green jacket. Over the years I have actively participated in numerous clubs, competed at state and national contests, and served in many offices and numerous councils and committees. 4-H has truly laid the foundation for leadership in my life, and I am so excited to be able to give back with a year of service. Just like seeds need nutrients to germinate, younger 4-Hers need nutrients, such as nurturing and mentor-ship from older members. My goal is for older members to supply the nutrients so that the seeds (younger members) can grow in 4-H!

4-H State President
Avery Cole
4-H Vice President
Hey, Kentucky 4-H! It’s been a joy to serve as your State President this year. My term has been marked by growth, celebration, illumination, and edification, and that is solely because of you! I have loved getting to know the individuals that make up our great program and hope that the future will bring Kentucky 4-H nothing but growth and prosperity. Thank you for letting me be a piece in your picture, Kentucky 4-H. Here’s to an amazing year!” The officer team has also selected “My Wish” by the Rascal Flats for our song to hang up jackets to and we have picked Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now) by Bob Sinclar for our entry song. Lastly, we would like for the cry circle to be held on Monday evening at conference.
Hello, my name is Avery Cole, and I am the 2023-2024 Kentucky 4-H State Vice President. I am a Warren County native and I have been a member of 4-H for the past 10 years. It has been such an honor to represent the members of Kentucky 4-H during my time in office. My year of service has allowed me to give back to the organization that has done so much for me, and for that I could not be more grateful. I have enjoyed traveling the Commonwealth and learning from members across the state. Now, I would like to welcome you all to the 100th Kentucky 4-H Teen Conference! This event provides a wonderful opportunity to meet people from all over the state and form valuable friendships, so make the most of it!
Kailyn Stokes
4-H State Reporter
Hello Kentucky 4-H and welcome to the 100th Anniversary of Teen Conference. From the west area and Crittenden County, I am Kailyn Stokes, your current Kentucky 4-H State Reporter! It has been a dream come true to serve all of you, and how lucky I am to have gotten to illuminate Kentucky 4-H across the Commonwealth this year. Like many of you, my 4-H story began with a trip to 4-H camp and the Country Ham Project, which opened a world of opportunities for me. From Fleming County, to Ballard County, and everywhere in between I have had the honor of sharing your stories, meeting your smiling faces, and encouraging you in your journeys, and it will never be lost on me how special of a year we have had together. As my favorite week commences, I challenge you to step out of your comfort zones, lead with your hearts, embrace the little moments, and celebrate each other loudly. Kentucky 4-H, you will forever be my favorite story to tell.
Hello Kentucky 4-H! My name is Kenzie Owens and I am your current State Secretary. I am from Carter County, and like many of you I grew up in 4-H from the age of five beginning with Cloverbuds . It is hard to explain what this program means to me, it has shaped me into the person I am and gave me incredible opportunities.
This year I have had the opportunity to travel all over the state and meet 4-H’ers and agents who are dedicated to Kentucky 4-H and making the best better. In ways I have enjoyed Kentucky 4-H’ers journeys that I have witnessed this year more then my own, I beam with pride over their accomplishments and dedication and I know they will grow into incredible leaders. My motto this year has been If I have impacted even one 4-H’er if I have made a difference in one 4-H’er life or motivated them to do something they never would have done without being motivated then all of the hard work and sacrifices I have made this year is worth it.
As my year comes to a close I want to encourage all of you to make the most of your week, try new things, and make new friends. Kentucky 4-H thank you for an incredible year, it is just goodnight not goodbye.
4-H
State TreasurerMy year as a officer has given me skills I didn’t even know I needed, it has helped me see the world in new eyes, make new friendships and have a wonderful caring team that I have worked with and who has done nothing but show me kindness and support, I am so beyond thankful and blessed for this program and the opportunities that it has given me. 4-H has made me such as better person and has put a spark in my heart that I can’t wait to pass down to other youth and upcoming generations and help them on there 4-H journey. If I could give anyone just one bit of advice it would be don’t overthink or be sacred, just be yourself because I know that your already amazing and that your off to great things. Being a KY state 4-H officer is so much more then just having a title is that your officially a role model for all of Kentucky and more. And it’s such a honor and privilege to have been able to serve!! It was my dream to wear that green jacket and could not have been happier. Thank you Kentucky 4-H and I’ll see you soon!
