Why We Get Short Sales Closed  Short Sales Fail for two primary reasons. 



First, lenders determination of value is too high. 

Lenders pay starving agents $25-$50 to give them their price opinion. Agents have little incentive to be accurate and are notoriously optimistic (high) in their valuations.



The lender then thinks the offers presented are low ball and refuse to approve the sale.

Second, buyers become impatient and move on to other properties before the sale is approved. 
