Each week, small groups of students and faculty come together to participate in a PEAK Program (Principles, Ethics, and Action at Kents Hill) workshop. Together, they explore their own values, engage with people who think and believe differently, and begin to positively impact their immediate and larger community.

Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Belonging is real. From the moment that they step onto campus for orientation, students and faculty have meaningful, complex, and essential conversations around race and issues of societal inequality while developing the tools to become part of an anti-racist school.

Are you stretched or stressed?

We’ve designed our daily schedule to combine academic rigor and reflection. Classes start at 9 a.m. with one hour for lunch.

Three 30-minute long X-Block periods each week allow time to study and catch up, while three different club periods allow you to develop leadership skills and dive into what you really care about.

3 p.m. Winter Wellness This afternoon activity is for people who don’t particularly have a sport they play in the winter. We either do yoga or go snowshoeing. Our coach is pretty open to any suggestions on what to do for our afternoon activities.

5:30 p.m. Dinner in the Dining Commons.

After dinner, I stay in the Commons to talk to friends.

Our First-Year Arts Seminar is the first step of your creative journey. This year-long experience introduces students to the basic foundations of visual and performing arts, including Ceramics, Woodworking, and Drawing and Painting. From there, they have the opportunity to select from over 20 courses and electives to explore.

The Learning Skills Program combines curriculum-based tutoring with social-emotional awareness to help students thrive in all aspects of school life, ensuring that they are prepared to tackle college and beyond with self-confidence, selfdetermination, and self-advocacy.

10 a.m. B Period Honors Pre-Calculus. I really enjoy this class. We are currently learning about circles and triangles.

11 a.m. Advisory Group Meeting Advisors here are different from other schools because they are more than just a person to ask questions of.

They work with us and build a strong connection with students. They work to make Kents Hill a more comfortable place.

11:30 a.m. C Period U.S. History. This class is unquestionably my favorite, although I really do love all my classes. It’s a great group of engaged students who love to learn.

12:20 p.m. Lunch Eat lunch with my friends.

1:30 p.m. D Period Honors Multicultural Literature. Our theme this year is on migration influences and factors that drive human movement across the globe and how people, both affected and not, react to these transitions.

2:30 p.m. Free time to hangout with friends – and practice piano.

3:45 p.m.

J.V. Basketball practice to work on fundamentals and scrimmage.

4:45 p.m.

Model UN Club We’re learning about the global community and debate timing/ rhetoric in preparation for the Maine Model U.N. Conference.
