SUBMIT APPLICATION

28 | UCF HOUSING AND RESIDENCE LIFE

• No student is guaranteed housing on any campus, so each student is encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

• Students must be admitted to the University, but do not need to accept their admission to apply for housing.

• If applying to live on campus for a Summer semester, an additional application must be completed to live on campus starting in the Fall. Summer housing does not guarantee housing in the Fall.

• Be sure that you research and choose what application type is best for you - requesting and completing a new application type will impact the timeline of confirmation and assignment of a room selection appointment.

• Once it opens in February, students can utilize the Roommate Matching tool on the housing portal to search for other students, message to chat, and create roommate groups.

› Students may only live with other students who have been confirmed for housing in the same agreement type. Students may not switch application types to live with certain roommates without submitting a new application.

› Students will receive an email with an appointment date and time to make their room selection.

• Students in an Academic application type will be able to choose from rooms that are currently available during their appointment time in the Hercules, Nike, Neptune, Libra, Apollo, and Lake Claire communities.

• Students in the Towers, Northview, or Rosen application types will be able to choose from rooms that are currently available during their appointment times within each community.

› All rooms are selected on a first-comefirst served basis. Students are not guaranteed their preferred community or roommates.

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is an on-campus organization which strives to provide residents with the UCF experience through programming and leadership opportunities. This organization sponsors events on campus, provides support for bettering the residence hall living experience, and holds meetings with Area Councils, which lead over each community.

An Area Council resides in each community and creates fun events for residents to attend and get involved in. Members of area council learn how to be leaders in college and work with RHA to support their fellow residents.

National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is a national organization with chapters at college campuses across the United States. This organization is composed of on-campus individuals who value service, recognition, leadership, and academics. It is unique, in that it is the only honorary organization for students living in the residence halls and one of its main charges is to recognize those individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty to improve residence life programs through programming, community service, advocacy, and leadership development.

The Office of Student Neighborhood Relations works to support students living off-campus. Whether you need resources to start your research, need to find a roommate, or just need guidance, SNR is here to help you get the most out of your UCF experience – and make Orlando your home away from home!

Students needing to find off-campus housing should start their search at ucf.offcampuspartners.com. Most listings on this website are student-focused and aim to lease to UCF students. On this website, you will be able to find your perfect fit by filtering for price, amentities, and more. There is also a roommate matching portal available for other UCF students looking to live off-campus!

We recommend searching for off-campus housing as soon and early as possible, as properties closest to UCF tend to fill up quickly. We recommend signing a lease 4 months before your desired move-in date.
