For nearly thirty years, Project Houseworks has been dedicated to changing lives, revitalizing communities, and making affordable housing a reality for everyone, not just a dream.
Today, we are driven by an ambitious vision to enhance our resources to address our community's affordable housing challenge. The Campaign for Project Houseworks aims to empower our clients, partners, and staff as we ensure that families have secure and comfortable homes where they can live as long as they wish.
Together, we can build a future where everyone can access safe and dignified living spaces.
Thanks to the support of generous donors, volunteers, staff, and a dedicated Board of Directors, we are thrilled to embark on this transformative project to preserve and create affordable housing for our community!
This is an exciting moment for Project Houseworks, and we are grateful for the opportunity to make a real difference in our community's lives.

The Campaign enhances our resources and facilities to support the growing number of families seeking affordable housing allowing us to improve access to support programs and provide tailored assistance, ensuring everyone can access stable and affordable housing.
Enhancing our team with specialized staff
Additional personnel with expertise in housing support will collaborate with Partners to provide resources aimed at eliminating barriers to affordable housing and contribute to the development of a more sustainable future for our community.
Elevating our programs to new heights
Expanding our capacity to better serve families in need of affordable housing. This expansion allows us to incorporate workforce development and social services. Our goal is to help families achieve sustainable housing and economic stability while fostering long-term community resilience.

A Resource for the entire community.
Ending the shortage of affordable homes is a goal that requires the collective effort of our entire community. By coming together, we can leverage our combined knowledge and resources to make a real difference in preserving affordable housing for older adults and creating homes for hardworking families looking to realize the dream of homeownership.
This new space will help empower our community partners to provide families with the stability they deserve, leading to improved health, better education, and stronger economic outcomes.
The entry and reception area is designed to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for all visitors.
ESTIMATED PROJECT TIMELINE
Phase I: Winter ‘23 through Summer ’24
During Phase I, two properties will be acquired, 2316 South 24th Street and 2332 South 24th Street in Omaha.
Phase II: Beginning ‘25 through Fall of ’25
Phase II kicks off with the demolition and renovation of THE Building. As Demolition begins, the team will relocate to a collaborative workspace within the Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture building guaranteeing that our work will continue seamlessly while staying connected to the campaign's progress.
Phase III: Summer ‘25
Phase III involves renovating the parking lot between 2316 South 24th Street and 2332 South 24th Street. The renovation will include regrading surfaces and pouring new asphalt to make the area more accessible and ADA-compliant.
