I am Resurrection and I am Life, says the Lord. Whoever has faith in me shall have life, even though he die. And everyone who has life, and has committed himself to me in faith, shall not die for ever.

As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives and that at the last he will stand upon the earth. After my awaking, he will raise me up; and in my body I shall see God. I myself shall see, and my eyes behold him who is my friend and not a stranger.

For none of us has life in himself, and none becomes his own master when he dies. For if we have life, we are alive in the Lord, and if we die, we die in the Lord. So, then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's possession.

Happy from now on are those who die in the Lord! So it is, says the Spirit, for they rest from their labors.

O God, who by the glorious resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ destroyed death, and brought life and immortality to light: Thank you Father that Caden, being raised with him, may know the strength of his presence, and rejoice in his eternal glory; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to John

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and

shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

PreparationoftheGifts

Blessed are You, Lord God of all creation, for through Your goodness we have received the bread we offer You: fruit of the earth and work of human hands, it will become the

Body of Christ.

People:BlessedbeGodforever.

While pouring a small amount of water into the chalice(s), the Celebrant says quietly:

By the mystery of this water and wine, may we come to share in the divinity of Christ, who humbled Himself to share in our humanity.

Then the Celebrant takes the chalice and, holding it slightly raised above the altar, says:

Blessed are You, Lord God of all creation, for through Your goodness we received the wine we offer You, fruit of the vine and work of human hands, it will become the Blood of Christ.

TheCelebrantcontinuestheprefacewithhandsextended:

Father, all powerful and ever living God, we do well always and everywhere to give You thanks through Jesus Christ our Lord.

By His birth we are reborn. In His suffering we are freed from sin. By His rising from the dead we rise to everlasting

life. In His return to You in glory we enter into Your heavenly kingdom. And so, we join the angels and the saints as they sing their unending hymn of praise:

Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of Your glory.

Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna in the highest.

EucharisticPrayerI

Lord, you are holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness. Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down Your Spirit upon them so that they may become for us the + Body and Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Before He was given up to death, a death He freely accepted, He took bread and gave You thanks. He broke the bread, gave it to His disciples, and said, Take, eat: This is My Body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.

When supper was ended, He took the cup. Again He gave You thanks and praise, gave the cup to His disciples, and said:

Drink this, all of you: This is My Blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of Me.

Let us proclaim the mystery of faith:

Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

In memory of His death and resurrection, we offer You, Father, this life-giving bread, this saving cup. We thank You for counting us worthy to stand in Your presence and serve You. Humbly we pray that, partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit. Draw our hearts to remember the poor and broken, the sick and the needy. As we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus, may we be transformed to become the Body of Christ to the world.

Lord have mercy on us all; Lord You have made us worthy to share eternal life with all the saints. May we praise You in union with them and give You glory through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Hetakesthechaliceandthehostand,liftingthemup,says:

By Him, with Him, and in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honor and glory is Yours, almighty Father, now and forever.

The people respond: AMEN.

TheCelebrantcontinues:

And now as our Savior Christ taught us, we are bold to pray…

InUnison:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

TheCommendation

TheCelebrantandotherministerstaketheirplacesatthebody.

Thank You for giving rest, O Christ, to your servant with your saints, where sorrow and pain are no more, neither sighing, but life everlasting.

You only are immortal, the creator and maker of mankind; and we are mortal, formed of the earth, and to earth shall we return. For so did you ordain when you created me, saying, "You are dust, and to dust you shall return." All of us go down to the dust; yet even at the grave we make our song: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

Thank You for giving rest, O Christ, to your servant with your saints, where sorrow and pain are no more, neither sighing, but life everlasting.

TheCelebrant,facingthebody,says

Into your hands, O merciful Savior, we commend your servant Caden. We humbly thank You for acknowledging, a sheep of your own fold, a lamb of your own flock, a sinner of your own redeeming. Thank You for Receiving him into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Amen.
