WHY TOPIGS NORSVIN
Topigs Norsvin utilizes an individualized selection process for customers. The Topigs Norsvin selection team, both globally and locally, is highly experienced and dedicated to the continual improvement of our products.
Boars are selected using a balanced approach. They must first pass an 11-point structure evaluation before their genetic merit is considered. Continual monitoring by our selection team takes place to ensure the structure and genetic merit of the boar is acceptable for semen dose production.
All boars are off-tested and genotyped. The application of genomics and innovative technologies, such as CT scanning, increase the accuracy of breeding values and accelerate the rate of genetic progress for reproductive, growth, composition, and meat quality.
