Your study programme

One of our strengths lies in the wide range of modules we can offer you. You can explore everything from Egyptian hieroglyphs to daily life in the Roman Empire, from Virgil’s Aeneid to the philosophy of Aristotle and Plato. On all of our modules, you attend a weekly seminar; most of our modules also include a weekly lecture. Whether they are lecturing on classical mythology or sparking a discussion on Roman Britain, our academics are highly skilled at bringing the subject to life and drawing you into the conversation. Some modules also include a practical element. For instance in our museum/heritage studies module, you take an internship in a heritage organisation or museum. Other modules provide the chance to take part in archaeology excavations and field surveys. Student bursaries are available to support these opportunities. See our website for more details of module choices on specific degrees: www.kent.ac.uk/ug
