2018 marks the ten year anniversary of Kelbourne Woolens and we are celebrating this milestone with a variety of exciting new products for you!

We are delighted to introduce our third Kelbourne Woolens yarn, Mojave, to the market. Our years of crafting, working in yarn shops, speaking with our wholesale customers, and meeting thousands of knitters and crocheters at workshops, events, and book signings has inspired us to create a line of yarns with one idea in mind:

Mojave Collection Meghan Kelly

Simple, straightforward silhouettes for summer.

The Mojave Collection is all about optimizing summer knitting for hot-weather wearing.

Featuring six garments designed in Kelbourne Woolens Mojave perfect for warm weather, this collection celebrates the long days of summer. From the boardwalk to the desert, sleeveless tanks and summer sweaters are quick to knit and fun to wear.

Bodie Meghan Kelly

Bodie is worked flat in pieces from the bottom up. The cable repeat is centered on the front and back for each size. The K1, P1 Ribbing is worked flat and is designed to appear continuous once the pieces are seamed. The neckline is left as-is, with no additional pick up or edging worked, while ribbing is worked to finish the sleeves.

Yarn Kelbourne Woolens Mojave: seafoam green 333, 4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins.

Gauge 22 sts + 34 rows = 4” in Cable Pattern on larger ndls, after blocking.

Needles US 2 (2.75 mm) and US 4 (3.5 mm).

Size 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58)” [86.5 (96.5, 106.5, 117, 127, 137, 147.5) cm] bust. Sweater is designed to be worn with 2” (10 cm) of positive ease.

Desert Queen Meghan Kelly

Desert Queen is worked in pieces from the bottom up. The back features a garter border and A-line shaping. The front is worked in the same manner as the back through the A-line shaping, and then an eyelet pattern is worked on the front yoke. Once the fronts are complete, the shoulders are joined with a 3-Needle Bind Off, and the sides are seamed.

Stitches are picked up at the neck and armholes, one round is worked, and then stitches are bound off for a clean edge.

Yarn Kelbourne Woolens Mojave: slate gray 025, 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 6) skeins.

Gauge 22 sts + 28 rows = 4” in St st on larger ndls, after blocking.

Needles US 3 (3.25 mm) and US 4 (3.5 mm).

Size 30 (34, 37.5, 41, 44.75, 48.5, 52)” [76.5 (85.75, 95, 104.5, 113.5, 122.75, 132) cm] bust. Sweater is designed to be worn with 2” (5 cm) of positive ease.

Evening Star Meghan Kelly

Evening Star is worked in pieces from the bottom up. Increases shape the dolman body, and stitches are cast on for the sleeves. After the sleeves are worked, short rows shape the shoulders. After joining the shoulders with a 3-Needle Bind Off, stitches are picked up to work the cuffs. Stitches are then picked up to work the front band.

Yarn Kelbourne Woolens Mojave: prussian blue 402, 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8) skeins.

Gauge 24 sts + 30 rows = 4� (10 cm) in St st on larger ndls, after blocking.

Needles US 2 (2.75 mm) and US 3 (3.25 mm).

Size 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58)� [86.5 (96.5, 107, 117, 127, 137, 147.5) cm] hem circumference. Choose your size based off of your hip measurement.

Keane Wonder Meghan Kelly

Keane Wonder is a sporty racerback tank top worked in pieces from the bottom up. Short rows shape the hem, and a-line decreases shape the sides of the tank. When shaping the racerback, you will be working increases and decreases on both right side and wrong side rows. Pay attention to the stitch pattern and maintain the pattern as set when working the increases, working purl increases or decreases when necessary.

Yarn Kelbourne Woolens Mojave): bright yellow 737, 3 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7) skeins.

Gauge 20 sts + 32 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Garter Stripe on larger ndls, after blocking. 20 sts + 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in 1 x 5 Ribbing on larger ndls, after blocking.

Needles US 3 (3.25 mm) and US 5 (3.75 mm).

Size 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58)” [86.5 (96.5, 106.5, 117, 127, 137, 147.5) cm] bust. Sweater is designed to be worn with 2” (5 cm) of positive ease.

Kelso Meghan Kelly

Kelso is worked in pieces from the bottom up. The front features a simple decorative eyelet panel and the shoulders at the front and back are shaped with increases and then short rows are worked for a nice fit. After blocking, the shoulders are joined with a 3-Needle BO and the sides are seamed using mattress stitch. Stitches are picked up to work the armholes and neck in a one-by-one ribbing.

Yarn Kelbourne Woolens Mojave: flamingo pink 669, 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7) skeins.

Gauge 20 sts + 28 rows = 4” in St st on larger ndls, after blocking.

Needles US 3 (3.25 mm) and US 5 (3.75 mm).

Llano Del Rio Meghan Kelly

Llano Del Rio is worked in pieces from the bottom up. The front features deep ribbing and a wide center lace panel, while the back has deep ribbing and is all in stockinette stitch. A lovely ribbing detail frames the split hem. Once the front and back are complete, short row shaping shapes the shoulders and the shoulders are joined with a 3-Needle Bind Off. The sleeves are worked flat and then seamed into the body. Stitches are then picked up to work the ribbing at the neck.

Yarn Kelbourne Woolens Mojave: natural 105, 6 (7, 7, 8, 8, 9, 9) skeins.

Gauge 20 sts + 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in St st on larger ndls, after blocking.

Lace Panel (29 sts) = 5.5” (14 cm) on larger ndls, after blocking.

Needles US 3 (3.25 mm) and US 5 (3.75 mm).

Size 40 (44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 68)” [101.5 (112, 122, 132, 142, 152.5, 162.5, 172.5) cm] bust. Sweater is designed to be worn with 8” (20 cm) of positive ease.
