Before college, Mindy’s love for the water led her to live aboard Mate for the custom 80’ Hatteras, Sweet Distraction, up the east coast and Long Island. Her competitive nature combined with her experience were a perfect match for sports fishing. Mindy was a Top Ranked and Sponsored Angler by national brands including World Cat, winning and placing in multiple offshore fishing tournaments throughout South Florida and the Bahamas.

Prior to real estate, Susan was a Professional Equestrian Trainer in Connecticut. In addition to training her individual students, she was the Trainer for the Yale, Quinnipiac and Wesleyan Equestrian Teams. Her horses and students won numerous state awards and championships through a high level of focus and determination.

TEAM M/V ADVENTURE | Green Turtle Cay, Bahamas

Team M/V Adventure is a Humanitarian Aid Relief group that was created out of Susan’s family’s commitment to rebuilding the little Bahamian island of Green Turtle Cay. What started out as an anticipated three months personally supporting the little Bahamian island immediately after the complete devastation from the Category 5 hurricane, turned into a three year, on island commitment orchestrating the immediate disaster relief and humanitarian aid, coordinating aid from International NGOs and then restarting the commerce and rebuilding of the island businesses and homes.

After three years, the group completed their goals and returned to their hometown of Cape Coral, Florida. Three weeks following their return home, their hometown was ground zero for Category 4 Hurricane Ian’s arrival, reactivating the team, this time for their own hometown.

MMAD | Palm Beach, Florida

Movies Making A Difference is a nonprofit dedicated to reducing human trafficking in the United States. MMAD produces Award Winning feature films based on true events to raise awareness of the issues happening right in our own backyard. They believe by increasing awareness, they are “Making A Difference” and saving young men and women from the horrors of human trafficking. As of 2023, they have rescued over 200 survivors, giving them access to our support programs and welcoming them into our MMAD Family. All proceeds from our films go directly to aid survivors.

Barbara and her husband, Jack Koch, have been deeply involved in the group from its founding. The family continues to actively support MMAD, including dedicating their time on the Board, as Chairs of their Palm Beach fundraisers, and even in their films. The most recent film, Cult Cartel, is dedicated to the memory of Jack.
