Good luck and have fun!
The philosophy of the contest is to provide students with a fun and positive experience. The adjudication process is aimed at facilitating improvement and growth for each band. These goals are accomplished in two ways: months of preparation on the part of the Lafayette Band Boosters – to whom we are eternally grateful, and the employment of some of the finest judging staff available.
The enthusiasm and dedication of the young people who participate in the musical activities is truly inspiring. The students participating today represent some of the finest young people in our community. The effort put forth by the students and directors ensures that all are winners regardless of how they finish in the competition! When young people learn to work hard together for a common goal, no one can lose.

We are so excited to be together again as we celebrate the amazing achievements of each and every one of our performers today. Once again, WELCOME to the Lafayette Contest of Champions. We hope you enjoy our competition, our facilities, and the day!
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 35th Lafayette Contest of Champions! We hope you have a great day seeing and hearing the hard work of each band.
