Some say ‘happiness is when you have wind in your sails’ and now you can come on-board the Kelvinside Academy 32ft yacht aptly named ‘Level Best’.
She has been with the School since May 2019 and is now available for charter over the Summer & Easter holiday season to members of the KA community.
She provides a safe and comfortable sail for couples and families alike to enjoy the waters on the Upper Clyde and can be found docked at James Watt Dock Marina in Port Glasgow.
Fully coded and kitted out to make your sail as easy as possible, she is both a great yacht for day sailing and stretching further afield on overnight trips.
Accommodation is divided into two double cabins and two single settee berths in the main saloon with a separate spacious heads compartment
The galley is fully equipped for cooking on your cruise with a two-burner cooker, hot water, oven, fridge, ice freezer box and sink.
The two settees around the dining table make the most of the available space, and along with the full central heating system, create a cosy and sociable environment for relaxing in.
The yacht will be fully fuelled with water, gas and diesel
Life jackets for all are on-board for all and waterproofs are available on request.
The wheel steering and central engine throttle make 'Level Best' a dream to handle in the close confines of the marina She performs exceptionally well for her size under full sail in the typical conditions for the Clyde.
The sail wardrobe consists of a conventional single line slab reefing mainsail with lazyjack system for easy stowage and a roller reefing genoa headsail: the ultimate set-up for easy adjustment and stowage when sailing
Wind, speed and depth instrumentation is located at the helm for easy viewing, and a chart plotter is located in the saloon along with all charts, reference materials and safety kit within easy reach.
It would be great to see this wonderful asset used by many and skippered day trips are also on offer subject to availability For more details, enquiries and costs please get in touch via levelbest@kelvinside.co.uk.
